I also tried the chicken that was cooked in banana leaves underground which the first few bites tasted great because it had that distinct cooked in banana leaves taste, but then it was meh. The place was clean and immaculate, the staff were so attentive and the view of the lagoon was blocked by a few buses but still spectacular and unique none the less. Not a single tortilla was made so we all ate meat plain off the plate rather than as tacos. (Only thing not stocked). The flan & candied papayas were decent. You were required to walk up to the bar to order beverages. We discovered the service lacked there but dishes were cleared quickly and tables turned over in an efficient manor for the next groups. Also worth noting stray dogs were roaming through the restaurant and begging for food. Common, but those who haven't seen it may be shocked initially. Several in our tour group were bothered by it.
