We were going to have him paint them, but he suggested we get new ones, as they were on sale at Menards at the time, and would be less expensive then to paint. They are beautiful now. Next, he painted our pole barn metal roof. He helped us pick out the right type of paint, got it for us and stuck to the price he quoted, even though he did a lot of prep work that I don't think was figured in the quote. Also put a window in the door and painted it and refurbished the door handle. Then as a little side job, he fixed some siding on the house and also an exhaust fan in our bathroom. But the best thing was he showed up when he said he would and kept us informed every step of the way. Always calling us to keep in touch when he was on his way, or making sure he was coming the next day and what time. We really appreciated that. On top of that, he was just a very friendly nice guy. I thought about doing my transmission myself, but I'm glad I had the pros do it. A lwhile later a bearing failed and it was all covered under the 12 month warranty. They didn't try to weasel out of doing the repair or say the failure wasn't their fault. When I had my trans rebuilt the first time Grant showed me how the friction material was all gone. He also tuned the trans so it would shift firmer and last longer. It's good to find an honest mechanic and business person.
