Perfect stop on the way back to Tulum from Chichen Itza & Coba. Newest 8th wonder of the world: Rancho's margarita.

    Two happy campers.

Go here. You won't regret it. Get a margarita. Best one I've ever had hands down. I've had a lot of margaritas. The atmosphere was awesome and the service was amazing. Will be back.

Amazing food, amazing atmosphere, amazing service, amazing margaritas, amazing prices! What more can you can you ask for! We came here twice on our trip to Tulum, it's off 109 heading out of Tulum towards Coba. We missed out on a couple pictures of the guacamole and salad. We got some of the garlic chicken $6.00, enchiladas $5.00 and Asada tacos $4.00.. Oh and the margaritas were like $5.00 also.

This place was very delicious I highly recommend it. I loved the elote soup and the fish/shrimp tacos.

I hardly drink and did not get even a baby buzz from the drink. The Margarita was OK. The service was OK. Each drink was $300 MXN or around $17 USD. Maybe I visited on an off day? There's plenty of other places in the area, this place would be a last resort.

Lets get to the food shall we. Chapulunes Tacos - Yes I like this stuff. I adore the preparation. The avocado doesn't really do much for the rest of the taco, but sauced up its a 6.8/10 Mushroom Taco - I couldn't stress enough about my partiality to vegan food. I adore the texture and the taste. I feel they put all the effort on this taco. 8.7/10 Al Pastor - It's nice and juicy. The the pineapples are present. Taste does fall a little short from the ones I've had before. 7.6/10 Service was pleasant. The ambiance was a total vibe. I would definitely recommend. The service is quick, the prices are incredibly reasonable, and the food is consistently delicious. Before your meal even arrives, you're served a plate of fresh radishes, cucumber, and lime wedges, plus a selection of toppings including tomatoes, onions, and both a green and red salsa. Unfortunately this location didn't give us the cactus like the other locations did. The red salsa was my favourite, it paired perfectly with the tacos and had just the right amount of heat and flavour. The standout for me was the al pastor taco. The meat was incredibly flavourful with crispy edges, a smoky char, and the perfect balance of savoury spice and sweet pineapple. It was easily one of the best al pastor tacos I had in Playa del Carmen. I also tried the sirloin taco and the chicken breast plate, both of which were excellent. The portions were generous, everything tasted fresh, and the quality was impressive, especially for the price. El Fogón absolutely lived up to the hype. If you're looking for authentic, delicious tacos and grilled meats that won't break the bank, this is a must visit. I loved it so much that I ended up eating at all three locations and every visit was just as good as the last.

My wife and I shared the chicken fajitas, which were excellent. My friend ordered the al pastor fajitas, and his wife had the pork chops--everyone agreed the food was delicious. If you're looking for authentic Mexican food with excellent service and a great atmosphere, I highly recommend El Fogón. We would definitely come back!
