Worst experience ever! as a certified master mechanic for 1 of the top dealerships in the USA. I purchased a used truck and had a few problems with it. I quickly realized I too was just throwing parts at it to remedy the problem. Terrible. Received a phone call regarding A bronco that I had reserved a year prior. The employee and I had a 30 second conversation on where he said nothing but "I'll send you an email that will tell you what to do". I never received the email. I called them to next day to get in contact with the car salesman that I was contacted by. The lady that answered the phone had no answer for me besides "I'll tell Eric to call you.". Nick was prompt in delivering the jeep to us at our hotel and showed us how everything worked before he left. The jeep was a ton of fun, comfortable, and rode well. Upon our departure, Nick met us at our hotel lobby and took us to the airport in the same jeep when we had to return it. We live in another state and are considering purchasing a Jeep. If I could I'd give no stars and write a review. We called to make sure we could come in same day to look at cars. They told us they opened at 10 and booked us for an 11 appointment. We called back at 11 because the door was locked and they said they'll get to us at 11:30. 11:45 rolls around and the door is still locked. Call back again and they tell us their closed for the day. Not ok. You should know your hours and should know when you can see customers. You shouldn't tell them times when you're not sure. This is not good customer service! read more

Took my Tacoma in to have the oil changed. Eight months later, the "maintenance needed" light comes on, and this time, they cannot fit me in for an oil change. No biggie, right? I had changed my oil in the Tacoma I had previously for 17 years DOZENS of times. I could handle it..... Well, ya know where the directions say to tighten the filter to finger tight and then 1/4 turn....? Yeah, the cartridge was SO TIGHT I couldn't move it with a filter wrench. Thanks, Keys Auto. I had to dump the new oil into a dirty filter and schedule a $150.00 oil change for this week. Like their commercials say- "Go with the guys you know and trust". Well, I didn't know you very well before I bought the truck, and now, I ABSOLUTELY don't trust you. You'll never sell me another car, that's for damn sure. read more

I took my 2007 Jeep Commander to check for a misfire. They kept it there for 3 1/2 weeks they said they checked all pistons and coils and everything seems to be in good condition they finally said it was the PCM. They replaced the PCM I paid $1900 they said the car had no more problems it was all taken care of. The next day the car would not idle right was jumping back-and-forth I called back was told to bring the car back. I called back they told me to bring the car in they had it from Monday to Friday they called me on Friday and said if I wanted to use it over the weekend it was probably the computer trying to settle In. I drove it Home took it for a ride and parked it I tried to restart it it began to blow blue smoke out the exhaust. I called Keys Auto Center in Key West they told me to bring it back they had it there for three days and then told me it was the starter it would cost $700 to fix. I ended up reaching agreement with the Service manager I buy the starter they put it in with no charge.I was already upset from all the problems and all the time they've had my car. Four days after that I got a call back from Keys Auto Center letting me know my engine was blown. I would have to pay $9000 for a new motor block. I spoke to the general manager about the problem But he brush it off like it was my own fault and told me to take my car home I had to get a tow truck and take my car home and that's the way they treat people here in Key West Florida hometown Keys Auto Center. Check all reviews and personal information of workers there before taking your car there that's my advice have a nice day. read more

Our car broke down on the way down to Key West. We were hoping to get a quick fix so we could get our Jeep Wrangler back on the road again. We were pleased to discover that there was a Jeep dealership on the island. However, after seven phone call attempts during business hours, we were informed that there was a three week waiting period with only one mechanic. Are you kidding me? We had to ask advice from those we met on the island. Needless to say, not the best place to get your car service, we thankfully found a different mechanic. read more

If I could give negative stars, I would. Not only did they tell me they fixed the same issue 2 different times and charge me $250 then $650 respectively, when the issue arose once again they tried to charge me another $300. When I said I wouldn't pay and just wanted my car back, they said I'd be charged a checkout fee of $100. I ended up having to pay the fee or they would have kept my vehicle. Don't ever go here. Update: Just wanted to follow-up with an update for anyone considering bringing their vehicle here. I took my jeep to Keys Automotive Sales & Service and not only did they fix ALL the issues that Keys Auto Center misdiagnosed and created when working on my vehicle, they also did it at a third of the price. I called GM Lee Holt per his comment on my Facebook review last week to inform him of this and ask him once again to review the work that was done on my vehicle and request reimbursement for nearly $1000 in charges. Lee said he would review and asked if he refunded my money if I would take down my reviews. I said yes if that would get me my money back to which he said he would look at my files and get back to me - this was a week ago and I still have not received a call back. I will continue to dispute the charges through my credit card and provide updates throughout process to inform future customers of what they can expect. read more

Stay as far away as possible as new management since may 2017 and service is worse than ever! Took my Toyota in for service and they tried to tell me I wasn't under warranty (I am) and that I had to leave it overnight. Well, overnight turned into 2 WEEKS for a simple part but it has to be shipped from their warehouse somewhere in Florida as they won't keep normal parts on hand. I got a stupid mechanic who told me my car was a different engine than stock (it isn't ) and there were 25 extra miles on my car from being parked on the lot??? Who are they kidding? I had an appointment - from now on I was told NO appointment = NO service no matter who you are. So much for an emergency. Niles in Key West - you have a new vehicle to service and every Ford or Toyota owner should stay as far away. They can't even operate their computers and they think I would return? Went to buy a vehicle and got the runaround by the owner. The salesman looked embarrassed and he knew I had spotted his boss was a liar. Told me the vehicle would be 5K Monday morning. I told him he was full of crap. Sure as the sky is blue I drove onto the lot and the vehicle was still there with the same price. Say away from Duncan Auto or whatever these clowns call it now. Stay far away. Their vehicle repair shop should be investigated. I doubt any of those clowns are ASE certified. The waiting room was dirty and it smelled like bad fried chicken. This is the worse dealer I have Ever been to and I am 73. Jeep Corp told me to go there as they are the closest to my home. Normally I go to Key largo . The job was to replace my ignition switch. Jeep told me it was a 1 hour job and I could wait for it. I arrived at 9:45 for a 10AM appointment. I sat at the service window for 25 minutes while they serviced cars behind me, since I was warranty work and the rest were money jobs. At 1 Pm I asked about the car and was told in would take another hour but if I did not want to wait I could have it back. I won't go through the rest of the day but at 4:15 I finally got the car back. There were still 3 people waiting for their warranty work to be completed also arriving at 10 am. Needless to say I will never be back and would never purchase a car from them as warranty work is a very low priority. read more

Sunroof broke on my $57,000 F-150,..service personnel told me 8 hours to fix problem,..dropped off at 2 pm on Wednesday,..Thursday at 4 pm I call to find status of truck,..lady with gravelly voice takes down my info and tells me she'll go check status and call me back,she never does. Friday,no one calls me. Saturday morning I call only to find out service is closed on saturdays. I lost it.i don't care how long it takes to fix my truck but I want to be updated. I finally get my truck back on Tuesday afternoon. Not only was the sunroof not fixed,but my beautiful trucks interior was taken apart and put back together by someone with little or no experience putting interiors back together even though I stressed to the service manager several times that I wanted my interior put back together the way I brought it in. Immediately upon inspecting truck I found headliner had creases in it where the mechanic pulled it down from the roof,.panels not fitting together properly,rear sliding window not working,.weather seals in door not properly installed,doors out of alignment, plastic interior panels loose. Now I have to drive up to mainland to let and hope some other technician either fix my truck or ruin it more....anyone who cares about their vehicle I wouldn't recommend you bring it there. They just don't have the experience and will promise you everything. read more

I've been a Ford customer for 50 years and have had service in more than a dozen ford dealerships in my lifetime. Keys Auto Center is at the bottom of the list. I literally cannot get them to return a call. They have a website and a call center: but the service department has not returned 3 attempts to schedule service. The website freezes up when you get to the calendar to schedule your service. I really need to have the 7500 mile service before we go back north, I guess I will have to drive to Miami. Shame on you Keys Auto Center. Your service is non existent. read more

We have a 2014 Ram truck and a 2015 Jeep Wrangler, both purchased on the mainland because Duncan dealership was just awful. We were hoping new ownership would change that reputation but apparently not. Both vehicles came with 4 free oil changes and we were told that all dealerships in south Florida participated in this offer. It was explained to us that it was advantageous for other dealerships to provide this simple service, since other work would be done at the same time or in the future, and they could gain a customer. Neither Duncan nor Keys Auto honor this Chrysler program. We travel to the mainland, or use Oily's on Stock Island. Our vehicles will never be service at this dealership. read more

I was hoping service would get better when Warren Henry took over but it has only gotten worse. I would not recommend purchasing a vehicle from this dealer strictly due to the fact that if you have any issues with your vehicle it will be weeks before you get it fixed. This is by no means the first time I've had issues with service or anyone else that I know for that matter. My traction control light came on and stays on which means traction control does not work nor does cruise control. I made an appointment to have this looked at which I had to wait two weeks before I could be seen. The day of my appointment I dropped off the Durango and within about three hours I was getting a call saying that the yaw sensor was bad, but they didn't have any in stock so it would have to be ordered. After not hearing from the dealer for about a week I called back to find out when the sensor would be in and I was told by the parts department that they had already had it. I went ahead to schedule my next appointment to have the sensor replaced and now I have to wait three weeks just to be seen again. I was told that they only have one guy working on Dodge. How is it possible the dealership only has one guy and the lady explained that he wouldn't be in next week which was the same thing I was told the first time I made my first appointment. read more

I dropped my jeep off due to a random misfire in the cylinders, 48 hours later, the service dept tells me I need a new engine. Prior to my car being dropped off to them, there were no signs of everheating and I had it looked at by another auto mechanic place who gave no indication my engine had any other problem than a random misfire. I cannot rate their service as I think they screwed up my engine attempting to get 6,000 out of me. I'm now seeking an attorney. read more

First, I am a retired Ford Dealer who recently moved to the Keys. My advice is NEVER go NEAR Duncan Ford. I took my wife's car in for a heater control valve leaking and was called back with a $2400 ESTIMATE which included replacing the valve, A/C compressor, receiver dryer, thermostat, etc. I was told the compressor was leaking around the seals and had to be replaced. The A/C was blowing hot on the drivers side but icy cold on the passenger side due to the faulty heater control valve, I knew that. I told them to replace the valve and call me when the car was ready. Wayne, the service adviser, called me back and said the valve was on national backorder and they didn't know when they could get one. He also said his technician would not work on the car unless I had the A/C compressor replaced. I told him to top off the coolant and we were coming to get the car. I called my Ford dealer in Virginia the next day and they had the valve in stock. I had it in two days for $109 vs $216 from Duncan, took the car and valve to a local shop and had it installed for $136. That was in early January and the car is operating perfectly and the A/C is icy cold on both sides. This AFTER I told Wayne that I was a retired Ford dealer on several occasions. If Duncan Ford attempts to take advantage of me that way, I can't imagine what they do to an average car owner. I wrote a personal letter to the dealer explaining what happened and never even got the courtesy of a reply. STAY AWAY!! read more
