In February, our world turned upside down with a text that our daycare was closing in three days…read more We had no plan, no back-ups, no hope, and I started frantically calling around for options that were reputable with immediate openings. Cris had shared with us her incredible experience at LSP with her daughters, and I crossed my fingers. LSP on Chestnut literally saved us from a terrible situation and had a spot for Evelyn starting in three days. But LSP was so much more than daycare. It was a place where Evelyn was loved and cared for by people who really loved her. In the six months she's been at LSP, she's thrived. She's grown her vocabulary, developed so many skills, became obsessed with babies and purses and uses sign language at home. Every scratch, reported. Every snack, documented. Every activity, photographed. The communication eases my anxiety every single day as a working mama. But she has received the best childcare experience at LSP. Ms. Julie, Ms. Anna, Ms. Ashley, Ms. Claudette, Ms. Stephanie, they've all be wonderful and cared so deeply about our daughter's health and happiness. I'm so thankful for LSP!

Every month there is a different theme and it gets explored everyday in different ways. I really enjoy and appreciate the daily picture and text updates on how my son is doing. This place is really top-notch!

I have had nothing but problems with this daycare receiving my communication and expectations when…read moreit comes to my son. He has been sick numerous times since starting here back last October. After a complaint was filed with the health department due to not reporting illnesses as well as reporting illnesses to parents they are under investigation for telling parents a sliver of the truth from the health department or make up blatant lies because it's what Neena, the owner, would prefer. Not the actual guidelines. My son had been bitten five times in three months with nothing being done to fix this issue. Apparently it's been "five different children" but I was also told my child is not causing any issues at daycare. After talking with Neena and trying to find a solution another report was made to the state and an investigation was started. Once Neena found out that the report came from me she called me and disenrolled my son from daycare because her feelings were hurt she got caught not taking the proper protocols and procedures in order to protect the child she has at her daycare. She makes it painfully obvious her biggest concern is money, not the children. My son had gotten hand foot and mouth twice, pink eye, multiple GI issues, the flu, and other sickness like colds and such. I cannot stress enough how this daycare will not be respectful of your children or the cleanliness of their building considering how often children get sick and sent home.

The nurses at the DR office even laughed at our faces and said he didn't need to come in and even recommended us different daycares. Then yesterday neena jumped out in front of my girlfriends moving car with my 1 year old son in her hands to stop her from leaving cuz they had a disagreement on how she runs the daycare. Then threw him at her when she got out the car and told her she's not allowed back. Isn't that ENDANGERMENT!!!

My husband and I do not qualify for federal assistance but were told here that we would have to participate in the federally funded food plan once our kiddo is 12 months old. I have no issues with this except for that it was a hard rule. They stated there was no flexibility unless it was a doctor-documented food allergy. In my personal opinion, every child progresses at a different rate and shouldn't have to be blocked by a hard rule to follow. I also feel that if I want to bring my own food I should be allowed to do that. I know what my child will eat or what they have been favoriting, or possibly what hasn't been sitting well. It should be between myself, my husband, and our pediatrician to decide how to progress with table/solid food. I thought this rule was a little odd and tried to ignore it. I couldn't get past it and checked around with about 10 different people including two directors of other programs. Every single person thought the same thing as myself and my husband, that this was a very odd rule. We were told it was because we can't have some parents bringing McDonald's or Chick-fil-A for their kiddo and other kids don't get that. That happens at school k-12 and they have federal food programs so I don't agree that that is the only reason they make this a hard rule. I believe it is because they rely on the federal funds and that is a requirement to receive that money. Two of the directors or other programs I spoke to are both child care centers not related to a church or religious organization. Things I did like: * The security is top-notch if followed. I did observe one of the employee's keys in her code in plain view of me to open the door. * The rooms looked cozy and well-maintained. * Their emergency procedures are well thought out and practiced. * They have an interactive app for parents. * They accept credit card payments, which apparently isn't something all places do. * Teachers and Staff seemed to be very kind and knowledgeable. If the forced rule of their menu doesn't bother you this is a great place to take your kiddo. My original post was deleted, fortunately, I screen shot it to share with my husband. It doesn't seem fair or good business practice to me (and we own a small business) to delete honest and partially positive reviews. I also don't feel as though I was harsh or negative. Just honest with something I thought to be odd.
