Since we aren't in that area frequently, we thought we'd give it a try. It is located within a block of the town square towards the Arts Center building. There is a large parking lot across the street from the restaurant that is free on the weekend. There is also plenty of nearby street parking. As they only opened in the last couple of months, the restaurant does not have their permanent sign yet. They do have a banner, but the sign above the entrance references some former business (SNM?). Also, from the sidewalk, the storefront is glassed-in areas flanking central recessed doorway. They have not added tables yet in the glass areas, so it initially appeared almost vacant. However, we could see an 'open' sign on the door. We entered and were seated quickly. There was at least one party already there, and a couple of other groups followed shortly after we did. The interior has two rows of tables with the kitchen off to the right. The left wall is a large expanse of old exposed brick with some faux plants accents. Their background music was interesting - sort of a coffee house light jazzy covers of a variety of disparate songs - Michael Jackson to Jefferson Starship - sung by a sort of faux Natalie Merchant. Nothing wrong with it, just unusual. The menu has Thai food on one side and sushi / Japanese food on the other. My wife opted for some sort of sushi roll, which she really liked. I tend to go for Pad Thai on my first visit to a new Thai place. It is a good baseline dish to gauge them by. In this case, they did well! Everything was quite flavorful and I finished it. Prices were around $18 - $20 per entree. As I said, we don't make it over to Carrollton that frequently. However, I'll definitely keep this place in mind for our next visit.

I decided to drop in for lunch alongside my assistant, and I am thoroughly delighted that I did! The establishment offers wonderful versatility, featuring both inviting outdoor seating and a lovely, spotless interior. While I initially approached the modest setup with a touch of hesitation, any skepticism vanished the moment I crossed the threshold. The warm, comforting aroma of slow-cooked barbecue filled the air, setting an utterly delightful tone for our visit. The service was top-tier from start to finish. The owner, Alicia, is absolute perfection extraordinarily welcoming, warm, and attentive to every detail. For our meal, both my assistant and I selected the lemon pepper wings. Upon Alicia's expert recommendation, I also ordered a delightful, crisp beer to accompany my lunch. Within mere minutes, our order arrived. The wings were an absolute culinary triumph tender, exquisitely seasoned, and rich with vibrant flavor, while the beer proved to be a flawless pairing. Between the spotless environment, sublime cuisine, and Alicia's endearing, top-class hospitality, Evan's BBQ earns full marks from me. A thoroughly magnificent find I shall most certainly be returning

We love the ambience inside -- white table cloths, comfortable seating, wonderful bar--and so appreciate the outdoor dining seating, perfect for our early dinner on the Square. The wine list is excellent, offering a very nice selection to explore, which we did! We so enjoyed the delicious bread, lobster bisque, and the steak and chicken kabobs. There is such attention to detail- asparagus was perfectly prepared and mushrooms were buttery and so fresh. Our server Alex was professional, attentive, and had a great sense of timing in taking our orders and serving our food perfectly. Kudos to the chef for great food and to the management staff for excellent service, such commitment to ensuring a great dining experience. Carrollton is lucky to have such a great restaurant on this lovely town square.

The food lasted me for multiple meals. The teriyaki beef was a slightly thin beef but tasted really good. The orange chicken reminded me of Panda Express but had fresher taste to it. Everyone is friendly and will even come from the back to say greet waiting customers (at least that was my experience). The restaurant is clean and it reminds me of a wing stop type of feel where you can sit down to eat or order to go. I would give this place a try if you haven't.

Atlantic Buffet - Douglasville, Georgia 4.3 out of 5 Stars…read more If you're in Douglasville, Georgia and you're in the mood for a buffet where everyone in the family can find something they like, Atlantic Buffet is definitely worth considering. One of the biggest strengths here is simply the amount of variety. This is a large buffet with a mix of Chinese, American and Mexican-style dishes, along with plenty of other choices throughout the restaurant. If you're dining with a group where everybody wants something different, you shouldn't have much trouble keeping everyone happy. During our visits, the staff has been friendly, and we've never had to wait to be seated. That's always a plus with a buffet--especially when you arrive hungry and don't want to spend the first 20 minutes staring at the food from the waiting area. As far as the food goes, the items we tried were at proper serving temperature at the time of our review, and there was plenty to choose from. Two of our personal favorites were the Birria Tacos and Orange Chicken. And honestly, with a buffet this large, that's only scratching the surface. The price is also right about where we'd expect it to be for this type of restaurant. Depending on when you visit, drinks and tip, you're generally looking at typical buffet pricing. Considering the amount of food and variety available, we felt the overall value was good. Now, it's not perfect. Some of the food can be a little heavy-handed with the salt, so if you're sensitive to sodium, you may want to sample a smaller portion before loading up the plate. The bigger weakness is the condition of the restaurant itself. The interior and seating are starting to show their age, and some of the booths had a slightly sticky feel that could definitely use more attention during cleaning. The restaurant would benefit from a good deep cleaning and some updating to bring the dining area up to the same level as the variety coming from the buffet. But when it comes down to the most important question--would we eat here again? Absolutely. We've yet to try anything at Atlantic Buffet that we wouldn't eat again. There are certainly areas where the restaurant could improve, particularly with cleanliness and updating the dining area, but the friendly service, large selection, good food and reasonable buffet pricing outweigh those negatives for us. If you're in the Douglasville area and you're looking for a buffet with enough variety to satisfy just about everyone at the table, Atlantic Buffet gets our recommendation. Good variety, good value and plenty worth coming back for--just give those booths a little extra scrub!
