Just recently found this coffeehouse and I am so glad I did as the area of eastern Beaverton I live in is very low on good coffee options. I have been 3X now, and two out of 3 times the espresso drink I had was great (a dry cappuccino and a macchiato). The third time, I asked for dry cappuccino but it was prepared with too much foam/milk, however, still drinkable. The staff are very nice and helpful. I love coming here. I always grab the big armchair by the window, it's the best way to start my day. The space is so big too, I never feel overcrowded. I love that y'all bring the drinks out to your customers. It's a small thing, but it makes such a difference. The presentation of everything is wonderful, and your employees are so kind. Atmosphere is conducive to really getting work done. Menu is well-priced, seating is comfortable, tables and chairs for sitting or standing. I love the music. Love it love it love it! read more

In two words? Great atmosphere! Their name is a little long (try saying it fast three times, lol) but we have been coming pretty often. They offer the standard coffees and quite a bit more, including a long list of teas that are pretty unique. Good pastries, nice staff (one fellow calls himself Moose) and plenty of couches and chairs. Their rotating art exhibits are stimulating and they usually offer crafts by local people as well. Yes they serve Stumptown, but you can have great coffee and an inept barista and find that you've just wasted $5 on what you hoped would be the perfect latte. Not so here. This was just as good as one of my other favorites in John's Landing. Pastries seemed to be a little lacking, but hey, they only opened a month ago. Give them some time. Also a perfect spot for any sort of meeting or gathering. Open mic on Friday nights when they're open until 10:00. read more

I LOVE this place. I've been coming here since they first opened and it's still as good as it was back then. The staff is amazingly sweet, they always find a way to make my day. And I still haven't found a place that makes better coffee than they do here. The energy inside is unlike any other, as soon as you walk through the door you feel happy and secure. Went to Solace today ordered a cappuccino and the barista forgot to make my drink... meanwhile took 2 more orders and made them she sat back down and sipped on her drink while talking to a customer at the bar I had to ask her where my cappuccino was she then took almost 15 minutes to make it. An absolutely wonderful place to get a coffee or, if you enjoy specialty drinks, they have them too. Found this gem of a place, since I work nearby and was tired of the nasty tasting Starbucks. I did not know what to expect upon entering. What I got was a great welcome and a huge smile from the gal behind the counter. I thought, 10 points for Solace! So I moved in for my order, just got a large coffee with sugar free vanilla, paid and went back to work. Coffee was amazing! I thought, will definitely be going back, I had to see if the taste was just a lucky day or, maybe I was on to something here and have found my coffee nirvana! So I go back again and again, each time greeted with that amazing smile and amazing tasting coffee!!! As the weeks and months went by, I have become sort of a regular at this wonderful coffee place. During the summer time, when we had those 100 degree days I, for the first time ever, ordered an iced coffee. I was amazed when I was asked if I would like coffee iced cubes so as to not water down the coffee. I had never heard or seen this before so I said yes! What I got was the surprise of my life, I actually loved the taste of iced coffee!!! Since this was my first time having iced coffee I had nothing to compare this amazing beverage to, so over the next couple of weeks, on my days off? I went and tried some iced coffee from other establishments, and my findings were that The other places just dump regular ice into the coffee which was disappointing. Bottom line...I LOVE this place and all the people who work there, especially Misa. Always get outstanding service, amazing tasting coffee and that great smile and welcome whenever I walk through the door!!! Keep up the great work! I learned about Solace from a friend that had posted a picture on social media, so I figured since I was in the neighborhood that I would try it out. The space is ideal for sitting down and working on things on your computer, or relaxing with a good book or hanging out with a few friends. I love how physically open the space is, especially since I am so used to the crowded space of the Ava's Rosteria in Beaverton & Progress Ridge (both of have been the only decent sit-down coffee houses that I can find in the area). The staff is incredibly friendly and wonderful to talk to. While their hours are currently not ideal for pumping out essays during the late night hours (when in college, hunt for any cafe with an open table, free wifi, and later hours), I'd highly recommend Solace to anyone looking for a place to be productive or to relax and unwind. Total plus that they serve Stumptown, considering that that's a rarity here in Beaverton. read more

I've been coming here basically since these guys opened their shop. It's a family business, and the owners are super sweet and you can tell they've put a lot of love into the place. Recently I found out they even stayed open late on their anniversary night because there were still people lingering and they didn't want to kick people out. They're just great people. Drinks are consistently excellent (Stumptown espresso; I'm a total espresso snob), with lots of variety available (I could be wrong but I think they even serve beer now or are working on it?) and good variety of snacks too. Super comfy atmosphere with like four couches, consistently good wifi, late hours, plenty of outlets, occasional light music if that's your thing... This is my favorite place in town, followed closely by Southeast Grind. These guys deserve all the success in the world, and their shop is just getting busier and busier each week!
