Short review: We are very very happy with our bathroom…read moreremodel. Everyone on the team was really nice and I was very pleased with the way that they set up/prepped before and cleaned up after the job was done. Luis and Bree are a great team to work with from start to finish. Communication was fast and they helped with every step of the way from design to purchasing to following up with every concern no matter how small. I have my spa bathroom that I've been waiting a very long time for now! Many thanks to their whole team. Long review: We had a bad experience with a company (not Tincopa) that was supposed to repair a leak that was coming up our upstairs bathroom. They tore out our shower floor without asking and didn't actually repair the leak as promised. Tincopa was able to find the leak and tell us what actually happened very quickly. Wish we would have found them first! From the start Luis and Bree addressed all of the concerns that we had about budget and let us know what we were going to be able to realistically do. I messaged Bree A LOT about design choices and she had really great suggestions for everything from tile to fixtures and even ideas for storage. She helped get everything ordered and they kept it in their warehouse. She had suggestions for where to go shopping for tile and was able to help us purchase things and the team picked them up. It saved us a lot of money on delivery fees. I would not have been able to find some things on my own like a gorgeous Taj Mahal quartz ledge for the shower. Luis was on the job site for the start of each part of the process to make sure things went the way they should be. If a new person was going to be in our house he was there to introduce them and tell them what was supposed to get done. This really helped to ease my concerns about things going well. The last people we had where it went wrong was because it was a game of telephone and the person who promised to be on site was not. Every person on his team was very friendly and respectful as a woman I think that's such an important part of who to hire. I felt comfortable and safe with everyone on his team that was here. My dog also liked everyone here which I think says a lot too! Shout out to Alberto and Leo (tile) for all of the great work they did. They did full prep work putting up plastic barriers to seal off rooms and on the floor where ever anyone would be walking. They swept the patio after they were done as well. Everyone showed up on time and Luis was great with communication about when and who would be showing up. Any questions we had were followed up with an answer very quickly and many times Luis showed up at our house to talk in person so that he could see exactly what we were asking about. I appreciated the walkthrough meetings that we had so that we could get exactly what we wanted from the exact height of fixtures to where we wanted the toilet roll holder to be installed. Overall I am super happy with the process and how the bathroom turned out!

This post is so overdue. Life happens but I wanted to share my experience with Tincopa Inc. In…read more2024, our ceiling collapsed with no warning. What made it even scarier was that my wife and our newborn were home when it happened. It was one of those moments where you immediately realize how serious the situation could have been. We later learned the AC unit in the attic wasn't draining condensation properly, so water had been pooling above the ceiling until it finally gave way. We were referred to Luis and gave him a call. He and his team stepped in quickly. They addressed the water damage, repaired the ceiling structure properly, and got the house back to move-in ready in under a month, which honestly exceeded our expectations given the extent of the damage. We also had a LOT of belongings to work around, and their team was extremely respectful of the rest of our home. They were careful about dust, debris, and protecting our things, and they kept the work area contained so the rest of the house stayed clean. Luis checked in with us often and shared progress updates throughout the repairs and that level of communication gave us confidence every step of the way that we chose the right contr. We're genuinely thankful for the care, workmanship, and timely execution. Tincopa Inc Construction is the kind of contractor you hope to find but rarely do, someone we truly trust and wouldn't hesitate to call again.

John Christopher Construction built an ADU to my exact specifications, worked with me on a daily…read morebasis, and brought the project to completion in the budget allotted. Ours was not an easy build due to the fact that we had to excavate quite a bit as the ADU was build in to a hillside and near a slope to the rear of my property. If I had to focus on one thing, it would without question be communication. I was assigned a job foreman who guided me through the entire process, listened to my needs, provided me feedback, and helped me along the way with all the little changes that arose during the build. We made a few changes along the way and we were given clear communication of the requested change, as well as a fixed price for the change. The use of sub contractors is a part of any build and each of the contractors selected were respectful of my property and my neighbors, did an above average job, and were a compliment to John Christopers team. I would advise anyone considering an accessory dwelling unit to choose this contractor for the project. We spent a lot of time selecting the right contractor and were even led astray by a few. I can honestly say from my perspective, there's no-one better suited to build a detached ADU than John Christopher Construction. Before choosing John Christopher, we viewed several of their builds in process as well as spoke to some of their employees and customers. We would be happy to host potential customers as the pictures I am attaching to the review don't even come close to doing the ADU credit.

Eric, Anna, and Russell did an excellent job converting our bathtub into a beautiful walk-in shower. Eric was professional, punctual, detail-oriented, and very easy to work with. Our bathroom came with several unexpected challenges, but Eric and his team handled every obstacle with patience and professionalism. They took the time to do everything the right way rather than take shortcuts. The final result turned out exactly as we envisioned, and we're very happy with the quality of their work. Jae handled the project from the initial design and planning through the HOA approval process, material selection and procurement, installation, and final completion. He coordinated the many details involved and made the process much easier for us. The finished backyard is beautiful, practical, and thoughtfully designed. The artificial turf, trees, roses, surrounding plants, mulch, landscape lighting, and decorative planters work very well together. Jae transformed a plain space into an attractive, relaxing, and low-maintenance backyard that we can enjoy every day. Jae is responsive, approachable, and easy to communicate with. He answered our questions promptly and was willing to discuss options throughout the project. We were also impressed by his post-project follow-up and maintenance support. He continued to check on the work and address items after the main installation was completed, rather than disappearing once the project was paid for. Bethel Construction also installed our large chandelier in the high-ceiling stairway. It was a complicated installation involving numerous suspended light fixtures, and the final result is impressive. We are very pleased with the quality of the work and Jae's commitment to customer satisfaction. We would confidently recommend Jae Park and Bethel Construction for landscaping and home-improvement projects.

Before landing on Jae, we got quotes from over a dozen contractors (quite literally). Not one of them came close to matching what he offered, both in scope and in price. Our project was quite large in square footage and required specific materials and scope based on our vision. The other bids (spanning LA and OC) either glossed over certain scope items or came in way over our budget. Jae was the only one who properly scoped everything out and still came the closest to our budget. His crew was fantastic from start to finish. They showed up on time every single day and paid attention to every little detail, even ones we missed. Those small details and their work ethic really made a difference and made us feel great about our decision to go with Bethel. It was obvious they took real pride in what they were building. They worked incredibly hard, and it showed in the final product. The photos and video speak for themselves. My husband and I are thrilled with how everything turned out. The crew executed our vision so well. We couldn't be happier, and we cannot recommend Jae enough to anyone considering a backyard or landscaping project. In our experience, Jae shared his expertise to navigate landscaping, HOA requirements, and county and city regulations. We appreciated his knowledge and feedback throughout the project. I am very pleased with my decision to work with Safa at A Plus Construction…read more We needed to repair or replace our decorative exterior shutters and a side gate in our 25-year-old home. These were the original items installed when the home was built in 2000. I really had no idea where to start - when looking for shutters, everyone is focused on internal window shutters. Gate companies were much easier to find but also very expensive. We looked at more expensive gates, and we also wanted to change the style of the shutters, but the HOA required a filing with a fee to change it from anything other than an exact match, and we wanted to wait for that in order to optimize the process in the near future when we can group many changes into one filing. So, it was important that the provider be able to match the materials, style, design and color exactly. I used Yelp projects to get many referrals for many handyman and construction companies, as well as some shutter and window companies. I received 5 quotes. The range of quotes was broad and far more than I expected in some cases. Safa provided a very competitive bid - so competitive, I was skeptical - but he was very up front with his desire to use this initial engagement as a starting point for building trust and a relationship for future work. That was a key part of my decision, and he proved that trust is warranted - I will definitely be using him in the future. I was apprehensive at first - not just for this company, but in general, as I am not sure how difficult building custom shutters and gates is. I was worried that more general handymen might not be prepared for this kind of work. Safa proved me wrong - the quality of his workmanship is excellent, and the shutters look even better than when they were new. The measurements and cuts and joinery are strong and precise. The gate is solid and a major improvement while also looking exactly as needed and just like - but better - than the previous one. This is carpenter level quality. These items will likely outlast me. Safa was a very kind and nice person. He was transparent and reliable. His communication was great. He was detailed oriented and proud of his work, and it shows. I was impressed by how hard he worked, all on his own - I assumed he would need a team, but he was able to build and mount and finish all the items on his own which I did not think would be possible. Safa made multiple recommendations we went with to enhance and enforce the build quality. Even when the work added effort and time to his workload, he did not add onto the cost. Once he committed to the bid, he honored it, even when the effort increased. No nickel and diming, no scope creep. He was also very transparent with materials - having us pay for them so there was no markup, which some might find off-putting, but I was pleased with. He even used his own funds to buy items he needed when we missed them in the first run, and we settled up with no markup in the end. I definitely recommend Safa and A Plus Construction - especially for this kind of work, which I would have thought might be outside their normal range or service offerings - I will definitely be using them in the near future. Thanks Safa!
