The floor also has computer that you may use for your financial aid purposes. The lines can get pretty hectic here but every school I have been to has the same problem so I wont complain much about it. They are usually pretty quick or try to be at least. The second floor is my favorite floor, it houses certain club resources such as sports clubs and The Trio/Eop office. I spent most of my time at the Trio office is a great program that assists student with tutoring and advisement. It also takes field trips to grad schools for those interested. I highly recommend applying to get into the program is worth it, they have computers you can use to do your homework or just browse around. Beats going to the library trust me. As for the other remaining floors, I've never step foot in them as of yet but when I do I will update this review.

I don;t quite remember this building when going here, so I suspect it's a new building, or at least refurbished. Being summer, there was not much of a student population when I had my transcripts sent, but I could imagine September will be drama filled, as students via for classes and the ever so needed financial aide. Located at the northwest corner of the campus, parking for one hour can be had for two dollars, right behind the parking information center. Easy-peezy.

For those of you looking for a place that will help your kids out with school, this is one of the best and most unique places out there. Unlike Kumon and Sylvan, Homework Bound focuses on the homework the children bring home rather than bombarding them with additional work and exercises. The teachers help the students understand their homework first and reach the root of the problem that way. Thus, those who need some extra focus can get that and those who need additional guidance can receive that as well. The program focuses on organization and time-keeping skills that will help the children with their homework and can also be applied elsewhere even after they leave the center. The teachers are great, caring, funny, and also focusead. They are chosen very carefully and put a lot of heart into what they are doing. Mr. Vesagas, the director, is also a very caring man who devotes so much of his time to his program and the children. He is extremely passionate about helping each child individually and always makes sure that they stay on track in terms of finishing their work. I definitely recommend this place if you are looking for some extra tutoring for your child. While this isn't a "day-care," it is a great alternative to it. Bring your child home in the evening with their homework finished and enjoy some very much needed family time. :)

There's almost always free food provided by the bustling and career center. This varies from coffee, donuts, bagels, portos and juice. If i'm not provided free food, my favorite place to grab a bite, Arbor Grill, is next door. We have computer labs and very updated rooms in this building. The classrooms are very clean, modern and have comfortable seating. The air-conditioning is always on which is wonderful in our 90031-100 degree weather

We immediately liked the owner and instructors! Our son enjoyed going every week, we even walked 1.5 miles each way twice a week and he never complained. That's unheard of for a fifth grader, but he honestly liked the environment, the instructors and definitely the snacks! His school didn't give homework so he only worked on the curriculum that Mathnasium provided and we weren't really able to determine if Mathnasium was truly effective until he got his end of the year repot card. For the first time, he received "exceeeding" marks ONLY in math! And even more indicative of Mathnasium's effect is the glowing progress reflected between his midterm and end of the year marks. He did a little over seven months, twice a week consistently at Mathnasium and I'm honestly really pleased with the progress he made! During every ongoing conference, the staff consistently provides detailed updates on how Sebastian is learning and how engaged he is during his sessions. They do a great job communicating exactly what he is working on and how he is progressing. The teachers regularly share feedback on his skill development, especially in reading. They encourage him to sound out words he doesn't know, then read passages with him after his attempt to ensure he fully understands the material before answering questions. What I appreciate most is how supportive and encouraging the staff is. They always reward Sebastian for his efforts, reinforce positive behavior, and work to build his confidence.
