Attended the NHRA Great Lakes Nationals / unofficial parking lot mud bog competition at US 131…read moreMotorsports Park. Unfortunately, I entered the mud bog portion of the event with my car. The grass parking lot was VERY saturated from all the rain. Nobody's fault. When Mother Nature dumps that much water, there's only so much you can do. So, I abandoned my car where it was stuck (it was out of the way of others) and went into the track. Figured I'd enjoy the racing and deal with my little parking-lot adventure afterward. I figured I was probably looking at a $200-$300 tow bill to get myself out. **My fault. My mistake. My credit card's problem.** Near the end of the racing, there was a bit of a break, so I walked back out to the car to replenish my water. I noticed McDonald's Towing pulling another car out just a short distance from mine. I talked to the driver (unfortunately, I didn't get his name), and he said he'd come over and help me as soon as he finished with the other car. Sure enough, he and his helper came right over. A few minutes later, my car was out of the mud and back on solid ground. Then came the part I wasn't expecting. He said: **"No charge."** **WHAT?!** No charge?! **In 2026?!** I actually had to make sure I heard him correctly. I was fully prepared to hand over a couple hundred bucks for my brilliant decision to park in what had apparently become a recreational mud pit. But nope. Nothing. **McDonald's Towing & Rescue, Inc. is officially #1 in my book!** Great service, great people, and apparently they haven't completely forgotten that sometimes you just help somebody out. **Thank you, guys! I really appreciate it. You definitely made my day, and saved my wallet!**
