This location was once a good place for chicken. Today, it was a mess. We walked in to one make inside , I'm assuming a manager. As two employees walked in behind us and he informed them that he'd just sent everyone home. The female who'd walked in went to a register and acted as if it bothered her to take our order. Once that was done, she looked at one person in our group of 3 and asked what was the drink with my order. I answered and she went on to fix all 3 of us the same drink, never asked what they wanted. When mentioned that the other 2 didn't want this drink, her attitude got worst. The manager informed her that they only had original recipe chicken. So that is what we got. It was hot, as was the fries but had no taste. The restaurant also had an odd smell, and that coupled with the lack of flavor, and the bad customer service, made this just entire visit horrible. read more

I was driving back to Houston from New Orleans as I was passing by Gonzalez and traffic was building up. Not wanting to sit in traffic, and enticed by a sign along the freeway that said "KFC Buffet", I decided to stop by here. Walking into the restaurant, I noticed that they didn't offer any buffet! They had the buffet station, just no food. Looking at the restaurant hours, signage on the windows, etc; they didn't mention anything about a buffet either. Maybe I missed it? I decided to stay and dine here anyway. So I waited by the order counter and nobody was there to take orders. I stood there for a little while just waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting. Until one staff came out and stepped out of the restaurant, totally ignoring us. Another person who had been there since the time we walked in shouted at the workers notifying them about customers and someone from the kitchen finally shouted out "I'll be right with you". When he finally came out to take our order, he just stood behind the cash register and stared. Not a word was spoken. Until a "yes?" was uttered. My friend placed his order first: the famous bowl with two biscuits. And as soon as he finished placing his order and before I had a chance to say anything, he said, "that it? And that's when I finally placed my order: number seven with wedges. When the order came out, they still managed to screw it up. They forgot to include the two biscuits that my friend ordered. And this restaurant was EMPTY! We were the only customers at this point (several other customers walked in after the fact). The worst part that when I went to the restroom to wash my hand, the urinal was broken and the soap dispenser didn't even work! So yeah... that. Sorry, KFC. The next time I see a "KFC Buffet" sign along the highway, I'm going to call BS! I'll stick with other fast food restaurants. read more

I wish I could give this store ZERO stars. Went to this location to get the bacon and cheese chicken sandwich to find out it's discontinued even though it's on their menu online and on the actual menu in the drive thru. Instead I ordered a regular chicken sandwich and was asked if I could wait 12 minutes for the sandwich. I thought "we'll Atleast it will be fresh" and agreed. Just to get home to cold and undercooked chicken sandwich. There was barely any breading on the chicken patty and didn't even resemble what was advertised on the photos. Absolutely disgusting! If I could give no stars I would give NO STARS. First time here and service through drive through was absolutely horrible. Waited at the speaker for a bit until having to yell hello to see if they were open the guy replied all mumbled and it sounded like he said " we are frying chicken". I hate writing negative reviews, I really do, but this place is awful. One, the driveway leading into the drive thru needs repairs asap. You can barely drive a car on it without scraping the bottom. Two, I have never been treated as badly as I was at this establishment. I was only partway through my order when the woman told me to pull up for my total, without asking me if there was anything else I needed, which I did, and was having another person relay their order to me from the backseat, something we've done a hundred times. The woman taking our order said it would be a 4 minute wait on the chicken tenders for my friends chicken littles, but she must have got tired of waiting those 4 minutes because when we opened them they were cold as ice and hard as rocks, like they'd been sitting out since the place opened that morning, or god forbid last night. We also ordered meals, which neither of us got our sides for. All in all, bad service, cold food, and not worth tearing your car up over. When I'm on a business trip, I often dine at nice places. That's usually with work colleagues, where food, fun, and fellowship come together nicely. There are other times where each of us just wants to grab a snack and crawl up to our respective rooms. This KFC (especially with their snack cups) provided one such opportunity. My wife gets home and we discover - we were missing several pieces of chicken from our bucket, they forgot our Cole Slaw, no biscuits, and we had ordered cookies for the kids - also missing. Oh well, you win some, you lose some. After eating, my wife calls KFC to simply tell the manager of the mistake. We're not angry - it's no big deal - but I'm a manager myself and would like for any customer not treated correctly to let me know. I assume that any manager would - to correct any issues. However, this manager got defensive immediately, claiming that it was impossible that she had been bagging all day, and if it were really missing why didn't we bring it back.
