I've changed my original review of this Church's Chicken in Angleton…read more Back in the late '70s and early '80s, Church's was on another level--the food and service were 10 times better than what we see today. I had a pretty bad disagreement with this location not long ago, and it reminded me just how far the standards have slipped. About a year ago, things looked like they might turn around. A new management team seemed to improve service for a short while. But something changed again, and now it feels like the restaurant has fallen back below standards. To be fair, the employees here work hard and deal with a lot. The bigger issue seems to come from management and ownership, which affects everything else. Bottom line: Church's is still a staple in Angleton, but it's no longer the Church's I grew up with.

I went by our Popeyes here in Angleton with a coupon for 2 pieces of chicken a biscuit & a side of mashed potatoes & gravy, it was very tasty, but I was very disappointed, at the size of the portions, i thought i was eating a midget chicken. I have hunted all my life and I have seen Doves & Quails with bigger legs & breast than what I was served, I must say i enjoyed the meal but there just wasn't enough of it, come on Popeye, lets feed your chicken some steroids to get a little more meat on their bones. After tonight I can understand why business has fallen off, I said I would…read moregive you another chance. Today was very upsetting, I went in and ask for a Tuna on wheat, and was told that they were out of wheat, so the girl that was waiting on me, chose a 9-grain honey oat bread and then she told me that she was out of Tuna, so I ask for cold cuts and then she told me that all she had was bologna & no cheese. Now when I started with the topping, they were out of purple onions, so I settled for lettuce & tomatoes, with mayo, there wasn't much more to choose from, and after paying found out that they were also out of small drink cup, so I ended up with a large drink. I am not for sure what is going on, but it really needs to be fixed, sorry to have to let the world know but you really need to try to get it together. Thanks Rick A
