They always have a nice selection of fresh, ready-made sushi boxes at the front counter, usually priced between $ 8 - 10. The rest of the lunch menu has decent variety too (except for sushi rolls - these are pretty limited). I definitely recommend the teriyaki salmon steak bento box. For only $15.50 you get a nice sized piece of salmon, 3 pieces of tempura, a small salad, rice, miso soup, and 2 pieces of sushi. Yum!

Well, how pleasantly surprised I was to find it is superb. Started with mixed sashimi, beautifuly presented on a slate, very fresh. The teriyaki salmon bento box was wonderful with so many little delicacies. My John dory with scalaps and a home made tartar sauce was out of this world. There is a small but adequate wine and beer list and sake of course. The service is warm and friendly with a very pleasant ambience. For a Japanese restaurant the price is quite reasonable. A massive lunch for only $17. The ginger pork set was similarly impressive, as was the sushi set and teriyaki chicken set. The special of the day is $13.90 and includes a featured lunch set with free wine/tea or soft drink. Everything else on the lunch menu is still between $15 and $20. Amazing dining for the price.
