It is that time for an update…read more Quality/Quantity - Okay, I rarely come to his mall. Very few stores that I frequent, until now. Thanks to Trader Joes! In the past we only came here for the following: Apple Store, Lululemon (taking a break from this brand now), Starbucks (only when it is on the way). Now we have added the following business to our list: Carhartt, Mt. Rose Wine Co., Reno Running Company, etc. Also, it helps us visit some of our favorite restaurants here - Land Ocean, Skipolinis, and Miyabi. Chipotle just opened, but we are not a customer any more. And a free standing Starbucks is STILL being built. Atmosphere - Huge mall that is rarely busy. Well, they are getting busier and busier again thanks to Trader Joe. Plenty of parking. Convenient location for us, easy in and out from highways. Open 7 days a week from 10am or 11am to 6pm or 7pm. Pet friendly, see the tiny dog park/area. Free wifi, I have not used it. Service - Good. Price - Good, some might say upscale. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2006. We were happy when you built this mall, too bad we have not been big customers until now. Are you under new ownership now?

It's trying to be an upscale "mall," but it's really just three or four strip malls with an odd mix…read moreof shops and a wonky layout of free-standing businesses. There are a few upper middle market shops like Apple, Kendra Scott, and Tabot's. But then you have Five Below and Dillard's. It's like, do they want to be fauncy or low-brow? This mall isn't even remotely pedestrian-friendly. Large parking lots and narrow sidewalks separate shopping sections which are far apart and not easily walkable if you have a stroller, a walker or are in a wheelchair.

I don't usually write an update so soon, but after today's (3/12/26) amazing event, I just had to!!…read moreI am sure you can tell from my excess photos, we shop here too often... We are very loyal customers. Quality/Quantity - Here for the Wax and Watch event DIG. My first time and what an amazing event. Fundraising for so many nonprofits, see pictures. Also sponsored by Fifty Fifty Brewing Co; I had a few too many beers, too good of a time. I also found out about Fifty's Grand opening at RPM, which we also supported and attended the next day, see other Yelp Review. Non alcoholic drinks were also available. Too lazy to have brought our equipment for the wax. Plus Mt Rose gives us each 4 free waxes that I rarely use up. Raffle - We did NOT win. Atmosphere - Clean and organized location. Love the NV art on the side of the building/in the parking lot. Cool! See pictures. Open 7 days a week from 10am to 7pm and on Sundays from 10am to 6pm. Small parking lot, but because we came in off peak (weird) hours, it is rarely an issue for us. And today we got lucky as the lot was full but a car gave us his space. Service - The team is so welcoming and friendly. This is the #1 reason we are loyal customers. Events available - See website. Again, my first but NOT last time that I will attend an event. We will probably come back Sunday for the Mt Rose Passholder Spring Sale. Price - Expensive, but worth the quality, service, and culture. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 1973. And thank you for also giving 1% to not-for-profit workers "to defend the earth." And having programs that raise awareness of environmental and social issues. My favorite program is Worn Wear. You can either sell Patagonia your used clothes or trade them in so they can fix it. I believe that reusing is better than recycling. Furthermore, they give you credit ranging from $15 to $150.

Sidewalks are in! Banners are hung!…read moreParking is popping up everywhere! People are starting to show up! All that's left is the public sculpture and we've got a brand new Midtown! Sierra Nevada Construction and RTC have made the neighborhood even more vibrant with all the updates and additions. I've now walked side by side with two adults from St. Lawrence to Mt. Rose. It was a great stroll made even better by the fact the sidewalks could accommodate us. Prior to the upgrades walking this area was tough, and parking was even tougher. Now the entire area is walkable and parking is pretty available, making the neighborhood a whole lot more accessible to all!

Midtown keeps changing and seems to get better all the time…read more Since the major overhaul of the streets and sidewalks in Midtown during 2020, it's much nicer to walk the area. Parking can be a bit of a challenge if you're not familiar with side streets to use. But for the most part I walk in instead of driving. I enjoy walking to catch the many murals in the area. Often you have to veer off south Virginia Street to see many of them. It's worth it. So many great small locally owned businesses. New clothing boutiques and shops that offer recycled clothing. Many bars that range from fun divvy to a bit pricey with attitude. Venues to catch small music concerts, plays and improv performances. And then there's the restaurant scene- ice cream, brunch, Thai, Mexican, steakhouse, pizza, sandwiches, bakery and more. Take a day, maybe several and explore everything Midtown has to offer.

Another older mall in Reno…read more It now houses just a few chain stores - CVS, Marshalls, My Favorite Muffin, Tuesday Morning, and a Port of Sub. As well as just a handful of small local shops. It has plenty of easy parking. But the poor tired looking interior and exterior needs some updating. Recently with all our rain, it was dripping inside in several areas. And it's sad to see so many empty store fronts. It's an ok spot if you want to run in and out to one of their major stores.

This shopping center is nothing special and it age is showing. I get the feeling while I'm in…read morethere that they are over due for a remodel and that maybe the place is lacking proper building maintenance, but even with that I usually always wander from store to store and find something to spend money on! They have a lot of neat and unique shops inside the mall, and a few big stores. Also there is a little Korean lady with a seamstress shop in there, and I've used her a few times and was happy with her work. The giant Shepplers Western Wear store is of course a place I have to at least browse around in, though I have not worn western clothes on a regular basis in a very long time..... but a Texan is just automatically drawn to anywhere that has boots, jeans, and cowboy hats. I have self control though and dont buy any of it!! They also have a background check place which is what first brought me to this little shopping center where you go to get your FBI background check and fingerprints checked and a security check ran for employment and I had to go there for my last job...... In case your wondering I am not wanted by the law and I'm cleared by the FBI and considered a non security risk!! I SWEAR that time I was on America's Most Wanted was all a big mix up :-) hahaha The shopping center is an OK place, it serves its purpose I just think its time to spruce it up. The best part about coming here other then you can get finger printed and not need a bail bondsmen is that when your finished you can just hop across the parking lot and go eat at Dickey's BBQ!!!!! Yum!
