Nice to hear employees working happily. Food was perfection! Chicken was hot and DELICIOUS, biscuit warm and buttery, cole slaw fresh. They put everything on my tray so I didn't have to ask for butter, honey, etc. I complimented the crew as I left. I have to say, that was a perfect lunch experience. I'll be back. read more

Our experience was quite different from other reviews. Extra crispy got wiped out from LARGE order in front of us, so we said we'd wait. Store is very clean, Christine VERY helpful and apologetic about our wait. She brought us lemon cakes ( on the house because of the wait); food was EXTREMELY fresh, hot, and delicious. My most recent visit Friday May 5 2023. Staff was very friendly. Service was great. Ordered a classic KFC Chicken Sandwich for the first time. I was super impressed I generally purchase chicken sandwiches from Popeyes, I found that the KFC Chicken was Breaded and Crispy and seasoned far superior to Popeyes. I have tried most of the other to go restaurants chicken sandwiches but none compare to this one. I also deliver food on the APS and of all the other Restaurants I pickup orders from in the last year, I have never found items missing from customers orders nor have there been food item's reported missing by customers. A very positive experience picking up food here as a delivery drivers orders are always ready on time for pickup or ready within 5 minutes if order is still being prepared. I highly recommend this location I have read the reviews from 2,3and 4 years ago and looks like this KFC has corrected the problems that led to poor reviews. As a 5 star rated delivery driver on multiple APS I see all of the restaurants locally in Prescott and this KFC I highly recommend. read more

It's a KFC. They do what they do. What is there to say? Well, in my recent visit the place appeared appeared a real mess, and half the tables had their chairs put on top of the tables like they were about to close, yet it was only 5PM. ...hmmm... A quick check at the Health Dept website revealed that their last regular inspection garnered violations which included "3-501.16 (A)(2), (B) / POTENTIALLY HAZARDOUS FOOD, COLD HOLDING. Priority Item" The violations required an immediate fix and a follow-up inspection for compliance It should be noted that a couple years back they received The Golden Plate Award from the Yavapai County Health Dept. for high standards in food handling and safety. They still display that award right by the cash register. read more

Went to KFC last night for the first time in a couple of years. It cost me $21 and change for 8 pieces of pigeon with two sides and 4 biscuits, wait you say they don't serve pigeon well I didn't think so either but when I looked at the size of the pieces I knew it must be pigeon for what they charge I was pissed you can get 8 pieces for a lot less at any grocery store and the pieces are twice the size gave KFC another chance and they failed! read more

I am still a little traumatized by my visit to this place, several days later. Normally I enjoy a little KFC a couple times a year but I think visiting this store has cured me forever. I love KFC. I even joined the Colonel's Club to receive coupons. I received my 1st coupon and was ready to use it. Unfortunately I work near the one in Prescott. I presented them with a coupon from The Club for $2.99 2 PC Deal which included 2pc chicken, biscuit, and medium drink. They searched through their list of coupons on the computer but couldn't find it. They simply explained that they are not corporate owned and therefore don't honor corporate coupons. They didn't even offer an alternate deal or solution. Needless to say, I was disappointed. Since I entered their establishment to use a coupon, a form of marketing, I didn't stay. That would be bait and switch. So if you have a coupon for KFC and don't know if it's a corporate coupon, don't go to this store. They may not be able to accommodate you. read more

Omg, we spent nearly $30 for a bucket of original and a qt. of cole slaw. My wife tried to talk me out of it but I wanted some original receipe, and she was right. The chicken was awful, it even smelled funky. The cole slaw was normal. I grew up on KFC in Yuma, and it was good back in the day when Smitty ran the Yuma store. This food was so bad we hardly ate the chicken. I ate the slaw. For me being retired $30 is a lot. I'll never go back to this or any KFC ever, I'm done! Heck, you can use your Fry's card and get 8 pcs of fried, baked, or bbq there for $6.99 and sometimes $5.99. I am being kind to only give them a one. Went there last night and ordered twelve strips, two sides and four rolls in the drive through. I should have known when I drove up to the window my order was ready. Paid for it and took it home. All of the chicken over cooked and tough. No butter or honey for the rolls and no napkins. After trying to eat a few pieces ended up throwing the rest away. Only the coleslaw was good. Lacey who gave me the order should have known that this chicken had been sitting there for some time. Second time here and probably one of the worst KFC/Long John Silver's I have ever been to. Ordered items from both restaurnats. All of the chicken and fish tasted old, as well as the fries and mashed potatoes. Their ketchup dispenser was practically empty, with only a watery tomato paste coming out. Their drinks from the fountain tasted a little off. I wanted to give this place a chance, since I am a fan of both restaurants. However, I've already been dissapointed twice. I went to Prescott KFC tonight and I should have known something was up when it took so long for someone to take my order at the drive through. They sure took my money fast but they asked me to pull forward because it would be 3 minutes for fresh chicken. No problem, I pull forward, clean out my car, return texts, check Facebook and 15 minutes go by. Meanwhile, 2 other cars that were behind me get their food and pull out. I go inside to find out what is going on. I wish I had gone inside to order because I never would have ordered from there, the place was filthy! Food and trash all over the floor of the kitchen. They kept telling me sorry, sorry you are next. I could tell people at the counter were very irritated and one told me good luck getting your food. I waited while the three workers who acted like the Three Stooges kept asking people what they ordered, tripped over each other, dropped food on the floor, and still never got one single order out. Another woman brought her takeout order in because it was missing items and the worker proceeded to drop that on the floor. I finally just said, give me my food and they young worker told me to calm down and stop yelling at him. Believe me, he would know if I was actually yelling at him. He put half of my order in a bag and handed it to me and I asked for the other half, he told me there are no biscuits ready. I said just give it to me without biscuits. Again he told me to calm down and stop yelling. Finally another lady next to me really did start yelling since she had been in there for a while too. I said as I left, I need to inform corporate about the filthy conditions and poor service. The young worker named Donovan said, yeah call them go ahead! Wow! We very rarely grab fast food, but I will never go there again! FYI the fresh chicken I waited almost 30 minutes for was cold, the mashed potatoes had no gravy and the Cole slaw was warm. Delicious. We love the $5 box. For the money, we seem to get the best deal. We love the chicken strip meal. Comes with a side, a biscuit, a cookie and a drink. They are generous with the dipping sauces and the cashiers always politely explain the menu to you. Great value and customer service. read more

This place is now being run by folks that have some kind of an drug problem, place is dirty, totally forgot that I had ordered outside and was waiting curbside. This has to be the worst experience I have ever had with a kfc / LJS my wife's food was old and nasty took it back to the counter to get it replaced and the replacement food was just as bad if not worse then the original. Came during lunch rush, so tables weren't spotless. Service was fast, food was fresh. Out of our 4 meals, there was only one mistake. They gave my son cole slaw when he ordered mac and cheese. We used to really like KFC but have not been in about a year. Finally just had to have some. About a month ago I had the chicken fingers...dry, dry, dry. So dry when I got home I discarded them. So figured just a bad experience. Last Monday I decided to try again...lunch time. Ordered a drumstick and thigh to go...live 5 minutes away. Again, dry, dry, dry. I went to KFC last week after not having visited for many months. I went inside rather than the drive up as I usually do. I ordered a regular item, not a special order or anything: 2 pieces of dark meat. It turns out that they were completely out of thighs and had to cook them up. I was forced to wait for 20 minutes. I went to sit down and saw that the floor under my table was dirty with trash, etc. I then looked around and saw that the whole seating section was that way. Only after I set my things down on the table did I realize that it was completely sticky with honey. It got all over my belongings. I had to wait in line to ask that my table be cleaned and asked for something to wipe my hands with. I should have just gone into the bathroom to do it and got something myself to clean with. Finally a girl came out to wipe the table. After she walked away, I saw that she had not even cleaned it completely. I had to go back and ask again. After all that, someone told the employees to go out and clean the dining area. Two girls proceeded to do that, but they should not have had to be told. It should have been done. Clearly, they do not do it because they should keep up, but only if they're forced. This experience was really bad and it certainly has tainted my opinion on whether to go back there or not. The only positive thing I can say is that I was offered a cookie for free. Unfortunately, I do not eat cookies. They gave me one anyway. I did have to ask for and received a free small drink due to the wait. It wasn't much of an incentive for me to revisit. If they had at least comped my meal, it would have made a difference. read more
