Post-Covid I'm developing a love hate relationship with this location... I LOVE that they are now on the mobile app and I can order pick up and take advantage of the online deals. I HATE that if you don't go at prime time you are rolling the dice and might get old dried out chicken left over from when the last batch of chicken was cooked. I get off work at 330 PM. I swear to God the last two times I ordered pick up when I left work the chicken had to be sitting out under a warmer for 2+ hours. I won't do that again. Will I keep going back? Probably. Love the deals and when the chicken is fresh and hot...it's good. But I will say when they piss me off my visits become further and further inbetween. Got home to find that the mac n cheese was dry (looked like it had been sitting around for hours) and the mashed potatoes were super runny...not edible. 2021 pandemic family vacation...Bringing the California strain of COVID 19 to your city. This KFC is serious when it comes to COVID 19. All their doors are locked. No customers allowed in the store. If you want food, you have to use the drive thru. Coming from California, I can't blame them for being scared of a customer like me, even though I'm fully vaccinated. Their chicken is different from all other KFC's that I've been to. Other versions of KFC I've been to in California, Arizona, and other states seem kind of mushy unless I order it extra crispy. But, this locations fried chicken was fried perfectly. Missing were there Colonel's 11 herbs and spices. They might have used 3. It just wasn't as flavorful. I would be a fan of this place if they used just a couple more spices the that Colonel provides. I have no problem with them shutting down and not letting customers in as it reminds me of some restaurants at home. I just wish the chicken was just a little more flavorful. I would've easily given them 4 stars if they used the Colonel's 11 herbs and spices. You should be COVID safe coming here. read more

This place really needs to throw out anything that is 3 hours old. I had the tenders basket. My son and I couldn't swallow it down it was old and hard. The fries you could tell have been sitting there for so long. I would've gotten some better food at McDonald's. I used to work at a KFC and I'm kind of disappointed. They have a sign on their door that says you can go inside and place an order, but the doors are locked and they won't let you. Other KFC's, I can go in and place an order, but if you are walking, you can't; the McDonalds next door will welcome you there, but is t this place does not. They lie to you before you can even place your order. If you have a trailer, you can't use the drive through, so I guess they don't want people to spend money there. They keep the dining area shut so you can't see how dirty this place is and they normally cheat you out of food (This is a regular thing in Iowa)! The food here is worse than any KFC I have ever been to and yet they are still in business because they are near hotels and the highway so they have a never ending supply of new customers to cheat out of their food. Today I heard about KFC's new wings. I ordered the new wings with honey BBQ sauce. In total, I got a drizzle at best. Most of them were plain wings, barely any sauce flavor in most bites. I'd have gotten a lot more plain chicken by just ordering chicken, but I asked for wings with sauce and instead got tiny portions of plain. Then you can't order it "as a combo" so each item is a full priced add-on, which makes the likelihood of ordering these even slimmer. I can get strips, in a meal, then ask for dipping sauce and have WAY more flavor that what I got. I should learn my lesson about sauce at this location. They are SO stingy with it, like it's gold! If I get plain chicken, it's fine. Maybe plan on coming here, ordering plain and then going and buying your own $2 whole bottle of sauce to have on hand so you can actually expect flavor. This place is magical. The fried chicken and the sides here never disappoint. I love getting a bucket here with some sides on a Sunday night for dinner. Yum! So everyone knows this place has fried chicken and don't think twice of it. I used to not consider KFC as a dinner option because fried chicken just sounds so ordinary. But about a year ago I decided to go get a bucket. I was literally in shock at how good the chicken is here. It really is the best fried chicken. The meat is super juicy, the skin is crunchy and salty like I like it, and the sides like Mac and cheese and potato wedges are awesome. Since then I have KFC about once a month. And I love it every single time! I really have nothing to complain about. If you appreciate fried food, then you will love this place. Give it a go, you will like it more than you think. read more

I just don't know what has happened to KFC. I used to love it. I will still go on occasion, perhaps for lunch, but buying this for dinner just doesn't happen any longer. I can't put my finger on what has changed but nobody in the family will want more than two pieces. The rest will just sit in the refrigerator until it's time to toss it out. The sides are okay. Tried to order the Nashville Hot tenders meal and all I got was a drizzle of the sauce on my tenders. Not even close to the fully sauced tenders on the menu. They didn't ask which side or drink I wanted. I ended up with tea and no ice and fries. Can't order inside. I'm staying across the street at the hotel and don't have a car to drive through. Yet they still made me walk through the drive through. They wouldn't acknowledge that I was there. So I had to knock on the window. Finally someone came to take my order. The employees seemed disgruntled for some reason. I wasn't rude and was polite. It's ok to do the right thing during the order process and food preparation. Disappointing. I will not return to this place. We ordered ahead over the phone and were told it would be 20 minutes. I arrived and went inside to pick up and pay for our order. I was totally ignored. I finally asked if I needed to go through the drive up to get my order and no one responded. Their chicken is amazing I enjoy their great food but the floors somehow look really nasty to me cause my OCD kicks in when I go to Kfc their bathroom makes me cringe too but I guess that's what happens when you have a few workers.
