Went on a Saturday afternoon and pool was not overly busy. Very attentive lifeguards. Kiddie pool with slide/sprinkler. Midsize (mid depth) pool for "yellow" band swimmers and a larger pool for older/"green" band swimmers. Close-by playground. Nice that you can take snacks/or DoorDash a pizza. kicked me and my friends out with no notice and treated us horrible despite us paying a monthly membership fee. No customer service or hospitality unless your elderly or middle age. I would never recommend this place in a million years and even am attending the neighboring y instead of this one. read more

Worst experience ever. You can't play basketball. Me and my friends were kicked off the basketball court by people playing pickleball. So we decided to go to the other gym we were in joying a game, then were kicked out by a daycare. I just think there should be a place for people to play basketball for all the money I play to go there read more

Have had a family membership to the Kennett YMCA for more than 25 years. All of my 4 children took swim lessons all the way through the Y aquatic program, are now great swimmers, my youngest now on the swim team. My children and I have taken countless classes: swim, yoga, art, LEGO's (!!), tennis, spin, summer and after school camps and more. All of my children have also participated in multiple youth sports programs as well. Kennett Y is a clean, safe facility where I and my children can utilize the programs, swim, exercise and weight equipment and more. I even feel comfortable dropping off young teen children to work out while I am busy running siblings to other other local and school activities or I am running local errands. Also, love the warm water pool for my arthritis! One of my favorite aspects of the Y is it's commitment to inclusivity for all. Every member is treated with respect; people of all types and fitness levels are welcome and supported. I love the sense of community at the Kennett Y. I highly recommend this facility! read more

Kid private swim lesson is a waste of time and money if you get an inexperienced instructor. Pretty much no improvement after many lessons compared to when started. They will never refund you. Be aware that you could waste a lot of time and money with them. Terrible experience. read more

Problems have escalated to the point where I don't feel safe going there. Have been bullied by a couple of members, and also upper level staff who just recite the company philosophy like a mantra. Serious complaints are disregarded because they don't fit with their idea of community. They do not respond to constant repair issues with machines, bathroom plumbing failures, high noise levels in women's dance classes, hallways, main entrance, coffee table area, parking lot speeders who bully their way through pedestrian crossing lanes, missing weight equipment, vandalism of some machines, cheap low end machines, treadmills frequently failing with long delays for repairs, sauna room out of commission often waiting for parts, pool ramp is a slip hazard, lockers broken into, high emphasis on yoga classes even for kids 2-10, foyer board advertises Democrat Marianne Williamson, new age proponent, running for president, poor heating/cooling resulting in high humidity indoors and constant sweating during workouts. All this plus high membership costs. They just fired 4 very good staff persons to balance the books. read more
