Unbelievable horrible service. I keep saying "never again" but after a long period of time I end up giving it another chance hoping for improvement but instead it's worse than my previous visit. How on earth does the franchise keep this place open. I wish there was another KFC in Madera. Last time I was there I ordered inside instead of the drive through. I ordered chicken tenders after about 15 minutes the person who took my order asked me "why are you standing there " I told him that I was waiting for my chicken tenders, he then told me that they were out of chicken tenders so I would have to order something else. This location probably has the WORST staff ever. Came in to get some food to go, and I guess some dude who used to work there decided to stop by. I usually don't mind these type of things, but when the workers who are supposed to be serving me but instead decide to have some social time with this fcking guy, by saying, " COME HERE NI##A!!!, WASSS UPPPP NI##A?!, WE GON' DRANK ALL NIGHT NIIIII#AAAAA" for a couple fcking minutes, instead of acknowledging me and asking what I would like to order, it just baffles and irritates the hell out of me. Even when I was their age working at fast food joints in high school, I knew when to give a customer some respect and attention, when I ever had friends visit me at work. It did not look like anybody was taking charge as well...straight anarchy mode here. And by reading the previous reviews, it seems like nothing has changed. I was really close to leaving and just going to Wingstop, but my craving for their chicken was too much. And on the plus side, they did bring out my order fairly quick and it was correct as well. I love kfc but this location...has a lot of problems. They are constantly out of product. On any given day at least two of the things I try to order they are out of. Also the chicken is so inconsistent which I don't get, don't they have cooking instructions that they follow? How can it be dry as a bone one visit and then the next visit pink in the middle? Don't do the drive through, you won't be able to understand the person taking your order and you will wait forever. Park and go in. I have been going to this location for over seven years now and have gone inside to order maybe three times, the rest of my trips are always using the drive thru. Over the years my experience has been pretty good. I know when I come here it's fast food so I'm not expecting my food to come out like the pictures. There has been some not so professional employees, but nothing has affected my experience other than wait times. On a few occasions for waiting long I was given a free soda so that was nice. Food is ok, the chicken is everything you would expect from a KFC which is pretty good. Favorites would be the fries, mashed potato bowl, chicken and coleslaw. The biscuits when fresh are good with honey and butter. Favorite sauces here would be the bbq sauce and the Nashville hot sauce. The chicken littles have a decent size piece of chicken if you want a small meal. This location was remodeled recently.. read more

Really annoyed with KFC right now! They were out of half of the things I ordered and then as a sub for mac n cheese (which I paid for but they were out of) they gave me a giant container of mashed potatoes with some watery gravy! So unappetizing... Trying to make it through the work week and needed KFC to come through for the win but instead it was an EPIC FAIL! Don't waste your money at this place. Came to eat inside at 8:50 but they were closed. Drove thru the drive thru and ordered a pot pie with chicken. She told us the pot pie would take 20 minutes, when we asked for hot wings instead she advised they would take 12 minutes. New years eve, I fancied a KFC... not had one in over five years. I ordered the big box and a side of wedges. The mash potato and gravy was for my husband he also ordered an extra large mash potatoes and gravy. Wedges were for me. Cost around $14.00 Oh my god, what have they done to the chicken coating? Tastes nothing like the coating they used to have, all I could taste was the pepper. Other than this, it could have been any old fried chicken, no differentiation what so ever. The wedges, should have been crispy on the outside and soft in the middle right? These wedges were skinny and over cooked. I almost broke a tooth biting into one, no exaggeration. It wasn't just the odd one or two... all of them, hard, stiff and inedible. To add insult to injury, they forgot to add my coleslaw. Mash potatoes, how can you go wrong with mash potatoes? Was so watery it could almost be soup. Oh KFC, what have you done.... I doubt you will be in business much longer. The quality of your food is appalling and not cheap either, I hope for your sake the Madera location is not indicative of the rest of your stores and that it was only a bad experience in Madera CA. read more

My family and I ate our meal without the sides and after presenting this concern KFC management & owner regarding this matter they Suggested that my concern could not be valid because they sold many meals throughout the day without any other complaints. Employees and management don't really seem to know what they are doing. On my last visit The employee working the drive-through window did not even talk to me she just took my credit card, charged me, gave me my order and then walked away from the window she did not even give me a chance to ask for plates and napkins. After I found out that the shift leader packed my order completely wrong forgetting to pack another large mashed potato my biscuits were completely crushed so I just had a box full of breadcrumbs and I also ordered a large potato wedge and the box was under filled. And for the chicken I was supposed to have received eight pieces of chicken both dark and white meat and what I received was eight pieces of just dark meat and the chicken was extremely greasy to the point where the breading was even falling off. read more

I came today to pick up a complete dinner for my family. My dad being placed in a rehab home as my mom can't take care of him any more. Nothing says family like a KFC dinner outside with everyone there. Not only was the chicken good but they made sure I had everything I needed. It's been a few years since we had been there due to bad experiences in the past. Glad we tried it again, they changed our minds. The employees were very friendly, they seemed like they were enjoying their jobs which is always nice to see, no one wants to see people with cruddy attitudes at the counter. The order was correct which was a concern but everything was as ordered. Overall we had a really good experience. We have lived in Madera just over 2 years & never come here we had family come from out of town & so we tried it worst ever I should of read the reviews over first, we got there about 530 not to late drive thru was busy so was inside but everybody was taking it to go there was only 4 of use we ordered the 12 piece meal with all the sides & 4 SMALL drinks the cashier only charged us for 2 & it all came out to $56 dollars at first we we're like ok the meal we ordered didn't really have a special price so when we sat down the girl OVER CHARGED US she added on 2 extra meals ok girl we we're only 4 people & we said for here, then she refunded us & said that I SAID 2 extra meals ugh no, then she gives us no plates no silver wear how are we suppose to eat with are hands like animals. While we were eating almost every other person who came in was from the drive thru & their orders were wrong & they complained about no plates or silver wear too the manager was there helping but Jeeze they need way better staff working. read more

The menu board states items incorrectly. It stated that the chicken strips was a combo but when I asked what was in the combo I was told it was just the chicken. Then I was told that if I wanted sides it would be $10.00 more and it would include biscuits. When I got to the window I was told that it would be an additional 15 minutes to get biscuits. How could you be out of biscuits on Sunday before noon? I was handed the bag and even though the employee could see it was too heavy for me and I almost dropped my food she just let it go. I just had surgery and my stomach muscles are weak, since I was holding the bag from falling I bruised my side on my door. Before I could asked her to help me she closed the window and walked away leaving holding on for dear life which is when I hurt myself by twisting to get my other hand to pick up the bag. After being in pain and spending $34.00 worth of food I could not eat it due to my pain. The worse kfc ever...I went there three times in the last six months and they got my order wrong all three times. On my last and final trip, I ordered all white meat and when I got it home, it was all dark. I bagged it all back up and went back through the drive thru and got my money back.
