I really enjoy KFC's food, but this location leaves a lot be desired. I frequent this location a few times a year for lunch. My last trip was uneventful, but there have been times when they were completed out of grilled chicken at noon. How does that happen? On a other occasion, they asked me to pull ahead at the drive through and park while they serviced other customers. They said the items I ordered were not ready, again at noon. They forgot I was waiting a nobody ever came out with my food. After about 10 minutes I walked up to the window and they had no recollection of me placing an order and paying for my food. I wouldn't normally bother to review or even check a review for a KFC. However, this one is the worst and I see I'm not the only one with a similar experience. I normally go to Popeye's when I want fried chicken but this location is close. The service was awful. The young lady at the drive-up window was very rude. Both ladies I encountered acted like I was really bothering them by asking them to do their jobs. Teenager taken advantage of - cashier would not sell my son the 40 pieces of chicken only he asked for without selling him full meals. Easter so you have to buy meals. Instead of walking out my son decided to buy the meals. We ended up with four 16 piece meals. When I called and talked to the manager the story changed. I wish I could give it zero stars! Not only the worst KFC I have ever visited, but the worst fast food restaurant of any kind. I went through the drive thru and ordered 2 legs and 1 breast and a pot pie. Got to the window and paid but wasn't given a receipt. I was handed the chicken and I looked in the box to be sure I got what I ordered. I received 2 wings and a breast ... wrong as usual and I handed it back! Then I was able to see the employee pick up my pot pie from the warmer because it is in plain sight from the drive thru window. I don't think he ever used the tongs before because he was bending the pie tin and eventually dropped it landing top down onto another tray. He calls another employee and together they flip it over, put it in a box and are ready to hand it to me. I told them I didn't want the one that flipped over and besides part of the top crust broke off. He tried to convince me that only a small piece was missing and that the top of every pot pie always touches part of a tray. Seriously? Every pie top touches the tray? Am I stupid enough to believe that? Once again I refused it and 3 of the guys were laughing because I asked for a pie that didn't flip over. One was supposedly the manager. He finally got me another pie and the tray once again was bent. I almost thought it was the same one, but the crust around the edge was all there this time. To add to that, the place looked filthy and the drive thru window probably hasn't been cleaned in months. My suggestion is to shut this place down, fire most everyone working there, do a massive cleanup and bring in a new manager and staff who know how to operate a fast fool restaurant. Stopped by here about 6:30 PM on a Tuesday night and ordered six piece original recipe chicken, all dark meat. I found the legs and thighs were shriveled up and looked miniature size. The skin was dried up. The chicken inside of the pieces were was moist but not close to being as moist as usual. This chicken was dried out and either overcooked or sitting in the warmer for hours. I have always liked KFC, but after yesterday I may never go back. My family does not eat fried white meat chicken as it has been a tendency to be too dry. So I went into this Hoffman Estates location and ordered a 12 piece meal extra crispy with dark meat. The girl went in back and then came back and said we can't do that. NO explnation why not. I have always been able to order dark meat only. As I was coming off a 12 hour shift at work, I just wanted to go home so I said fine. I got home and found 5 breasts, 4 wings 1 leg and 2 thighs. Not even close to what I wanted. The pieces were huge and so dry we almost choked. I think they had to over fry to get them done. On top of that we only got 3 biscuits for a 12 piece dinner, and none of the honey I asked for. My debit card was charged $32 for food I will be throwing out. I won't be going back. read more

I have had two awful experiences here. The first one was due to a complete communication breakdown at the speaker. It happens but they were not helpful in the least at resolving it. The second one was the nail in the coffin though. My fiancee had ordered the BBQ Chicken Sandwich (which is shredded), and there were several bones in it. If the company cant be troubled to remove bones from a shredded chicken sandwich, then I cannot be troubled to ever go there again. Avoid this location like the plague! read more

I despise this location. Twice now I have gone there between 9:15 and 9:30 to eat in the establishment and the door is locked despite the hours posted indicate open to 10:00 p.m. There are employees inside, the drive thru is open but the restaurant door is locked. My friend gets off work late so we can't go until after 9:00. That's okay that they don't want our business, plenty of other restaurants in the area who abide by their posted hours. read more

Honestly the worst kfc I have ever been to. Service was fine. I ordered an 8 pc original bucket, meal(full chicken, 2 lg sides, 6 biscuits $19.99) and also a 5 dollar fillup bowl( kfc famous bowl, drink, choc chip cookie $5.) I recieved my order and decided to inspect. After reviewing I found many issues. Like only 4 biscuits when they're supposed to be 6. Then after looking at my 8 pc meal i noticed it was not original, but XTRA crispy. Looking further in the bucket i realized there was not an even amount of chicken and they had substituted a leg and replaced it with a wing which is not what us advertised on their menu... Continuing on with the 5 dollar box, there was not a fork to eat the bowl. There was no ice in the soda. And they simply forgot the cookie with the 5$ fillup. I don't even want to give them a single star but their service was UNACCEPTABLE. We were told the wait for popcorn nuggets will be a 4 minute wait and we were waiting for 20 MINUTES. JUST UNACCEPTABLE. And the lady that brought the nuggets, FINALLY, was EXTREMELY rude when we told her that their service was late. Their food is great and affordable. I always get the $5 fillup from KFCs. I ordered one at this location and it was cooked perfectly. The cashier did a great job of asking me if I wanted any sauces. The food came in a timely manner. The layout of the restaurant is bright with windows on almost every wall. The only thing I would change is to have air freshener in the bathroom. read more

So I've been coming to KFC since I've been a kid, I absolutely love it, until today ! I ordered a 3 piece meal, had to pay extra because I don't like thighs. I get my food before I'm done filing my cup Sit down to eat, open the macaroni, which is one of my favorites here- talk about disgusting ! It was crusty and soupy at the same time! Then the potato wedges were all thin as paper and burnt to a crisp ! I take them both back the counter and I ask the to kids if they'd eat the macaroni and they said NO! One came back w the storage container and asked if I wanted what was in it, I said no thanks, they also replaced the wedges w new thick un-burnt ones, so I asked if I could have cole slaw instead of the macaroni and they accommodated me. No problem. The cole slaw was excellent, no complaints ! Now on to the chicken. I got the 3 piece ( which I guess normally comes w 2 thighs and a leg) . So I specifically asked for anything but thighs, I said please give me a leg, wing, and breast. What do you think I got ? Yep, that's right ! I got a leg, breast and thigh, I go back to the cashier and said " did I not specifically ask for anything but a thigh"? He goes ohh he gave you a thigh- blaming it on his co-worker. Hahaha, how funny ! So he replaced it w a breast for me, which I appreciate ! So while I was filing my cup up w Mountain Dew, I noticed when grabbing for the lid that there was multiple lids in the lid storage box that for some reason had soda all over them, so I let the one guy know, he looked at me strange and continued on doing whatever he was doing so I'm all done eating - do you think anybody has gone to clean up the mess where the lids are ? Nope ! It's been roughly about 20 or so minutes between getting all the other issues and me eating, I'm sorry not only is that gross, but it's just being lazy and isn't that what they get paid to do? The dining area's a mess ! While I've been sitting and eating and along w the other 10 or so people that have come and gone, not 1 person has come to the dining area to clean up whatsoever ! Not to mention I haven't even seen a person that resembles a Mgr. Again, I LOVE LOVE LOVE ME SOME KFC, but I'm going to have to rethink if I'll come to this location ever again, there is another one that's on Barrington rd, it's probably just about the same distance for me than this one. As far as friendliness- if you want that go to Colorado ! I swear the people there make you feel Like your right at home, they welcome you in, ask you how are you doing, ask what can I get you ? It's Epic how nice they actually are, I swear to GOD, my daughter and I were there a few months ago, and were SO impressed w the level of friendliness and the great service we received there, the difference was NIGHT & DAY ! Walked in at 9pm this evening (Friday night) and they already had all the food put away and were cleaning up. Since they were supposed to be open till 11pm I was surprised. I asked of they still had food and she said yes, that she'd have to make sure. So we ordered, she repeated everything back, and they completely messed up the order. They had forgot an entire meal. A manager came out and she argued with me, then she said we were not charged for the missing meal and she asked for more money. Ok, fine. I have no problem paying for it, but the girl at the counter messed up then. Not to mention the open bag of garbage that I had to lean over to get my drinks. Completely rude, and gross.
