This is usually a hit or miss location. Mostly misses. It's Sub par compared to other KFCs. Ordered a 16 piece bucket over weekend and most of chicken seemed overcooked and dry. The crust was darker in color instead of golden like maybe they're not changing the cooking oil enough or chicken was left over from day before. Little disappointing considering they charge a premium for a bucket. Also, the pieces seemed smaller than usual. Service was friendly and prompt, no issues with that. Yes, I will buy more KFC chicken. Our online purchase (for pickup) consisted of a 16 piece bucket (traditional KFC) and a free (!) 8 piece chicken tender box. Free because we signed up for a KFC account. The workers at this KFC in Woodcrest, CA, prepared the order. The consensus of us 8 customers was that the chicken was tasty and delicious. Some finer points: 1 member stated the chicken tenders were a bit tough...and that the traditional seasoning was a bit salty. Overall, flavorful and a great main course. The service was straightfoward...the online order predicted that the order would be ready at 4:30 PM. It was ready at 4:41 PM. The KFC was brightly lit and 95% clean. I order 3 wings on Sat 3/29/25 they were too salty, which I posted my complaint on 3/30/25 that appears to be missing?? It only shows my complaint from 2023. Anyway, they replaced my 3 wings yesterday, with 3 wings that were not too salty, but too greasy as usual. The worst service ever I try to order the specials they had listed on their website and they kept telling me they were online only and when I asked to speak to the manager or owner they said they only speak Spanish and asked me to drive up to the window. When I went up to the window I said okay give me the special you have on your sign and he said that's only legs and thighs. Kentucky Fried Chicken. Has anyone not tried KFC at least once in their lifetime? I would bet that a majority of American people already have. It is my understanding that KFC is also available in several other nations. For me KFC has been good. Occasionally there were mishaps along the way but overall, good. Their fresh baked biscuits are hard to resist. Their chicken is available in several different varieties such as original recipe or extra crispy as well as baked. I've also tried their chicken tenders. All good. A variety of side dishes are also always available at all the locations. I was personally fond of their baked beans but for whatever reason it was removed from the menu. This particular location in Woodcrest off of Van Buren Boulevard has been open for many years and I believe within the past ten has been under new ownership and or management. Please fact check me on that. Regardless, KFC in itself have been around for a very long time. Families love to get buckets of these secret herbs and spiced up birds for holidays, special occasions, while entertaining guests or just because. I am so sad that this is the location nearest to my house. I come here for the amazing Nashville hot Mac and cheese bowls, definitely always aware that something will be wrong. I give two stars because they cook the bowls right. So, there is always an issue here and it can never be an easy experience. Once the group of kids working there laughed at me out loud for not wanting gravy on something (I know I'm awful). That's not so bad, but screwed up orders most of the time? Today I got a sweet tea but asked for unsweetened. I've gotten things that did end up having the gravy. A regular mountain dew when a sweet lightning is requested. Something really is just always up here and management needs to maybe spend a bit more time present. Now I know why I go to KFC once a year. To remind myself how crappy it is. Decided to try the spicy chicken sandwich. I heard it had good ratings and therefore was a good sandwich. The first taste I got when biting into it was of old nasty grease. I couldn't believe it, nasty. No flavor and it wasn't even spicy at all, meat was thin and mostly breading. I ordered my food 2 days in advance online for a picnic. I tried calling in the morning on the day of the pickup but no one answered. I tried calling 5 times that morning. When i arrived to pick up my order it wasnt ready. According to the manager my order had been cancelled and their phone has not worked for over 2 months. My wife and I really like the pot pies and had purchased these in the past. They've always been delicious as they were this last time. However my wife and I experienced a stomach ache shortly after eating the pot pies. That was only the beginning as I got really sick with an upset stomach. Pepto didn't provide relief. I almost went to the emergency room at 2am. When we went we walked inside as there was a long line in the drive through. My kids and wife had chicken tenders which weren't that bad, but they are really stingy when it comes to sauces, they asked if I wanted sauce and I said, yes , honey mustard please. I called the store to see if they would make it right and they said I could come in and pick it up which is fine but uh... I haven't been to KFC in a while. I used to go to another location, which was terrible, so I just stopped going and forgot that this location was here close to home. I decided to try it a few months ago and everything was delicious. I've come here a few more times since and every time it's been really good. It doesn't ever seem to be busy there so I've always gotten my orders pretty fast. The employees are friendly too. The outside looks pretty run down, which is probably why I never paid much attention to it, but it looks like the inside has been recently renovated and is nice and clean. I wish I could give this store a "negative star" review. I live locally and had many bad experiences with this store. Since my children attends the school nearby, we would order from this location. I was happy that the store had new ownership, but the service is still bad. Try ordering "grilled" and you have to wait 15 to 20 mins. Tonight I decided to give this store another chance....that was my first mistake. I ordered "drive thru." I had a coupon, they informed me to drive to the front. My coupon was a 10 piece family meal, nothing different or hard. When I told them I wanted "grilled" the employee told me they were out. "Not to my surprise!" I informed him that I would wait. Expecting the usual 15 mins answer, they tell me "20" minutes and then "30" minutes! Talking about not wanting to make anymore items. This was at 7pm and not 30 minutes before closing. After I waited over 35 minutes, I pick up my order and to my surprise....I get 10 "extra crispy" chicken!!!!?!?!? All they can say is that they made a mistake?!?!? The assistant supervisor or manager Queta already knows what I order and I always tell them how bad they mess up. The look In her eyes "we messed up again." I told them to give me a refund. Queta gives my refund back all in $1 dollar bills!!!! Even though I paid with a card!!! This is my last time coming to this location. I'm sooooo happy "wing stop" is across the street. By far the worst customer service in any KFC that I've been to. It's the only one in my area so I go here maybe once a year and am reminded of why I rarely come here. The lady taking my order was like a zombie and practically mumbled when she spoke to me. Needless to say she got my order wrong. While I was getting my drink, some guy from the back just tossed my order on the counter and walked away and never asked what kind of dipping sauces I'd like. This KFC is one of the best locations out there and the customer service is beyond amazing. I always have a pleasant time when i go in and both Iris and Isabel are very friendly. The staff is great and so is the food! I don't know what some people are taking about on here about rude employees because I've never once experienced that. Iris is one of the nicest people there and the owner is always there which is very good. Maybe if customers learned how to be nice they wouldn't have such a terrible experience, especially since these are teenagers some of you try to fight with. read more
