As I continue to unpack my well labled boxes, I find so, so many that do NOT have the contents as labled on the box lid. My assumption, the lids were being traded off to another bottom was becasue they (the guys bringing in the boxes to the house) had pilfered through them checking for valuables. My fear early on was the trucks bringing our belongings would be gone through, but they were in a secured trailer(s) of which we held the information on the ticket that would let us know if someone had broken into the trailer. No folks, this is the guys bringing in the belongings to our home & placing a person in the trailer to open the boxes as they were then to be carted into the house. I had a feeling something was happening as it was too slow of a progress to put a hand truck under the extact same size boxes to be unloaded. But because they are paid hourly, they probably will milk it out for more money. They did over charge us anyway, I guess they get paid for lunch.........?
It's tough to find reliable people, but unless you babysit them, your belongings are always jepardised. Tape your boxes shut with a band going around the body of the box. Tape is cheap when you consider what people can steal! read more
