Due to the Coronavirus, we ordered from this location online. We were very happy they delivered. This restaurant is not as close as our usual KFC, that was not delivering. The order was promptly accepted and prepared. The third party that delivered the food was timely, friendly and thorough. We decided to order a few different items, just to try and make our dinner exciting. We had the Crispy Colonel Sandwiches, which were out of this world. Best chicken sandwich ever! I opted out of the pickles and mayonnaise. Absolutely perfect. Super crispy chicken, nice bun and thick chicken fillet. A+++! I also tried the Potato Wedges for the first time. Nicely seasoned and a good change from French fries. Everyone enjoyed their food thoroughly, saying the macaroni and cheese was creamy, the biscuits were hearty, the mashed potatoes and gravy were delightful and the coleslaw was fresh. I always get the famous bowl. Some of the chicken was a little chewy but the gravy and potatoes were really good. The buffalo wings were a little soggy but super spicy. We also tried the spicy famous bowl and it was extremely spicy but good. Chicken sandwich had about one pickle unlike the photo online so we had to add our own from home. read more

The girl wanted the Colonel, so I stopped here on the way home. I parked and headed inside. The line was short and the staff was working on the orders as they came in. The place could definitely use a drive thru for the convenience of it all. Looked at the menu and settled on the 20 dollar bucket. 8 pieces of crispy chicken. Three sides and four biscuits. Had the mash potatoes with gravy, the potato wedges, and coleslaw. The food was ready in a few minutes and I was on my way. The food was what you would expect from a KFC. Nothing was great, everything was good. The staff was friendly and the order was right. I would definitely go back to this location if in the area and wanted some of the Colonel's chicken. read more

Wish the counter person was a bit friendlier and also could count. Very upset I purchased an expensive 12 piece chicken meal and was shorted 2 pieces. I got 10 pieces instead at the very expensive price $38.99. I could've bought the 8 piece at $20.99 especially because the counter girl just threw the original recipe chicken in the bucket. Paid $18.00 more (included a 3rd side) and still got 10 pieces. Food was good but they need to cut down on the salt at this location. I also asked for less salt dietary restriction and was told "that's the way it comes". I've been to other KFC's and it's not as salty. Just saying. Ripped off. Not happy. Please count. UPDATE ALERT! Suffolk County Health Department Thank you for bringing your concerns to the Department's attention. On March 9, 2020 a representative from the Bureau of Public Health Protection conducted an unannounced inspection at KFC in Deer Park. At the time of inspection a food worker at the mop sink area was observed washing her hands and donning gloves prior to starting food service. Another food worker was observed putting on gloves without first washing her hands, but was noted to be using tongs to handle food and her gloves did not make any contact with food/food contact surfaces. No employees appeared to be ill during the inspection and the manager stated no employees had come to work while ill. The manager was advised to discuss proper hand washing and glove use with all food workers, including washing hands prior to glove use. The inspector also reminded the manager that no employee may conduct food service after experiencing signs of illness, until he/she has been symptom free for at least 24 hours. A test of the phone system was also conducted and appears to be operating as designed. KFC use to be one of the best chicken spots around. Who couldn't resist this 11 herbs and spices. Not many around anymore. Went to this spot being it was the closest. So the other day my son who has never had KFC asked to go. And without hesitation I said yes, especially him being a picky eater. But he wanted to try something new. We both got original chicken boxes. Breast and leg, biscuit. He got fires and I got coleslaw, by the way definitely doesn't taste like it use to be. And a extra side of mac and cheese with drinks. We went home and plated the meals and sat and started to eat. The biscuits were so hard you could drive a nail into a plank of wood. The Mac and cheese was slop. I mean gross slop. His soda was watered down and my fruit punch tasted like it had alcohol. His fries were just grease. And he bit his chicken twice and pushed his plate away. I finished my chicken and coleslaw. Needless to say many bathroom visits later and a discouraged son I was very disappointed. Love KFC! The BBQ chicken is excellent! Nashville chicken is the best! And no one makes a better coleslaw. So what's my problem here? I ordered potato wedges, love those potatoes! What I don't love is the server grabbing the wedges with her hand & throwing them in my box of food! Are you kidding me??? Who does that? No one, that's who, except the lady at KFC! This particular KFC was clean, I'll give them that. And the staff was very friendly which is also a plus. The reason I rate it so low is for the actual food. We used a "dine for two" coupon which gave us 6 pieces of chicken (3 thighs, 3 legs), and two individual sides of each mashed potatoes and cole slaw for about $9? We added on a side of mac and cheese as well, total bill came out to about $14 so for $7, I had a decently sized meal. However, the chicken was very greasy. I know it's fast food, and I know it's KFC, but of every KFC I've ever gone to, this was the greasiest chicken I've ever experienced. Also, I was a little upset that they didn't really fill out side cups with mashed potatoes, they were lacking compared to the amount of cole slaw they stuffed in the other cups. I asked for 2 chicken colonel nashville hot sandwiches. The worker charged us for 3. When we told her about it, she gave us 3. We told her in one of them we didn't want pickles or mayo. She completely ignored us. We went to the other worker and he clearly told her about the order. She messed it up again. For dinner, on my cheat day, I had to have a chicken colonel regular sandwich instead of nashville hot. When talking to her, it was clear English was not her first language. I have been at this location with my service dog a few times and have had no problems until today the manager and or employee told me I cannot have my dog in there. I said that she's a service dog she is here to help me and they said she cannot be in here I said well I've been here a few times with no problems she said fine. Do not buy the kids meal at this location. They offer 1 tender, a lot of potato wedges, apple sauce, juice or soda. I have been to other locations that offer 2 tenders, potato wedges, apple sauce, milk or juice. Their customer service is horrible. The lady at the counter was telling me why am I comparing and rude. They didn't even offer to honor my request to get the milk. They need to offer the choice juice or milk. We are living in a society that is enabling obesity. This KFC has best customer service. Last night (9/9/2018--8:30 pm), I stopped by to order 16 chicken wings, but I messed up, end up order 8 piece instead. There were 4 or 5 people behind, the cashier ( her name is Alyssa) was all fed up with taking orders. After knowing that I tried to correct my order, she quickly talked to the manager about updating my order, and change my order right away. Alyssa had done in the most classic and friendly manner.
