Keystone Bakery is one of my favorite places to visit when I am back in the BVA. While the bakery changed hands a few years ago you really can't tell a difference, which is a good thing. Atmosphere - Sweet smells, busy, narrow room, with clean and basic decorating as to not detract from the large glass counter/ case of tasty pastries. Food - My favorites items here include the pecan rolls, Bunker hill rolls, Paska bread, dinner rolls, raisin bread, apricot Kolache, and walnut Kolache. Oh, and of course I like their cake. I like it in sheet form with the marble batter and white icing. The cake icing (Regular Butter Cream) here is a little dense than say Bethel Bakery, which uses a very light in texture French Buttercream. I can't say one is better than the other, as it just depends on my mood or the event. If it is a graduation, baptism, or confirmation...a Keystone sheet cake please! If I am picking up a small round cake, I may prefer the latter. Price - Reasonable! Appreciate what you have here BVA. In the South we only have fancy bakeries that think it's cool to charge you $5 for one stinking brownie...no wonder I never stop. Overall - If I still lived here I would be fat...but happy. Till then, I will continue to stop by when I am in the area. Keep up the good work Keystone!

Delicious cake for Father's Day. Nice service. Clearly nothing wrong with the cake. Tastes pretty good. 5 stars.

I've been coming here every time I visit since I was a kid. I'm obsessed with their pierogis, devil dogs, bread, and pretty much anything they are selling in his place. We don't have bakery's in Florida but I always make a point to visit here when in in town. Cash only!

Keystone has been a family favorite for years. Our b-day cakes always came from there and they were always so cool with everything from a Cabbage Patch Kid doll to The Hulk to The Smurfs (I was a child of the 80's you know:)!). They have added a location in Greensburg. Nice and a little bigger than the BV location but still the same awesome sweet treats. I love their icing however if you don't like sweet, stay away from the cake because their icing is sweet. It definitely suits me to a tee because I love sweet. Cookies are great too. Like the strawberry logs as well. Hubby likes the cinnamon rolls and the cream horns. And the bread is fresh and soft and terrific! Oh and don't forget their ravioli... meat and spinich, delightful!

Frosting is way too sweet for me. I do like the fresh bread & some of the cookies. They also have frozen homemade perogies.

Go and visit this cute little bakery in the heart downtown Monongahela, Pennsylvania's 2nd smallest…read morecity! We've been here a couple of times. First off, we've complimented the owner/staff as to how impressed we were relative to the cleanliness of the place, particularly the display case. We didn't see one stray crumb both times we were there! It's primarily a bakery but they seem to have daily lunch specials too. For the bakery items, our favorites are the fritters (great with your morning coffee), some kind of crème-filled éclair-style pastry (soooo good,...but soooo bad for you,...see the close-up of the picture as to how it's overflowing with the filling), and the cherry pastry. The lady locks (sp.?) were OK, but different than the ones we're used to. The cinnamon bun we tried was a little dry for us,...but might be a good coffee dipper. As for the lunch specials, we've had the sausage and meatball subs. From what I can remember, they were really inexpensive (think they were $3.50 when we bought them). Tasty, buns super fresh - something I would order again. The prices were super reasonable and the young lady who waited on us couldn't be more friendly. Would we go back? Absolutely! Just wish they would advertise more locally (like on local FB pages,...hint, hint) to remind folks they are still around.

By far the best lady locks I have had in the past 20 years. I was passing thru the town of…read moreMonongahela, and saw the bakery sign. Never would I pass a bakery up. Cookies were delicious..........................cannot wait to order for Christmas.
