Stopped in last night to grab dinner with my roommate. We were both pretty hungry, and this was close, so we decided to try it. Service was friendly, but slow. And I mean, slow. I work in the industry myself, so I understand when service is slow, due to being busy. However, the place was dead, so I couldn't make an excuse. My roommate ordered the Tailgater, and it came out cold. I got the Philly cheesesteak, and fries. My sandwich was hot, but had hardly any cheese, and tasted like they used Steak-Ums. Ew. And my fries were cold as well. Seems to me that their kitchen staff didn't understand the concept of firing the fried food last to keep it hot and fresh. We were pretty disappointed, and just got our checks and left. Definitely will not be returning. Our server was very friendly, but just slow for how dead they were. Overall, if you like poor quality food, cold fries, and slow service, this is the place for you. I think I'll just stick with Moonrunners up the road for my bar fare. read more

In February, I paid a visit to Kickback Jack's to partake in the wings that I usually order. However, when they were brought out to my table, I was shocked at how small they were. There wasn't a normal size wing in the basket! Every time I have ordered wings in the past, they have been a good size. (I never received any small wings.) I showed the wings to the waitress and explained to her that the wings were very small and that I would like to have a few extra wings to make up for the small ones I received. I also Informed the manager about it when she stopped by my table. She explained to me that the wings vary in size; some are small, some are larger. I told her that when I've eaten here before, I have never gotten a small wing. So she said that she would bring me "a couple" of wings. So that's exactly what she did. She only brought me out 2 wings, which are the equivalent of 1 whole wing since they were sections. I actually thought that it was a very chintzy gesture given that ALL of my wings were extremely small. They were half as big as they normally are! If I had been the manager, I would have brought a whole new order of wings to a customer if they complained about the size of the wings. Clearly, she saw that the wings were miniscule. As much as the restaurant charges for wings, I am appalled at how this was handled. The only food I have been ordering lately when I eat there are the wings. Now, I may rethink eating there again if I'm only going to receive small wings. This restaurant was about the only place I could find nice size wings. Now, I can't even expect to receive large wings from here anymore. Word to the wise, people will stop ordering wings if they are going to be this small from now on. I know I will, and I just may not eat at Kickback Jack's again anytime soon. I will also pass the word along to anyone else I know, including a few friends who have ordered wings from there regularly so they won't be unpleasantly surprised like I was. read more

Kick Back Jack's is our neighborhood sports bar. It is less than a mile from where we live and it is go to for us. It has pretty consistent food. Beer wise - it doesn't have the selection of microbrews that TMAC has. If you want a large selection on Microbrews - TMAC is your spot. Just a good, solid sports though - Kick Back Jack's has your back. My standard order is the chicken finger platter with french fries. The chicken fingers are always on point. Sauce wise, I order Ranch - they have one of my favorite Ranch dressings. I also order a side of their Honey Buffalo wing sauce. I really like this sauce as a dip for my Chicken Fingers. The fries can be some of the best fries out there. They are really flavorful. The only complaint - sometimes I get more fry pieces (little tiny pieces of fries) than full, long fries. While it's inevitable to have a few of these in every batch - sometimes I get more than just a few pieces. Again - when I get a good order of these - they are some of the best fries around. I have also had the cheesesteak and the chicken cheesesteak. Both are also pretty good. read more

Fayetteville manager was very rude. Burger was so fat and overcooked. Fries were burnt.

Wings were terrible and although I asked for them to be extra crispy they still came to the table almost under cooked. We did not complain. Problem was, our bill was wrong and had to be corrected 3 different times. In the end, the manager came over and said we owed for several additional drinks which were not ours. No big deal we would of paid it but the manager was so rude, unprofessional, condescending and worst, Confrontational that we will never go back. Do NOT patronize the establishment. read more

The food was a little above average but our service was slack. Had to ask twice for mustard for my son's cheeseburger and by the time he got it he was pretty much finished with his meal. I would go back, but not in a real rush to do so. Hey, it's a sports bar so it is what it is. read more

Service was awful. And they weren't even busy. The server didn't refill the drinks one time. It took 10 minutes to get waited on. We asked her to bring the salad before our meal, and it was brought after. Her response was " I tried, sorry". However, the food was actually pretty good. read more

Pretty good place to eat. Like most eateries, some things on the menu are better than others. Beer prices are reasonable. service is middle of the road to good depending on who your server is. I can't even give the Garner Station Rd location a star. They were very unprofessional and not business minded in dealing with me and my family. I recently visited this location for my birthday with a party of 25. We waited for an hour and 45 minutes with the staff giving us numerous exscuses such as they were waiting for the kitchen staff to catch up or they were waiting for the other waitresses to catch up. The whole time they still were taking others in as we sat there waiting and watching. The manager did not help the situation out any as we spoke to him about the long wait. They have lost a good customer in me and my family! read more

The servers, food, and atmosphere are great. The management team could not be more poor. Have asked for changes of games which everyone in the surrounding area is ok with, and they will not do. Today's experience, I waited over an hour for an order of wings, management came over stating, someone else took your wings, I told them they had to pay for them since they ate them. I went to this restaurant today 7-17-16 for my birthday celebration because I love their food and they have always accommodated us before with a large crowd. There was 28 of us it was busy so we waited to be seated. Only half of us were seated then we got a song and dance, after that half the party had to sit on the other side of the restaurant although there was three vacant tables directly beside us. By this time there were no other customers waiting to be seated . It was my birthday and I wanted us to all sit in close proximity to each other. The manager was awful, I don't know if it was her first time or what but her only concern was the servers and what the tip was going to be. We as the customers was treated with no regard. Again it was 25 adults they all would have gotten a huge tip. We were all African American and I truly believe if we were Caucasian we would not have been treated like that. I'm so disappointed with Kick Back Jacks, I will never eat there again and I won't recommend it to friends and family. We ended up leaving and going across the street to another restaurant that was more than happy to accommodate us. Thanks tripps, for salvaging my 62nd birthday dinner. Kick Back Jack we will not settle for your non sense. The consumer always comes first. I hope you retrain your manager on customer service. You just lost several loyal customers. read more

Lauren in Cary who had an awful service, that is very rare there. It sounds like your server was very rude! that is not typical of Kickback Jacks. We eat there a lot and 98% of the time the food is excellent and the servers are great. We had one young lady who took our order and we never saw her again until the bill came. She didnt get a tip, but the person who brought our food out got a tip and so did the guy that got us another drink. read more

Great place to eat ! Service was excellent along with the apps and dinner. We were there in the afternoon and the place was very busy but the manager took time to stop by along with the kitchen manager to ask how everything was. Let me start off by saying, my experience here was so awful, that it convinced me to make a Yelp account. My friends and I decided to come here for some comfort food on a quiet Sunday night. It was very slow and serene as there were no popular games happening. We came in a group of 6. We were seated right away. Our waitress gave us our menus and took our drink orders. It took probably 10 minutes to get us our drinks. and then had the "ok what do you want" attitude. Only 5 of us ordered food and most of us just got appetizers. It took a really long time to get our food, and they did not bring one of my friends their appetizer. We were all finished eating by the time he got his tortilla chips. One of my friends had to ask the hostess where the rest of the food was because no one else could be found. He got his food immediately after so they were probably just left in the window. I got the chicken tender platter and my tenders were barely bigger than my friends jalepeno poppers and my fries were crumbles. Our waitress didn't even ask us if we were ready for checks, just brought them out. My wife and I's order totaled up to $30 and some change. There were suggested tip amounts at the bottom of the receipt. It suggested we tip 18% which they had calculated to be $11. false. it's almost 5. We tipped the ACTUAL amount and left hungry. We arrived at 5PM Saturday with a party of 8 and were told the wait time was 30 minutes. After half an hour, we checked on our place in line. "A large party is about to leave and we'll seat you after their table has been cleared." An hour later, they told us the large party they were hoping would leave were lounging. In the meanwhile they had been seating smaller parties when they could have put two smaller tables together to accommodate us. It's not rocket science. We still gave them a nice tip, but then the bill cleared our bank with an amount higher than we signed for. I called them Tuesday night. My boyfriend and I went there admittedly pretty late one weekday. Id say about twenty minutes before they closed. We both work in restaurants and were fully prepared to eat quick, tip great and get out of there fast. We instantly had the rudest service from one of the waitresses. Within the next ten minutes tvs were turned off, bright lights came on, our check was dropped and boxes were given. Ten minutes before they even closed and not even two minutes after our food had been dropped out. It was blatantly rude and the manager was clearly the lady turning lights on and tvs off. My boyfriend got ribs that he couldn't even enjoy being forced to eat them later on at home. Service industry is tough and part of that job is smiling and still delivering great service which is what we came in there expecting. I know other restaurants where managers would be fired for closing early or forcing guests out like they did. We will never go back there! read more

This place use to be good when it first open up, Not anymore! Wife and I decided to stop there Saturday night to grab a bite to eat. On the way in notice empty tables on the patio and requested to be seated outside. Hostess stated all the tables were taken, Really? Stated we seen up to 5 empty table. The hostess got real rude and said I told you they were taken, Whatever, We proceeded to sit inside dining area that you had to scream to the person next to you to be heard. Ordered nacho's for our appetizer which was 97% nacho chips with little to none toppings. Ordered our entree, After waiting 40 minutes for our food my wife stopped the so call manager that was walking by, We told her how long we waited and how unacceptable this was as a patron. She said I'll look into it, Came back and stated the waitress put the meal ticket in only 10 minutes ago. Stated to her once again the waitress took our order 40 minutes ago. We barely received an apology, An experience restaurant manager with any class would of at least have offered something on the house for their gross negligence. Nothing of the sought was offered. Usually eat here 2-3 times a week easy, generally at no less than $13with tip included per visit ($26-$39 week or $100+ monthly). I have turned many of my colleagues, family and friends on to this place and was really quite happy with it. Place is really convenient to my job and usually pretty fast and accurate in their service. Whoops. Not today. Nuh-uh. Server got my order "WAY" wrong. And when I told her about it she just kind of stood there looking at me and my colleague. Against my better judgment (and I don't do this usually cause I want what I pay for and that's that) I volunteered to see if I could make due - no way. Tasted terrible. Server never volunteered to put in another order or check with management to see if there was something they could do. But she promptly bought my check and began conversing with her fellow servers. I honestly think she put the order in and neglected to tell them that I didn't want cheese on my Philly Cheese steak. So.............. I paid a whopping $11.03 for a Sweet Tea and partial order of fries with a side of ranch dressing - I couldn't even bring myself to eat all the fries I was so mad. Again, it seems that she wasn't a bit concerned. But that's okay -I wasn't concerned about leaving her a monetary tip. I do have a tip though - be very careful when taking and putting in people's orders because missing something can be the difference between someone eating something they have allergies to and/or the place loosing business because customers decide to take their business elsewhere. Oh yeah. Be ethical enough to admit if you make a mistake and offer an alternative - even if you have to pay for the mistake yourself. I have worked in the food industry and realize that there are times you have to do that. Oh well, looks like I'll be looking for another place to spend my money. A place where the servers appreciate their customers and aren't afraid to make things right - whether the mistake was theirs or someone else's. So long Kickback Jacks. I'll miss you. read more

we went in for an early dinner, just the two of us. as usual the place is so loud there is no opportunity for conversation, unless one wants to shout at the person across the table. so we quietly sat and waited and waited and waited for our waitress. when she finally showed up we were ready to order. we placed our drink and food order and then waited and waited and waited. finally another waitress saw we had nothing in front of us and brought us our drinks. we had to go looking for silverware as our waitress didn't give us any. someone else brought us part of our order. we never got our salads and our waitress never came back to our table. i watched her go to table after table but not our table, not once. i had to go find her in the restaurant to get our check. she finally did come to our table to see if she got a tip. the food in this place isn't good enough for one to get such crappy service. there aren't many good restaurants around our area, but i'd rather go to popeye's than this place again.
