    This fabulous Mansion was perfect for my daughter's Wedding this past weekend. The grounds are truly magnificent and the 360 views were just amazing. We were able to get many pictures here. Every room had it separate bathroom and there were additional bathrooms available. Our group was about 24 people and accommodated it just fine! The kitchen was amazing and had every tool you can imagine. Some of the other areas we enjoyed was the Bar, complete with Karaoke and all! There was a separate Bridal Suite which was also used for getting ready for the wedding...perfect! You could have your wedding at this awesome place which was our back up plan to the venue that we chose...it would have been amazing to have the wedding here as well. Harris was more than accommodating to everyone and we will certainly refer Khyra Beaucrest Ranch to everyone we know!

Not much rental activity except in the winter, damage to the property that went unreported by housekeeping, and just the general vibe that our small cabin was a very low priority for them. Finally, we made the decision to change management this summer after we completed a remodel. I found Leanne in a Big Bear FB group online along with several other PMs who responded to a post I made about looking for new management. Leanne was the only one who provided helpful, tangible information when she reached out to me. We spoke and then I decided she and SkyHigh cabins would be our new managers. The onboarding process was smooth and detailed. They are extremely professional and walked me through the different stages of getting ready to "go live" on the various platforms they use. It took about 6 weeks to get everything completely switched over. But when we did go live in mid-October 2025, all I can say is WOW!! We've had 12 reservations made in just over a week's time! We didn't have 12 reservations in the last year total with the old company, so this has been very, very exciting for us. Aside from all of that, Leanne, Jennifer and their team are very communicative and helpful. If you are looking for new management, I cannot recommend them enough. Just do what they tell you to do, use their vendors, and follow their lead. They have figured out the algorithms and rental platforms to such a degree that your property will actually start to pay for itself. We were on the verge of selling our cabin, but now, we will be able to hold on to it. Call them today!!

Here it is - all spelled out chronologically and can be backed by 40+ messages back and forth with BOTH Niki and Monica, who appear to be the same person, at least in the way they message customers 8/28/2025 $653.35 paid in full for reservation for 3.23.26 - 3.26.26 12/11/2025 New Spirt Vacation Homes removed listing from Vrbo and directed me to view all details on their own website, not via Vrbo which made me very uneasy, so I canceled my reservation per Vrbo's timely allowances. Same day I am messaged by Nikki telling me to fill out an additional refund form outside of Vrbo and that they will take no less than 30 days to complete the refund request per their right with the CA SB 644 (California Senate Bill 644 )which legally allows them to do so. 12/19/2025 The additional email form not received via email from this company. I messaged to inquire and was basically scolded by Nikki and asked why I 'did not advise them earlier that they did not send the form?' Well, because it was not my responsibility to send it! 1/23/2026 More than 30 days past, still no refund. I messaged New Spirit Vacation homes to inquire. I was told by Nikki that "half our accounting dept. is out sick, and I will personally process the refund today." 1/24/2026 Nikki messages me now stating that "Our merchant services account does not allow us to process a refund with charges that are ran over 180 days prior to request so now we need to mail you a check." Keep in mind that the date of purchase was 8/28/2025 and the date I requested a refund was 12/11/2025. Simple math shows this is a lie, as 180 days after purchase date would have been 2/24/2026! 1/24/2026 Messaged a second time by Monica stating that she is "forwarding this request for a check refund to be issued by the CEO and mailed to you today." 1/30/2026 No check received. I message again, Niki this time lies to me stating that "I work night shift, but the check was cut and mailed out yesterday so it should arrive shortly." 2/4/2026 No check received, asked status, no response 2/5/2026 Messaged them a second time, said I will be starting a dispute with my credit card company. 2/6/2026 Next day Niki responded, "I personally tried to run your card (last lie was she mailed refund SAME DAY on 1/30/2026) and it would not allow, I will need to reach out to see what is going on." ******************* THAT WAS THE LAST MESSAGE FROM NEW SPIRT VACATION HOMES, AFTER THAT I INITIATED A DISPUTE WITH MY CREDIT CARD COMPANY THAT WAS NOT RESOLVED UNTIL THE END OF MARCH 2026 ************* So why am I siting here wasting my 30-minute lunch break typing a novel? Well, remember that neat little California Senate Bill 644 (SB 644) mentioned earlier by Nikki as the reason for not refunding anyone before 30 days; basically 'because they can'? Guess what, it protects us too as consumers from unethical companies like New Spirt Vacation homes that regularly practice cash grabbing, lies, unnecessary delays and harassment with their refund process in hopes you give up and do not fight. I am not the one who gives up easily, so I have officially filled a consumer complaint with the State of California Department of Justice Consumer Complaint Office of the Attorney General I HIGHLY recommend you do so as well if they are taking longer than 30 days to issue your refund which is in a direct violation of the CA SB 644 and punishable with up to $10,000.00 fine. The breakfast in the morning was not up to par with other H.I.E. The lady running it was not very friendly. There was 45 minutes left of breakfast time but she wouldn't replace the pancake machine with new batter for my kids cause it ran out. Also she started putting food away before the breakfast hours ended. I asked if it would be possible to get a 2 hour check out extension from the front desk so my kids could finish a couple of their online homeschool classes but they could only approve an hour an hour late checkout so we had to finish their classes in the lobby. Not a big deal but it didn't seem busy at all that morning.

The hotel was perfect for our quick overnight stop.

Debbie was our guide and Kurt was our driver. When you get to the winery, Debbie provides you with a drink card. You get six taste tests (1/3rd of a glass) that is checked off by the wine stewards. The whole adventure takes about 4 hours. Overall, it was fun and a great opportunity to try different wines and see the beautiful wineries in temecula. Now, why the 4 star rating?? ~The bus featured a great sound system where we could choose songs from an ipad. But it was unbelievably warm inside. It was a hot day and the AC seemed to not be working, leaving most of us sticky. We were told to open one window at the front and at the end of the bus to let the air flow. After the first stop, most people just opened all the windows to get a breeze. One guy was close to just taking off his shirt. ~We felt that one of our stops at mount Palomar winery was rushed. Our package did include a charcuterie. And we ordered some other appetizers right when we arrived. We ended up having to cancel them since it still wasnt done and we were heading out. This also led to rushing to get the remaining sample tastes. A reciept check showed it was a 30 min visit. ~My other minor disappointment was that our guide stated they could only take photos through their phone and not our own. But Debbie's photos often came out with this unfocused glare. Rather than something crispy clear. So we took group selfies instead. You might want to take a selfie stick.
