I ordered the onion rings and a delicious juicy REAL BEEF, burger for my nephew. I got for myself a fish sandwich and some of those REAL potatoe fries. YES, they cut real potatoes to make their fries!!! To top it all off I had their delicious ice tea. I like to have them mix it with their lemonade which is THE BEST!!! I recently relocated from New Jersey and I heard so many GREAT things about Edena's Kitchen and their great tasting food and signature iced tea, that I am so happy I stopped by to treat my palette to this delicious, downhome, food. The place seemed to be very busy which is a good sign because the locals obviously love Edna's Kitchen also. I give Edna's Kitchen 10 STARS and 3 SNAPS!!!! Do yourself the favor and stop by for some good eatin. You'll be glad you did.

At Least it was Vegan…read more Visited at 1130 and it was busy with take out orders, probably because there are only 3-4 tables with a couple of old chairs to go with them. The food quality is good-the vegetables cooked to perfection and fresh. I got #106 mixed vegetables but with spicy garlic sauce and #108 tofu only with Gen Tao's sauce but not the lunch special. The portions were large indeed. The Gen Tao's sauce was good but the spicy garlic was neither spicy nor tasted like garlic. Both were FULL of oil and the food therefore sat on our tummies like we had eaten a bunch of fried food. Staff friendly and cheerful. Prices were in line for the area. The surroundings were run down. The door to the bathroom was sticky, there were no hand towels which did not seem to bother the staff and their hands did not seem wet from washing and not drying when they left the bathroom. I REALLY wanted to like this place because it was an easy vegan option. But I found the sauce bland and both were too oily.

The manager would call me, never got a call back. I froze the good, the next time I went back to town, I ordered the same thing. When i went in, i told them to leave the box open, so i could see it, my order was correct that day. I tried to take the food, she said i had to pay for it, she was also pulling on the container, but i got it away from her. She said i was stealing, and she was walling the police, over and over again, and each time she did, i told her to call them, she never did. They actually stole from ME, they took my money, and gave me nasty food!! They are the thieves!! There were other folks there, and they were in shock at how that woman acted. When I eventually got to the drive thru window I was informed they were working on one computer (which I was nice enough to understand that is not the employees fault). Upon leaving I noticed I had not received two of my items. I tried calling them and waited 30 minutes before anyone picked up, and when they did they were not located at this location and said they would transfer my call & then I was hung up on. I waited 20 minutes before deciding to call again, due to them hanging up on me, and was able to speak to someone at this location. They were unable to replace my items due to them not being in stock, which I was not informed of when I placed or picked up my order. After about 10 minutes I was able to receive "credits" back, which doesn't include the tax I had to pay. It takes a lot for me to leave reviews but this is completely unacceptable!
