The 2 piece I ordered tasted like it was soaked in green bean juice and it felt slimy. I couldn't even eat it. Never ever has my kfc been this bad. Just about every time I visit this KFC I have an issue either they forgot something, they leave something out, or I get some side I didn't order or want. Well, tonight, our cashier was just rude . If she is having a bad day, it's not my fault. I asked for a receipt, and that really made her mad, so she said the machine that printed the receipt was broken, but it worked for the customer in front of me. read more

Tonight was the last time I came to KFC in Charles Town. We placed an online order to be picked up at 8:50. I showed up to one of the entrances locked so I assumed they were closing, but I was due to pick up an already paid order...so I went through the order speaker to check. I was told to wait in the front and that they'd bring my food out. Everything was fine until I got home to find my order was incomplete. I immediate went back to KFC which is only 5min from our place. I arrived before 930 to be told "I personally packed that order and I counted the pieces." I received 8 pieces and ordered 12, so Idk wth she was paying attention to because it wasn't filling my order right. I was told that they no longer had chicken, this was before 9:30 and closing time is at 10. My complaint is about me paying for something and not receiving my full order, then to show up and be told there's no more chicken when there's still 30 min to closing time. I get it, they were tired and were ready to go home, but you are employees at this establishment and get paid to work here and customers like me come and spend money and expect to get what we pay for. I'm pretty sure KFC is expecting for its doors to be open until 10PM like it says online. This is why Chick-fil-A is so successful. I've been a fan of KFC since little. This specific store is by far the absolute WORST KFC I have ever been in. Since I moved in this area, I've given this place an opportunity 5 separate times and each time just as bad. Today expecting that I would finally get hot/warm fresh food, I saw there was a long line of cars and even some in the dining room. Surprise. Original Chicken that is more crispy that the crispy chicken served. Refried Fries and mashed potatoes that looks like that has been prepped a day before. The Original Chicken they cook on this branch is hands down the worst.... It's not the soft juicy original chicken they have in Normal stores.. it's re cooked and crusty. Don't bother coming here. I ordered a 16 pc chicken meal with 2 extra breasts for a total of 18 pieces of chicken on line. I arrived and picked up my order and went home. When I unpacked my order I only had 12 pieces of chicken not 18. They proceeded to ask what pieces I was was missing so I informed them I was missing one of each piece plus 2 extra breasts. I had to drive back over and pick it up which was only about 5 miles away. Upon arrival they had a bag with my name on it so i took it and went to the car. After getting in the car my wife double checked the box to find it was only the two breasts we where still 4 pieces short. I went back inside for the third time now and someone that I believe to be maybe a shift manager or something finally fixed my order. 4/9/222. Only doing drivethru. No going inside. Not at this one anyways. Mostly every restaurant/FF place you can now. That's strange. Anyhow we asked for our sides to be Mac&Cheese and cole slaw. When we brought our food stuff home and out of the bag, what did we find? Mashed potatoes with gravy and cole slaw. It's even on our receipt (mac&cheese). Reminds me of that Die Hard movie with Leo Getz, about FF drive through. Good thing DH and I don't hate mashed potatoes and gravy, though I think he did have heart set on the Mac & Cheese. read more

It is a surprise this KFC can stay in business. The food the Serv is awful. I order a three piece meal and first of all I was told all they had was crispy dark meat. I ordered a Pot pie in addition. The Pot Pie was ok. The three piece meal was cold and dried out. The mash potatoes were ok the biscuit was dried out. In addition I had to remind the server my meal was supposed to come with a drink. I should have known better then to go to KFC before 9:00 pm closing time I went at 8:00 pm! I do not recommend this store IT IS TERRIBLE!!! read more

My wife went to KFC Charles Town WV around 7 pm on a Monday, May 1st. Ordered 8 chicken strips. Although the price online says 8 chicken strips are $10, they charged her $20 for 8 chicken strips. When questioned, they said, "That's the price". She was far kinder than I would have been and paid the $20 asked. She requested a receipt multiple times and was not given one. Has anybody else had this experience? Are the prices really this high now or is it an employee ripping off customers? I hope it is not a policy of the store. We try to support local businesses in Charles Town as much as possible but I can tell you we are never going back to this place again!!! read more

Standard KFC stuff, but this location seems to be unusually greasy for the original recipe chicken. Biscuits and coleslaw are usually good, although the coleslaw suffers a bit towards closing time; don't order it if its under an hour to close. Staff are reasonably friendly. Overall, if you're craving KFC, this one is ok, but it varies widely according to the time of day. read more

This restaurant gets one star only because the cashier was vary nice. I love KFC when they get things right but this store 620E Washington ST has messed up my order more than three times. The most recent was today. I order a 4pc combo (dark meat extra crispy) with fries and a diet coke what I discovered when I got home was a two piece meal breast and wing (original ) mash potatoes and a regular Pepsi (with sugar) I'm a diabetic so the regular coke I got had to be through away. When I called the store I was told they would be happy to replace the meal just bring it and a receipt proving my order back to the store. I told them to just credit my account for the price difference about $4.00, I wasn't about to drive all the way back to the store and since I could read the details to them off my receipt they could have verified the information over the phone. I was told they would only replace the chicken. and I have to drive back. WHEN WILL I EVER LEARN? THIS KFC IS AWFUL! I WILL NOT BE RETURNING. Fortunate there are options now in Charles Town and I suspect KFC will either clean up their act or go out of business! Stopped by the other night. It was ten minutes until 10pm when I pulled into the drive-thru. After sitting there for a couple minutes, a worker called out through the speaker saying: "Do you want something?" When I said I'd like to order, he responded with: "We're closed." I told him the web site stated 11pm as the close time. He answered with: "I don't care what it says. We close at 10pm and you can get food somewhere else." I drove to the window, but no-one would come to talk to me and the doors to the building were locked so I was unable to talk to anyone. I called the 800 number and reported this incident. We went by a couple days later to grab lunch on our way to work. After a long and drawn out order, which was a very simple order that turned complicated by the rude person at the window, we pulled up to the window and pretty much had our food tossed out the window at us. Went to eat the food, and both things we ordered was wrong, they gave us no utensils to eat with, and the food was cold. Stopped by again yesterday to order. Ordered the first item and was told to pull to the window for my total. When I told them I had more to order, I heard a disgusted huff and then another person took the rest of my order. Three simple things I ordered turned into an almost 5 minute conversation because they couldn't understand what I wanted. After getting that resolved, they repeated my order to me. I told them it was correct and pulled to the window. The person read it off again, which was suddenly wrong from the drive -thru speaker to the window (with no other vehicles in line before or behind me). After correcting them, I once again had my drinks and food almost thrown in to my car window. I have tried patiently time and time again to give this place a fighting chance. Growing up, I always went here with my grandparents, so I thought it would cool to continue that tradition. However, now that it is run by a bunch of nasty & incompetent people, I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

This is by far the worst KFC as far as service. I waited 30 minutes in the drive thru for an order of fries with only three cars ahead of me. Once I pulled up to the order window it took another 10 minutes just to take the order. Neither employee looked in a rush or apologized for the unreasonable wait. read more

The food at this KFC use to be better but the food I got was like leftover scraps. Several times I've been here my order has taken FOREVER and they always have me pull forward in my car to wait. If they can't handle a 1 person order than they definitely need new staff or something, this is NOT FAST food. read more

I have gone here many times and love it. The service is quick and the people are very friendly. The only time I've had to really wait was if I had asked for special instructions regarding my food order, and that is rare if I do that here. I have only done drive thru once and that has never been a problem either. I love going here and plan on doing so in the future. read more

I would rate the food... But we have only Been there once when food Was available... Otherwise every time we have attempted eating here they have been out of everything and not very helpful. There seems to be a very lazy manager as well as lazy employees working here. I ate dinner on 05/25/2019 at the Restaurant #K071116 620 E Washington Street, Charles Town WV. After ordering realized how dirty the dining area was. The table and chairs looked as though they have never seen a cleaning. The floor was beyond fifthly. I don't believe it had seen a mop in months. The staff lounged on the counter top as if all of their duties were complete. I was extremely uneasy about eating the food that I ordered. Luckily I did not get sick. I don't think I have ever eaten at a more dirtier place in my 50 plus years. I really am surprised the WV health department has not shut the restaurant down. It certainly is a bad representation of KFC and should be reprimanded. read more

The Charles Town KFC is the nearest to my home, and we really like KFC - it is a common dinner when we have been too busy to cook. We get takeout from here, fairly regularly. Yesterday, for the second time in less than a year, I've gone in, ordered a large bucket of original recipe chicken, only to get home and find that it was actually "chewy" - I suspect that when they cook too much, they don't dispose of it when it doesn't sell, but just let it sit there, being kept warm and drying out. If I wanted chewy, I'd buy some bubble gum. This was a waste of almost $30, again. As much as my family likes KFC, I am going to have to seriously reconsider whether we will ever go here, again. When fresh, KFC is great - when not, it is close to inedible. To the franchise owner - please establish some reasonable policies - either have them cook less, more often, or own up to their mistakes and trash them, rather than selling them to your customers! This place is HORRIBLE! Zero customer service! I went inside to place my order and waited nearly 35 mins without still even being acknowledged. After waiting so long, I went up to ask the cashier what was taking so long and their response was that they had run out of mac and cheese....well, don't you think you could have told me so I was aware that was what the hold up was and I would have HAPPILY changed my order. After changing my side to something else I was then told they just ran our of tea and it would be a few more mins before that would be ready because they had to brew it...NO! Oh and not to mention the attitudes you get for THEIR mistakes! Manager was also horrible and even made the comment t to me that her staff "just does not listen and she doesn't know what to do with them." I went to KFC one day to get some food. It was not the cleanest and people were cleaning as we were eating. I was the only person there along with my friend. And a lot of the chairs were out of their places and the atmosphere was just dead. No music playing or anything, just bright white lights and it felt like prison. We ordered a chocolate cake and it was good. Service was nice but the location/ building itself isn't all that great. read more
