During his visit with Dr. Lavi he insisted he get new blood work to confirm his diagnosis yet failed to submit the right order. The office acknowledged their mistake but said the doctor refused to put in the correct order because my husband had been approved to see a podiatrist (for an unrelated issue) so he recommended he have the podiatrist treat him for gout. When I called member service to report him they disclosed the doctor had no notes about gout in his file. He failed to do his job in every way.

First I had a medical assistant call and asked a series of questions about me, and the the end she said the doctors assistant would call in a few minutes. I received a call from Jesse and he also asked a series of questions about me, also asked reason for seeing the doctor. When I talked to Dr Clark it went very smoothly and efficiently. What helps to get the most of a appointment is to be prepared with a list of medications, illnesses,surgeries and concerns you might have. The facility was clean and staff was nice.

Every other doctor I've been to treats me like I'm crazy and talks AT me rather than with me. But not Dr. Dorio! He spent close to an hour with me, talking things through and looking things up on his phone for me. I've never felt so validated and TAKEN CARE OF in my life. (Which is crazy, because isn't that what doctors are supposed to do in the first place?) The only "real" negative about Dr.Dorio's office is the office itself. It's a bit like you time traveled to an asylum in the 70s -- small, windowless rooms, very dark hallways, etc. I definitely wouldn't want to be alone in there when the sun goes down, that's for sure! I was released from the hospital the next day and was only given half of the prescriptions I needed. I was told to call his office and when I did, was told he had left on vacation and to contact the Hospital I had been in. When you're really sick and dependant on someone else to help you... it's scary. Dr. Terrazzino made me feel at ease in the hospital, but afterward, not being able to get the prescriptions needed made me feel scared and alone. First of all, I had to tell her what to assess and what interventions to provide. Second, she prescribed him a strong diuretic without warning him. I blatantly said NO to the medication and she went ahead and prescribed it anyway as a combination medication with his BP Med. Thank God I checked before he took his blood pressure medication because he could've ended up in the hospital for a significant drop in BP. She prescribed it without warning and if I had no idea about medicine my husband would've been in the hospital. She is a negligent doctor who deserves her license revoked!!!! I have already filed a complaint with the board of medicine in the state of California. After allll that I called the office and asked them to IMMEDIATELY change and remove the diuretic medication from his blood pressure medication, the office staff assured me they would remove it. To no surprise my husband went to get a refill and his medication was STILL combined with the diuretic. I am beyond angry and frustrated at the negligence of the office and the incompetence of the doctor. Some people do not deserve to obtain a medical degree nor have lives depending on them. She is an abomination to medicine!!!
