We met a few times in the months leading up to check in about my plans and for her to offer suggestions and guidance. All her recommendations were excellent, from timeline details to referring other vendors. She knows the Outdoor Art Club (a historic building) inside and out, so I was able to relax completely and not worry about their rules and requirements at all, trusting that Stacey had it covered. I made things more complicated by having our ceremony at a nearby park instead of OAC, but even with that added everything went absolutely perfectly. She also did an excellent job setting up all the decorations to make the room look gorgeous, and packing it all up for us at the end of the night, including a mail order Photo Booth that had to be packed just right back in its original box. She also had a number of decorations we could use (frames for signage, a card box, some candles, candelabras and votives, blankets for the ceremony) that were incredibly helpful. She had all the logistics and details covered, letting us and our families just enjoy the night and float through each different part without any worries! As the bride, I didn't think about anything but celebrating all night, and that is all thanks to Stacey's expertise. She also did our save the dates and invitations, as well as much of the signage for the wedding itself, and they were all beautiful. She really went above and beyond, including finding a specific font and actually creating some design elements herself that fit my vision, and I'm so appreciative!

My only requirement was "elegant, but fun" and that's exactly how the evening turned out. I was in tears I was so happy with the final results. My daughter, her boyfriend and I loved everything (and I'm type A and very picky!) Stacey always communicated about party arrangements on time and I was never worried about the party being the perfect day. Everything was completed on time and as planned- leaving me able to enjoy myself for the evening. Several guests commented that it was the best party they had been to! Stacey coordinated flowers, rentals and cookies with amazing vendors. She's the best!

From the beginning she made it clear what the timeline would look like for our partnership - what would be needed and when. When I became a little overwhelmed half-way through planning, Tyler was able to pick up additional scope of work which was a huge relief at the time. She also saved me a huge headache by picking up and dropping off some of my rental items since the minimum order spend for delivery was more than double my rental quote (my wedding was in a pretty remote area so most companies charged a high fee for delivery). Tyler was very thoughtful and organized about the little details I didn't think of which showcases her high degree of experience and attention to detail. She wasn't afraid to push on things on behalf of myself and my husband with our wedding venue - which I really appreciated! We had great communication throughout the wedding planning process - centralizing information in a shared Google doc. Tyler was willing to review my own personal wedding planning documents as well. She was always quick to respond to emails or texts, and also let me know in advance if she was going to be delayed in responding. On the day-of, Tyler had a great demeanor - when I saw her I could tell she was getting down to business but she made sure to keep things calm and light with me - making sure I felt comfy and relaxed on my wedding day. She kept things moving in the wedding day so we kept pace with the timeline. She made sure to account for all the logistical things like where to store decor items before and after the event. She was fantastic at corralling all the wedding vendors, collecting all the documents and information and knew when to keep me in/out of the loop at all times. Overall I would highly suggest working with Tyler for her high degree of experience, organization, thoughtfulness, and overall pleasant demeanor.

Originally Emily was going to be the Day of Coordinator but once she began asking me questions if I had this, that, and the other, I thought there was no way I could do this without her. I immediately spoke to my husband and said we need her for the entire wedding preparation. It was ON! Emily kept me calm and confident everything was going to be beautiful and work out wonderfully even with all the family, dress, and school drama I was going through. I found Melissa through my wedding venue (Solage Calistoga) and I could not be happier with MAP Events. Since my husband and I had already picked our venue, we hired Melissa to take care of all of our other details. During our initial consultation with her, we were immediately impressed with her professionalism while not coming off too "stuffy". It was clear that she had both the experience and staff to pull off our dream wedding while staying within the confines of our budget. At no point did Melissa try to work outside of our budget, and since her pricing was a flat fee, we did not have to worry that she would try to up-sell us. In addition to creating a wedding budget, Melissa also recommended various vendors and helped shape our vision by hearing all of our ideas and making them a reality. I cannot count all of the emails that went back and forth between us during our engagement, but she was so responsive to all of our concerns. She also went to several meetings with us to help us choose our florist and stake out our venue. More than anything, Melissa gave us piece of mind that everything would be taken care of during our wedding weekend. From timelines, to dealing with difficult family members, to coordinating vendors, Melissa and her staff gave us the most special wedding weekend, and we did not have to worry about a thing. Our family and bridal party all commented about how professional and nice she was. After our wedding we immediately went on our honeymoon for two weeks. Our venue contacted us to let us know that there was surplus wine left at the resort that needed to be picked up. We panicked since we would be in Hawaii for two weeks with no way to get back to Calistoga. Before I could even respond, Melissa had already arranged to pick up our extra wine and have it stored with her staff while we enjoyed our honeymoon. It was this attention to detail as well as her ability to put out fires that makes Melissa an invaluable source for brides on the big day (and even after the fact)!

I read Georgianna G's review and would like to say that over the course of the year we planned this wedding together she was not late once and promptly returned every call. Melissa went above and beyond for us. Our venue (Annadel Estate Winery) was a complicated one. It's necessary to bring in everything from outside vendors. Tables, chairs, lighting, all the kitchen equipment, tents, even restrooms had to be rented from outside vendors and their delivery and set-up coordinated by Melissa. No small job. On top of that, the owner of that winery is...slightly...erratic in terms of...well...everything. She handled everything that came up with him with grace and aplomb. On the day of, I was able to concentrate on my new husband, family and friends with no distractions. On top of that, when the expenses were starting to creep up, we figured out that furniture from cocktail hour could do double duty during the dancing and Melissa arranged to have it moved while we were having dinner. Thus saving us quite abit of money. A direct note to all future brides: sometimes you'll get fantastical ideas in your head about what you want. Melissa will do her level best to accommodate you, but will also point out potential problems. I thought it was a fabulous idea to have peacocks roaming around. She clued me into the fact that they are actually quite mean birds. I did some research and found out that, particularly in the spring mating season, they have been known to attack people who get to close. While that would have made for a memorable wedding, I stuck with the no-peacock plan. Choose Melissa. You will not be disappointed.
