What a great idea! Went there to let my daughter sell her toys and clothes, whatever they won't purchase you can donate to a local thrift store which is awesome. They had a large selection of kids clothes, books, toys, baby strollers and plenty other items. The staff was great, explained how the process works and where the donations go. When they are done processing you items they call you up, you either can get cash or store credit. Store credit is usually a few more dollars, my daughter found some things she wanted so we did store credit. It can get packed as the isles aren't the widest, and a lot of people come in to drop off items for purchase. It helped show the value of money to my 9 year old. I popped in a few weeks ago looking for a wooden baby walker. I was surprised to see how expensive the second hand items were. Yes, everything I looked at was in good condition (so at-least you know the quality is still there) but some of the prices were very close to the original purchase price of the items. I also wasn't able to find anything that I was looking for so, I'm not sure if it was really worth the trip. *I can't comment on the service from the employees as no one asked me if I needed help. Brought in several bags full of great kids clothes from the last 2 years, they only took 3 items and told me "everything was too old for them". Nothing I brought had holes, stains, worn out. While waiting for them to go through the bags I browsed around the store and saw so many clothes that were worn from washing, old kid clothes from brands that aren't even sold anymore in stores and haven't for years. There is one older lady there that is constantly rude and belittling to customers. She had her picture on here to warn costumers but management must have gotten it taken down. Every single time I come to this location they are so rude about dropping off items instead of staying in store. If it's not an option that don't offer it. I picked up my stuff today and 10 items. I've been here a few times now, pretty good selection of clothes, books, toys, etc. Definitely helps when needing to get rid of clothes my little one has grown out of and for a reasonable price in either cash or store credit. On top of store credit you also get an extra 20%. They also have a military discount. Sales are great too. If you have an account there they even send you texts to let you know when the sales are happening. A great way to find play clothes for my daughter and not having to break the bank. They also have some things that haven't been used, original tags and all. The staff is friendly so that's a plus. We have bought and sold clothes here and we have had good experiences overall. The store is clean. Everything is well organized. Staff is nice from what I can tell. Pricing is pretty good. Location is great, it's near a Whole Foods and many other stores right off the interstate. They always seem to have a good selection of books, clothes and toys. Downside is that some of the toys don't look clean or in good shape. Overall it's a solid store that's worth checking periodically for new arrivals. read more

Came in to sell brand new jeans and shoes in original packaging. During the inventory the process took forever and the lady ripped all of the new packaging my items came in. The issue wasn't even that they offered me $20 dollars for $150 of brand new items it was that she ripped all of my new packaging of my items! Now they don't look new at all. Do NOT bring anything here. They will steal everything from you. I want to start by saying that I called in advance and had asked if there was any policy in regards to same day pick ups. The woman had told me that they wouldn't get to my items that day anyways and that they would text me when everything was evaluated. A few days later, I get a notification that my items are ready for pickup.... In which they offered me not even 1/5 of what the items were worth. I chose to decline the offer and pick up my items. As I go to pick up my items, the cashier hands me the cash for the items they want to buy. Again, I had politely declined the offer and told her that I wanted my items back. She proceeds to tell me that the items they took were already mixed in with their store inventory and that there was no way of doing that. Since there was apparently no way of getting the items back that I NEVER approved of being sold... I had asked for the items that they didn't want. She then informed me that THE REST OF MY ITEMS WERE DONATED. Again, something that was NEVER approved. All I have to say is how disgusted I am with a company that claims to be helping families in need, because you did mine so dirty. You all should be ashamed of yourselves. They USED to be super nice here...that's why I came as other stores were so rude. Well today it changed. I was one in f the first to arrive, they pointed to a shelf and gruffly said "put your stuff there". After waiting an hour and watching 2 people who came in after me get paid and leave I said "yea need to step outside for :15 for a work call". This is a great place to shop for gently used clothes and shoes as well as many other things for the kids. The store is surprisingly clean, smells fresh (unlike many other 2nd hand stores) and the customer service is excellent and helpful. I love how organized everything is at this store and the prices are reasonable. Being a frequent buyer here also receives many perks, such as coupons & scratch off tickets when check-in on Yelp (yassss). I've found many items that still have the original tags on them from brand name stores like Crocs, Polo, Gap etc. I like coming here to get fashionable clothes at a great discount for my kiddos. It's also great that they allowed 7 days to return the full price items for store credit that could be used within 3 years. I love me a consignment store! Especially when it comes to finding cute clothes for my kiddos. I've been to consignment stores across Jacksonville and this one is by far the most organized and clean and with friendly staff to boot! Everything I purchased was in very very good condition, no holes or marks on anything. Their prices were extremely reasonable. I was able to find high quality brands including Mini Boden, Vineyard Vines, Hanna Andersson, etc with less than $10 price tags. I like the way things are organized as well - size/type/outfits/outwear/and boutique brands together. Couldn't have asked for a better shopping experience. It's a trek from where I live in Jacksonville, but honestly because of my experience it's well worth the drive. read more

I have a previous children's clothes business and decided to offload our inventory with a new baby coming to make space. Out of 4 large boxes of NEW WITH TAGS clothes Kid to Kid Jacksonville picked out 58 items they would buy. Now they offer 20-30% of value per their employees and website. Retail for the 58 items was $1,256. A simple 20-30% offer would've been $377-251 off. Now let's say they use the term "value" differently. If they were to "value" the clothes at half that cost the offer at 20-30% would've been $189-126 - which is likely what's expected. Now what did they actually offer? $47. Yes $47, not even $1 an item for brand new clothes - many of which were 2pc sets. That's 3.75% of retail. Pictures are attached of their chosen 58 items to offer - which I of course declined. I would steer clear of any Kid to Kid - what they lack in value, they also lack in customer service. read more

Pawn shop of handy downs. Went here with several like new name brand Nike, Owlet, designer brands and literally got offered 2.15$. Save your money just truly donate to good will and get a write off receipt and recoup your costs later and help a family out than to go to this kids pawn shop that will lie to your face and offer you nothing. Best yet, they have the audacity to be rude when you refuse their 2$ offer. I dare this business to reply so I can post their offer and other stuff thus truly exposing them. My daughter and I love this place, she fell in love at the front door... If you come visit you'll see exactly what I mean. Everything is really clean and orderly and the associates here are uber helpful. Especially if you were a first-time parent or just needed a little help finding a great gift or size. The selection is far better than any similar store I've visited. We literally drive from the northside to come to this location in San Jose. I came in on Saturday with a huge plastic gray bin of clothes. I came in and the young lady wasn't accurate about my info. I re-entered it 3 times. Two ladies asked if I wanted cash/credit and if I wanted to donate. I said I wasn't sure, she said I had to decide then. She suggested cash and i could change if I decided. I had ibrough a wooden child's gate, ugg boots, jordans, a pair of air maxes, (3) pairs of vans,Nike manoas, (2) pairs of converse, (2) pairs of crocs. Along with about 6 long onsie pajamas from primary. Polo tees, polo sweatshirts, cat& jackets items. They only gave me $66.00. I left and told them I would return bc they were packed. No one said I wouldn't see what they chose/ or not. They were unorganized about who brought what and in what baskets. I never had a problem, until I came to pickup the cash/credit. I was asked which was mine, what rent we labeling what's being dropped off? Last, the lady said I wouldn't be able to see them, they put them out already. How is that possible if I hadn't decided what I wanted to do regarding the transaction. I'm very disappointed. I completely understand being busy, a little disorganized but to be blatantly careless about what someone is choosing to give your company an opportunity for a profit. Money is not everything. Not all parents who purchase from kid2kid can afford to pay big prices. Some choose to purchase for the purpose of donating to others in need. This store is absolutely amazing! I usually visit Once Upon a Child every few weeks for my 1 year old, until my friend told me about this store. When you check in here on Yelp, you get a voucher for a "free scratch off card." I have checked in here twice, and Yelp has given me 2 scratch off vouchers. The first one got my son a free book, the second one got my son a free outfit! The first thing you'll notice about the store is that there are two doors... a small one for the kids, and a normal sized door for the adults. I think it's pretty cute. The store is super clean and smells amazing. It is very well organized. They have such a large variety of clothing, toys, books, shoes, and any other children's supplies you can think of. They didn't have a lot of 18 month clothing for my son in specific, but we still enjoyed browsing everything else. There are a lot of name brands you can find here for cheap! Sometimes, even brand new with tags. It's a hit or miss, like with any other thrift/consignment stores. This was a wonderful children's consignment shop. Everything is clean and well organized. Things were priced pretty well. There were a few toys and boutique clothes that were priced higher than your average thrift store but everything sold was in near perfect condition. I'm a grandmother of 7 grandchildren and one on the way, due in March 2021. My daughter and I went and bought the new grandchild his first clothes from newborn to 3 months! Was so much fun. We spent .25-$3.99 per outfit and now she feels better prepared! The staff and customers were all are wearing masks and social distancing so we felt comfortable. The clothes are clean, look new and there's a hug selection. That is why we prefer Kid to Kid over other consignment stores in Jacksonville. They offer many incentives for their customers. One favorite to me is on Fridays they offer grandparents 15% off! Lastly my daughter brought in several items to consign from her other children and had $29 of credit to spend in the store for the new baby! I brought in my items for sale before noon. I received a call at 4:06 pm saying they wouldn't buy items because the outfits that went together were safety pinned to their mates. Stating the items now have holes in them. They then said I had to pick up all my items before the closed early at 5:00 pm. I had to rush back to the store to get my things. As I packed up my items I watch them poke holes en every clothing item the tagged for the floor. I also looked over at a bin that belongs to the store and noticed several of my items in the bin. When I asked about the items they initially told me the items were not mine, but one of them was hand made by my friend and another was pinned together just like my other items. They back tracked saying they were put in there by mistake. I took my items to my car (they wouldn't even hold the door open) and watched as i dropped things trying to get it all out. As I was loading the huge bags and boxes into my car a manager then comes out to talk to me because she wanted to make sure I "understand " the policy. read more

This children's store is great! Everything is very clean and well organized! I typically hate shopping at used clothing and baby gear stores but this place is such an exception. I walked through the door and had to take a double take look because I thought it was new stuff. Everything on the shelves is clean and well organized and all the tags show the price clearly visible. The staff is very nice and very friendly. I definitely recommend shopping here. They have a frequent buyers stamp card, and a book of the month club where you can get a $1.99 or lower book for free with any purchase. They had awesome finds and great prices :-) read more

I have went to this place a few times ONLY because it has a lot of quality stuff. The only deterrent is the majority of the employees are not friendly at all except maybe one,The employee with the very short haircut and wears a hat who helps bring stuff to your car. Every time I have came here I was never greeted upon arrival and NOONE is smiling or asking if you need anything. I'm not exaggerating EVERY TIME. Especially the lady with brown short bob and glasses she frowns and has a cold demanor every time I have been there. I remember one time my little one (2 year old) was playing with some of the items and it was not put back in place( not on purpose). I would've put it back if I noticed right away. She kind of huffed and puffed. She is not the only employee there that gets aggravated with the kids playing with stuff. I've seen it with other kids there and the staff reactions. I'm like geez you work in a kids toy store it's going to happen often. Plus the toys are everywhere it's nearly impossible to keep kids away at all times. They are going to touch and move stuff. If the staff are always annoyed about the kids playing they should not work at a kids store and keep the items at a higher reach. The place is great for kids the employees just need to work on customer service ASAP. P.S. I thought it was just me but after talking with some other moms in the public they've all felt the same about the customer service. read more
