Sale experience was pleasant, but the car turned out to be a lemon; engine failure within a weekend…read moreof driving. The sales rep also turned out to be unknowledgeable about the car, as they offered to make a fix in the contract that was entirely irrelevant to the car. On the plus side, this has been a wonderful opportunity to learn car maintenance! But yeah, look elsewhere.

This is the worst car experience in my 40 years of buying cars. First, if you have excellent credit…read morethey don't have options for you to get any kind of competitive rates. Second, I bought a car from them and the check engine light appeared two days later. Now I did hook it up to a scanner and it showed a total of 18 codes. The check engine light code showed that it was turned off three days prior(which they said they didn't do). Now I live in southern Delaware so I had to bring the car back (5 hours of driving) to have the car repaired. They kept the car for almost two weeks and they did deliver it back to me after some negotiating. Forget trying to talk to anyone, it's a AI driven and they won't answer the phone. Left several messages and NO response. The service manager never returned my call. I had to contact the Attorneys Generals office and the Better Business Bureau in order for them to return a call. They gave me a 30 day temp tag which expired one week after they returned the car to me. I asked for a new temp tag and was never given a response. Car was inspected in Delaware and the car sat for almost two months in my driveway with expired tags. This dealership is the definition of sleazy used car dealerships. Zero stars should be an option!!

G Motors - Me sending the location of the cat after it broke down a week after i brought it to the # they said send it to. and no response's .

I bought a 2020 Elantra from them a month ago and it's been great. Didn't like that they forgot to…read moremention that the warranty costs 3k and gap insurance was another 1.1k. They didn't explain that to me when I bought the car. I asked "is the warranty standard," and they said "yeah," so I assumed it meant it didn't cost anything, my fault, but they could've made it more clear. i ended up needing a loan that was 5k more than I was expecting thanks to an additional $1000 from documenting and service fees that they didn't also mention. I didn't see an itemization of all the costs until I came in a month later to get my plates. Also my fault for not asking but you'd think they'd include that in the stack of papers they give you. Overall the people acted nice, but the initiative is definitely on you to get clear answers on numbers and costs. If you give them the chance to not mention something important, they will take it and it'll be on you to figure it out later.

Deceptive practice is the business model. This review is of the location in Waterford, NJ…read more Be sure to check your sales contract for 1) change in vehicle pricing. 1k was added to the advertised price. 2) give the sales person in writing the amount of your down payment to give to the finance guy. A verbal amount was given to the salesman which was higher than what he relayed to the finance guy. Once discovered, an additional call and the redoing the contract to included the correct down payment and monthly payment amount was required. 3) the addition of a warranty. It is made to seem like the warranty is covered in cost by the dealer with the wording 'it comes with a warranty' (it's not; it added to the price) The warranty only covers cosmetic damages to the vehicle, not the mechanics like the engine, turbo, etc and will significantly increase the amount financed and taxes as the warranty is expensive for what is covered. 4) Ensure the approval letter be given to the finance guy. Even after presenting a pre approval letter, finance made additional inquiries with other lenders without my permission. Once discovered, it was determined the salesman never informed finance of the pre approval. 5) Have the vehicle throughly inspected by a mechanic not employed by the dealership if you're expecting not to have to put money into the vehicle immediately. The lie they will tell you is their mechanic did a thorough inspection when in fact, at least in this case, that was not true. Luckily, extensive research on the potential repairs needed for the year, make, and model of vehicle purchased was done beforehand, so repairs were expected. After discovering the issues outlined above, contacting the dealership and not getting a reply, a letter was written with the promise to report them to the state, an acceptable compromise was reached.
