Pools that are never open. Basketball courts that are never used for basketball, only ping pong and pickleball.

Beautiful facility with great classes and staff. Clean, spacious, don't feel like you are in a basement like other ymca locations.

We had such a wonderful experience with the Jump Start classes at Goldfish Swim School in Malvern!…read moreMy daughter went from having zero swimming ability to confidently swimming all over the pool in just three weeks. The progress she made was truly incredible! After only three weeks of classes with her instructor, Jayln, she was jumping in and out of the pool, rolling onto her back to float, diving for toys, and swimming around confidently without struggling. We went on vacation right after her third session, and we were amazed to see her confidently swimming and moving around even in the ocean! Jayln was an amazing instructor, so attentive, patient, encouraging, and great with our daughter. She made the lessons fun while helping her build real skills and confidence in such a short amount of time. We absolutely loved her and are so grateful for the foundation she gave our daughter. We couldn't recommend Goldfish Swim School and Jayln more! Going from not being able to swim at all to having this level of confidence in just three weeks was beyond what we expected.

We loved our swim coach - Delisa but are not a fan of the administration at this location. We…read morereceived mixed messages regarding when make up tokens could be used. If you miss a class you receive a make up token but you can't actually use that on the day of your enrolled class, it has to be another day. So you will basically be charged for every class at the beginning of each month, regardless of how many make up tokens you have - which doesn't really make sense to me. Instead of problem solving the person I spoke to on the phone talked over me and just unenrolled my toddler from the class. She said we will be switched to "a pay as you go" instead. A few minutes after the call I checked my account and all the make up tokens were gone because she used those as credit for the month. I didn't even get the chance to verify how many make up tokens I had left. We have a pool at home and loved these classes to teach my son the skills needed to swim. My plan was to keep my son enrolled because he just started really enjoying the lessons but we will just carry on with the lessons learn from his swim coach Delisa.

The classes are structured and the teachers, while young, are certified. I felt my kids were placed in the appropriate levels. Once, we even moved him (down) after the second week because we agreed that he was not ready for what that class was going to do. I cant speak to the others here, but I had a pleasant experience with management. One thing I will say that made a big difference for our kids and their progression. We attended family swim, which is Saturday and Sunday nights. I dont know what it is but after having us in the same pool they are learning in, they made big improvements. We played but also tried to practice what we saw in class. (You watch each class from behind a one way mirror). We don't take lessons over the summer because of our schedule, but will be back in the fall!

Tried to cancel, no response. Was charged another month and tried to contact again, no response. Had to stalk her at next class to talk in person, and she refused a refund and didn't care about my concerns. emailed again inquiring about not being given the first responder discount I was supposed to get that month, no response. just so unprofessional and rude. Instructors change frequently which is not comfortable for small Kids. The instructors are children themselves and some dont Seem comfortable working With kids. The director is usually hiding in her office with the door closed leaving young new instructors struggling. I do not recommend.

My rating is strictly based on my beginner adult swim class with Bill. I had an incredible time and…read morelearned a lot from Bill. Week after week, I became a better and better swimmer. It was well worth the cost for me! The main con I had was that the women's locker room was disgusting. The moment you walked in, you could immediately smell the urine. It was awful, I would hold my breath every time. The showers were also gross and had very weak water pressure. The entire 2 months of my swim classes, the machine to dry your swimsuit was broken until the very last day of my class it worked again.

As a former Program Coordinator at the YMCA childcare center, I came in wanting to make a…read moredifference. From day one, I had concerns about cleanliness, safety, and the overall operation of the center. Rather than simply complain, I did what I could to improve things. The center had one washing machine shared by multiple departments and no dryer, so I took infant and toddler items home every Friday to wash them. I also consistently enforced the no-shoes policy in the infant room because children's health and safety mattered to me. I regularly went above and beyond, even sacrificing my lunch breaks and occasionally compromising my second job to meet the needs of the center. I genuinely wanted to help create a place where I would feel comfortable enrolling my own future children. Unfortunately, I did not feel that same commitment to fairness from leadership. Within approximately 100 days, four Black employees, three of them in leadership positions, were terminated. Meanwhile, I observed white employees involved in situations that appeared to warrant accountability but received different treatment. One white employee received a week of paid leave for an incident I understood to be comparable to one for which a Black employee was terminated. A white senior director was also investigated over allegations of creating a hostile work environment for a Black employee, but, to my knowledge, faced no comparable disciplinary consequences. A few days after my own termination, I also learned that another white senior director had reportedly nearly released children to the wrong parent, who had to correct her. I was not present for this incident, but learning about it raised additional concerns about accountability in a childcare setting where children's safety must always come first. I was promised proper training when hired, but the person assigned to train me was terminated just two days before I started. I sent leadership a detailed email explaining the lack of training and support I experienced, and my concerns were never meaningfully addressed. I was ultimately terminated as well. Given the pattern I observed, I have serious concerns about whether Black employees were being held to different standards than their white colleagues. I cannot speak to anyone's intentions, but the apparent disparities deserve to be examined rather than ignored. In an economy where losing a job can have devastating financial consequences, fair and consistent treatment is essential. Black employees deserve the same consideration, due process, and accountability as everyone else. The YMCA's mission is supposed to be about strengthening communities, supporting families, and providing safe environments for children. Those values should apply to its employees and leadership, too. I gave this center my time, energy, and genuine effort because I wanted to make it better. I hope leadership takes a serious look at its childcare operations, staff support, and disciplinary practices. Children deserve safe environments, employees deserve fair treatment, and families deserve an organization they can trust.

There was definitely some bumps in the road in the last year or so with the abrupt dismissal of the principal and a large turnover of staff, but those that have remained and have recently come on board have been fantastic. They have really impressed me with their dedication and involvement in my child's development, happiness, and well-being. My daughter is currently in their pre-K-A class and we have had such a great year so far. She's learning a lot, gaining more independence, and we can see how much she likes being there. Sometimes not wanting to leave because she's having too much fun. At the request of many, they finally updated and improved the outdoor playground last summer. Loving not having to pick mulch out of my child's clothes and hair anymore Haha. They offer lots of special events and programs for your child to engage in. Music, Martial arts, soccer, art, gym class, sensory play, teacher for a day, field trips to the elementary school, Valentine's Day Music Concert, and so much more. Shout out to some of my favorite teachers and staff that have become friends: Miss Tina, Miss Colleen, Miss Ally, Miss Sao, And Miss Jamie. Thank you all for loving and taking such great care of my girl! :) We will miss our CBA Preschool next year, as we will be moving up to the CBA Elementary School in September. The facility is large and well maintained. However, we had concerns regarding the state mandated ratios that were not being met. Whenever we addressed these ratios, we were told the head of school would call us and he did not. We ended up pulling our child due to even more concerning events that were hidden/covered up by leadership. I would strongly reconsider sending your child to Chesterbrook.
