I have witnessed first hand, rudeness towards parents coming from the current administration. Not to mention how the current administration cancelled all afterschool dances, a weekly afterschool zumba class, and various school fundraisers. The classrooms were stripped of microwave ovens and refrigerators. Cooking classes are no longer allowed. The current administration even went as far as closing the Administrative Assistant's position. The school no longer has a vice principal. The animal area containing chickens, rabbits and ducks was also removed by the current administration. The school yearbook was also cancelled. And even considering the fact that the current principal spent 10 years in the US Army, he also cancelled the morning flag salute over the schools public address system. Teachers and staff have had their positions closed, and/or their hours cut. Many staff have been moved by the principal to other schools and centers, usually women over the age of 40, and replaced with much younger, inexperienced staff, new to the district. Some older female staff have been forced into early retirement by being placed in assaultive classrooms by the current administration. Now honestly, would you want your mother treated that way by her employer after 30 yrs of dedicated service? There was once a "family" vibe here, and now moral is at an all time low. Unfortunately what was once a fun, positive school for students, staff and parents is now simply a dismal facility used to only benefit the current administration. Its time for a change.

Her level of skill and expertise is outstanding, and she has an intuitive ability to know exactly how to connect with each child and bring out the best in them. Beyond her talent, Naomi is unbelievably warm, friendly, and encouraging. She brings boundless energy and joy to her work--we call her the "Speech Therapy Miss Rachel." My husband said that he has never met anyone more enthusiastic about their job, and that enthusiasm is contagious. We adore her, trust her, and it's immediately clear how deeply she cares. Naomi consistently goes above and beyond. She even took the time to send me worksheets for my daughter who is NOT her client, simply because she wanted to help. That level of generosity, dedication, and heart is rare. We feel incredibly lucky to have worked with her and recommend her without hesitation to any family looking for a truly outstanding speech therapist.

Narda tried multiple techniques until she connected with my son. The team is not only knowledgeable and professional, but also incredibly patient, caring, and truly invested in each child's progress. Since starting therapy, we've seen so much growth in our son--both in his communication and his confidence. The therapists take the time to tailor each session to his needs and always make it engaging and fun for him. What really stands out is how supported we feel as parents. They consistently provide guidance and helpful tips we can use at home, which has made such a difference in reinforcing his progress. We are beyond grateful for the impact they've had on our son and would highly recommend this clinic to any family looking for compassionate and effective speech therapy.

So, she has an exceptional understanding of the ins and outs of educational services and therapies that may be best for your child. She also has a unique ability to connect with parents and ease their anxieties about the daunting journey of understanding the IEP process. She holds your hand through the process and has an uncanny ability to hold space for your worries, while gently assuring you of the right strategy/steps forward on how to proceed with your child's school. Her rates are beyond reasonable for the degree of professionalism, insight, and experience she has regarding how best to navigate schools. Not only is she a seasoned and passionate educator-she is a parent of 3 beautiful children who each have an IEP. So, she understands the special needs parenting journey from the inside out. Immediately after our consultation, she wrote me an organized, clear email of our next steps with helpful tips on how to communicate with the school for an important meeting the next day. I spoke to many advocates and Angie strikes the right chord of seeking collaboration and knowing which battles to fight, when, and how to bring people to the table in what is sometimes a contentious dynamic in an IEP team. The IEP can feel so intimidating and overwhelming. You want what's best for your child, and you may feel at a loss on where to start. Or, like us-you may have reached a crossroads and need some expertise to help guide you through the landmines of the IEP process or to your input at the IEP table with someone more agile with this type of complex, loaded communication. I can't thank Angie enough for being so flexible, accommodating, and responsive. She's organized, strategic, insightful, and experienced. Call her!

Where do I start? When Big Solutions came into our lives we were hesitant because these were strangers who were going to socialize with our son and as parents we were scared of negative outcomes. Julian's journey began with his initial assessment and eventually to in home therapy. He was assigned 3 therapists including 1 supervisor. They (Ari, Claudia, Joy, & Paulina) are blessings!!! They connected with Julian but also became our teachers! They helped all of us with Julian's needs and how to understand what he was seeking, whether it be physical or emotional. As a parent with a child with autism, sometimes it's too easy to become frustrated and lose hope in any progress they may not meet. An example was my son's eloping. His father and I had no clue how to predict it or manage it. We would all take excursions to our local mall and his therapists were there with us the entire time. We learned to predict when he would run off, and why. He was seeking attention and sometimes just over stimulation so we learned to ask him to use verbal and non verbal cues of where he wants to go. Fast forward to three weeks ago while visiting an outlet shopping center (yes we wore masks) and we practiced all of those steps and he didn't elope! Had it not been for Big Solutions I would not see us going out with much ease as we have been. This is an agency that turned our life around and became part of our family while maintaining their professionalism. Big Solutions ENTIRE staff, from scheduling to in home, were amazing and extremely accommodating. They consistently helped Julian with communicating in various ways and adjusting to unexpected changes that happened every day. Big Solutions also helped us as parents in not give up and letting frustration and fear run our lives. They taught us so much and how to cope with unexpected outbursts and helping our son focus on his school. We were definitely lost in the ASD world and Big Solutions led us to a place where consistency, patience, and goals were good starting points for any situation. Thank you Big Solutions!

I have come to realize the firm, in Mission Hills, controlled by the CEO/BCBA lacks an 'inspired…read moregrowth' in company culture and inability to provide a healthy work environment. This specific firm seems to abide by social cliques and favoritism, making it difficult to collaborate as a team and move up in positions. The lack of respect, synergy, and compassion has hemorrhaged quality workers. Their lack of staff (BTs/BCBA) is due to: Abrupt schedule changes, extensively watching you work through cameras, hostile training, CEO/BCBA shifting blame to BTs, and inability to give a WELL DESERVED promotion. There is a lot of restraints/holds that are not documented or shared. CEO/BCBA has dual relationships with certain clients and is NOT proactive with their clients. If you agree with how they treat their employees, imagine the impact they have with your child. They have withheld information to parents about what happens in the workplace, and has had the police called on them to IMMEDIATELY share a report to insurance and to parents. Look somewhere else! This forced plenty of Behavioral Technicians to spread their ethics very wide, while simultaneously being gaslighted, micromanaged, and exploited. This is a toxic, passive aggressive, workplace that does not hold empathy for their employees. You will exhaust your efforts working alongside the incompetent CEO/BCBA. The micromanagement and dishonesty due to their lack of mentorship has driven many people out of the company. Here's a piece of advice: Treat ALL of your colleagues with kindness, they are the backbone of your company. Turn your attention to your clients best interests and continually build rapport. Don't bite off more than you can chew! Projection is uncanny in the workplace.
