This garage deceived my anti-theft device for $250. He sold it to me with an old anti-theft device. My engine lights are on second every two months, and the anti-theft system will ring. Jumping, I can't open the door inside the car, the burglar alarm will ring my car battery, so I can't start the car. Finally, I spent $320 to change the battery and remove the alarm. The engine light is not. The mechanics here are dishonest, unprofessional, and straight up disrespectful. My brother brought my car here for a simple alignment. The charge for the service was cheaper than other shops in the area so we decided to give this place a shot. They could not complete the service yet still charged us $60 for their time just for putting the car on the rack. My brother came back to complain to the owner about two things. He complained about charging for the wheel alignment that could not be completed. In addition, the mechanic that worked on the alignment smeared grease from his dirty clothes on my car's upholstery. Apparently, they do not put down any plastic before working on your car. We asked for the shop owner to clean the upholstery and both men claimed that the heavy grease did not come from their shop. Now my upholstery is ruined and they took zero accountability. I asked for the shop's business license and the owner refused to provide the information. Let's see how he feels once I report him to the BBB and take him to small claims court. To top it all off, he calls the Richmond PD on my brother for getting upset with him. mr. kho's the owner did a horrible repair on a transmission he got paid for his service after 90 days repairing a transmission it broke and it's been in and out from his shop to the Nissan back-and-forth for a month and a half. They've already installed five different transmissions and they still have not fixed my car and there's no. and the dealer will not give it to me here or to the mechanic it's just going back-and-forth back-and-forth but they did charge me for the full amount. Took my car there because my insurance suggested this was one of the trusted shop they work with so I can get my car serviced. Only thing the shop has to contact my insurance warranty to get paid. The owner did not want to go through with calling for my insurance. Kept saying they would not cover this. They won't cover that. Why work with a warranty company if you don't want to contact them to get paid. So bug me to pay out of pocket and...I didn't lol. Kho is a great guy and a good mechanic. He and his team have been fixing our cars for years. My wife and I are mystified by these negative reviews. In our experience, Kho has always been honest and helpful. He's like a brother to us. Of course he "takes your money." That's what a business is! He takes your money after he fixes your car. What's the problem with that arrangement? The only criticism in these negative reviews that rings true to us is that Kho's shop should be more careful to avoid leaving smudges of grease and grime on the cars they work on. Just ask him to make sure your car is protected with plastic, or cleaned after their work is done. But the prices are very reasonable, and the mechanics are excellent. Contrary to the negative reviews, if there's a mistake in their work or something still malfunctions, they WILL fix it. Did internet research and bought oxygen sensor for 49.00 and changed the rear one. Check engine light was gone. Their mechanic, a shot asian guy told me that it will be a really hard job. Absolutely 100% positive experience- I took my car to Kho for the first time today- (yes, the first, meaning I'll be back) and this was the best auto service I've had in a long time. Been a while since service, check engine light on, so I figured I'd need a whole tune up. But Kho immediately talked me out of a costly unnecessary rabbit hole, and went straight to fixing the problem. Hard to find a honest mechanic, well folks you found him and his team. Kho is almost as good as my father was at fixing cars (Daddy was an mechanic). Kho's parts and labor charges are more than fair, no overpriced rip-off here. Once he didn't have a part needed in stock, he went above and beyond by driving to an auto supply supplier to get the part so I'd have my car by the end of the day - at no extra charge. Whatever is wrong with your car before you bring it in for service will not be an issue in the future; he makes sure what needs to be fixed is done right the first time. He's not pushy trying to sell you more "stuff". His shop is not in one of the many "bad" areas of Richmond; blocks to Richmond's Civic Center. ****HORRIBLE****If I could give 0 stars I would! Car returns in worst condition then when you bring it in. ALWAYS a new issue within 2-4 days after leaving. This is one of those shops that will cause problems with your car so you have to bring it back. Fluids from previous fix ($2200) leaked, now needs $5000 worth of work. My experience here was horrible. It is overprice for the quality because the owner gets his materials from pick n pull and tries to put it in your car for normal price. Then, the car may break due to the old materials. The owner just seems like a smooth talker but I can just see from the way he treats his workers that he is just money hungry.
