HORRIBLE LADY. Rushed the exam and then started to leave. I said I had some concerns to discuss…read morewith her and she said SHE HAD OTHER PATIENTS! I told Dr Coen to slow down and that my skin looked different on my forehead and itched, my scalp was greasy, my back itched like crazy and also for her notes to know that I have Leishen Sclerous. DR COEN DIDN'T CARE about the LS and replied THERE IS NOTHING ANYONE CAN DO ABOUT THE OTHER THINGS BECAUSE I AM OLD. ( I am 51)

If I could give a 0, I would. I went to this office as a scared women with a history of severe…read moreatypical moles and was told I needed two biopsied while I was there. With my eyes closed shut, Dr Cohen removed both moles and sent them for a biopsy. Even though I followed every direction on how to clean my biopsy sites, it was two days later I started to have severe pain on my abdomen (one of my excision sites). I was unable to bend over or have anyone touch anywhere near my stomach. The next day (day 3 post exc), while the wound was covered, I noticed a three inch red ring forming and the pain became unbearable. I called their office, which was unavailable nor could I leave a message. I dialed their emergency pager and it was out of service. I was terrified and immediately went to an urgent care office. They cultured my wound but it was very clear to the Dr that it was at least a MRSA infection, if not more. I had a fever, had to miss my next day of work and was given two antibiotics to take and directions to clean and disinfect my whole house, my clothes, my bedding, everything. I called Dr Cohen's office (Family Derm of Havertown) the following business day, told them of my problems and the infection and the only thing I was told is that they would notify the Dr. Not a "how are u feeling" "is there something we can do".. Nothing. I received no phone call in return. I emailed the head office of Family Dermatology, no response. I received a phone call from the urgent care center a few days later that my culture showed MRSA and pseudomonas and if my antibiotics were not working I would need to go to the hospital. Another few days passed and I received a phone call from the dermatology office and they read my results and asked me when I wanted to schedule my next appointment. The woman on the phone had no idea who I was, what I called to complain about a few days prior. UNBELIEVABLE!!! I am in shock of how little this office and Dr Cohen could care about what happened to me, even sent me a bill for the little amount my insurance did not pay. I will never go to another Family Dermatology office again and if I could help it, I would stop everyone from going to Dr Cohen.

I seriously don't know how I haven't written this review…read more First, some back story. In 2011 my dad was diagnosed with a rare, aggressive skin cancer. About 3,000 people worldwide are diagnosed with this every year. Anyhow we're fortunate to be in Philly where there is world class medicine, and he's a retired Union telephone worker which meant his health insurance was good. What does this have to do with Dr. Turner? Good question. Many of the doctors who took care of my dad were very specialized. When I asked if they'd look at a spot on my skin, they said no, because they don't see routine skin issues. Instead, his team sent me to Dr. Turner. I've been seeing her ever since. Her office is on the ground floor of a professional building near Bryn Mawr Hospital. Easy to get to and plenty of parking in their rear lot, which is also the building main entrance. Her office is clean and bright, her staff friendly and she's very easy to talk to, especially when I'm always secretly terrified I'll also get a rare cancer like dad (not hereditary). I would recommend her for medical dermatology in a heartbeat. I don't use any cosmetic skin care so I can't peak to that.

I go here regularly for skin checks. The staff are always really pleasant. The waiting room is like…read moreany other waiting room I guess. Rooms have always been clean. But I feel like the service I get is pretty nice quality. They know their stuff really well and take the time to educate you.
