More modern and standard compared to their old location downtown. Service: I talked to two different staff. One when I ordered, and one after I finished my food and was about to leave. Neither could tell me the difference between their first three burgers on the menu. I was told to "look at the pictures". Menu & Food: The new menu gives names to their burgers, but doesn't say what is in them. I only learned what was in the burgers when I went to the DQ website when I was home a couple of days later. The burger patties are now thinner, which explains why there are now triple burgers. The triple burgers probably have the same meat as DQ's previous double burgers. The burger patties are not cooked the same as before, and do not taste as good as before. They used to have a grill taste, but not anymore. Price: The prices are much higher for the same type of thing as before. Last autumn (the last time I ate at a DQ), my meal (burger, fries, drink), was a total of $11.74. This time it was $16.79 for the comparable meal. DQ used to be my first choice for burgers. Not anymore. As for this location, I can't ignore the lack of knowledge of the staff for what they are serving.

There's a long list of reasons why Ralph's Fried Chicken is hands down the best fried chicken I've…read moreever had. First of all--the name. My dad's name is Ralph, so I already had a soft spot. But the moment you walk in and see the slogan, "Crispy on the outside, happiness on the inside!", you know you're in for something special. Clever--and absolutely true. The staff is exceptionally warm and hospitable, making you feel genuinely welcome, and the restaurant itself is spotless. Now for the food... every order is made fresh and brought to you by hand. The chicken is perfectly crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside, with generously sized pieces that are cooked to perfection. And then there are the taters--next level. Skin-on, so you know they're fresh, perfectly seasoned, and somehow creamy and buttery inside, like mashed potatoes in disguise. The gravy is the ideal companion for both the chicken and the taters: rich, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. Last but definitely not least, the coleslaw is spot-on--creamy yet crunchy, with a great balance of flavor. If I could give Ralph's Fried Chicken six stars, I would. Don't walk--run to Ralph's Fried Chicken

The chicken is packed with taste, and the crunch is unbeatable. It comes with 'spuds,' which are essentially fries but with a unique twist. Service? Friendly and efficient--no complaints there. It took us a while to get seated and menus. However, once we got a server (she was brand new) she was friendly, helpful and efficient. We each got a Caesar, which came from the casino bar. Probably one of the WORST Caesar's I have ever had. Watered down (was there any alcohol in there)? And no spice or flavour. Do yourself a flavour and skip the bar drinks unless you are getting a beer. I decided on the Cajun salmon with wild rice and the Brussel spouts. My husband got the chicken Corden blue with fries. Took awhile for the food to come out (which was odd, we were one of two couples in the entire place). First came out complementary warm pretzels. They were delicious and came with a nice mustard dip. Nice change from the usual bread basket you get at restaurants. I have to say the food was in general, really good. My husband found the tomato sauce on the chicken a little odd tasting (I have to agree) but the portion was really large and the chicken was cooked correctly. Perhaps not flattened enough and the filling inside was a little skimpy but still good. My salmon was excellent. It was perfectly cooked and a lovely Cajun seasoning on it. The rice was decent, and the Brussel sprouts were AMAZING. If I come here again I will order a double portion. Tender, sautéed in butter with some walnuts and raisins. So lovely. And lucky for me, hubby's came with it as well and I got his portion as well. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here, but food was good.

We also both took advantage of the free Wednesday wings for hotel guests: you can have as many free wings as you like with your choice of sauce AND free beer! Can't say no to that! The service needs some work. The hostess walked right past us when we arrived, and we were trying to figure out if we could seat ourselves or if we had to wait to be seated (there was no sign). I made eye contact with her and asked if we could seat ourselves (we had at breakfast) and she said "Hahaha noooooooo... I was just busy for a moment, you can follow me." The other waitresses didn't seem attached to the idea of serving us, and passed us right back to the hostess when it was time for us to pay our bill.
