I'm truly impressed with his drawings and the skills he has learned/retained. Our school's leadership team spent a wonderful evening together creating a 16 panel artistic master piece without much experience under the owner's direction and had a blast doing it. I couldn't believe my eyes and had to meet "Ms. Erna." After all, it was only an hour! I arrived early to observe this art instructor. She was very kind, kept the children engaged, and taught them to approach this craft with whimsy, encouraging them to not be intimidated but to have fun! Needless to say, I wanted in! Later, I enrolled in one of her crafting classes at Dragonfly Garden and Gift Shop in Orange. Never painted before but she taught me to paint my own canvas book cover using stencils to create designs. My book cover turned out absolutely beautiful and worthy of selling in a boutique!! Bottom line: She has a knack for teaching others to reach deep within their souls and unleash their inner artist! My daughter can now sketch upon demand because of the confidence she received from Erna! She's also very kind and generous of her time. I highly recommend Erna for any event or crafting you'd like to do!. I swear, you won't be disappointed!

She's been so excited ever since the first class and is going to love it Original review My daughter really enjoyed her introductory class last month, and we were eager to sign her up for June. When we inquired about enrollment, the teacher specifically told us it was too early to enroll but that the time slot we wanted was available. We were instructed to wait until closer to June and were assured someone from the studio would contact us to finalize enrollment. Since no one ever reached out, I called the office on May 27th to get her enrolled. To my dismay, I was informed that the class was completely full. It was a big surprise, especially since we learned there had been a family on a waitlist for that same spot since April, a detail that was never communicated to us during our May visit.

She has a whole art studio set up next to her house for the kids. She takes them through all the different medium (pastels, oils, water color, etc) in an organized fashion over time. Best of all, the kids can enroll at any time. When the kids are very little, she plays children's music during class to keep them entertained while they work. My daughter has learned so much from her and Miss Natalie is always so nice! Best of all, you can tell she is a legit artist in her own right. We almost signed up for one of those strip mall art classes and I'm so happy we found Miss Natalie instead. Especially with a lot of the creative arts being cut from the public school, it's more important than ever to expose the kids to art. Miss Natalies class is perfect. She has classes after school during the day, evening classes, and classes during school hours for the home schooled kids. We have had to juggle our day and time a couple of times and she is always able to accommodate us. She is great with the kids and always is smiling. My daughter is learning a lot and having fun while doing it. Seriously, stay away from the strip mall chain store art classes. There is no comparison.

Unfortunately, traffic & parking in Laguna was an absolute nightmare. We took separate cars and spent around 15-30 minutes just looking for parking, so we ended up running pretty late. Our instructor was about to ask us to reschedule since they had another class right after, which was understandable since their email warned us to arrive early. We felt so bad & apologetic especially since some of us drove all the way from SD and LA :') Thankfully, another instructor was kind enough to step in & accommodate our group! Those who arrived earlier were able to make 2 pieces (one on the wheel & the other by hand), while the latecomers only had enough time for 1. Despite the chaotic start, we still had such a fun time & especially enjoyed our second visit where we got to paint/glaze our own pieces! You also have the option to let the staff glaze for you in a solid color, which was convenient for those of us who lived farther away. The entire process took about 1-2 months from our first class to picking up our pottery. The team was also super communicative through email, answering all my questions and keeping me updated on when everything was ready. I know our group didn't make things the easiest for them, so I really appreciate how accommodating and patient the staff was!! Definitely recommend booking a class here, just make sure to give yourself PLENTY of time to find parking lol. Would love to come back :-)

We contacted Mary and set up two sessions (two hours each). Mary was very flexible and patient, and she tailored the sessions to our needs and desires. For our first session, she went through all of our photo settings and showed us how the camera worked, giving us lots of tips and advice (as well as helping us choose the best settings). For our second session, we decided to spend about an hour shooting our toddler (I told you she was patient), and then I spent an hour going over the basics of Photoshop Lightroom and editing some of the pictures we had taken together. For us, these sessions provided a great foundation of a mixture of basic skills, and we feel confident in our ability to take some great pictures on our Christmas vacation! We enjoyed Mary's friendly, welcoming personality in addition to her knowledge and skill.
