This company can originate a new car key and program it if you need them to. Not something can be said for all locksmith companies. They charge more than it would cost for me to go and get new keys cut and programmed from the dealership, so I go and pickup the unprogrammed, cut computer keys up from Jim Ellis Mazda in Marietta. ($75)(In order to have them take care of the whole job, I would have to tow my car all the way up there.) 2:15 I get a call from the company asking me to go and test the keys to make sure that they turn. They don't want to send someone out before I make sure that the keys work. Fair enough. 2:30 I get home. The key works. I call them up. Tell them the great news. They say great. 1-1.5 hours till I can drive. 3:50 I receive a call stating that techs are backed up and cannot come out until 5-5:30. boo. (4-stars) I ask for a discount. I am told that there will be no discount on services. (3-stars).... but there is a coupon on the website for $10 off. (back to 4-stars) 4:42 Tech shows up. Raheem: Super friendly and outgoing... I instantly like him. Quick service. Finished in 10 minutes. Not much to complain about overall. A great company with some unique offerings. Raheem is cool. Staff is cool in general. Competitively priced. I added their website to their yelp listing. There is a coupon on their website. Use it. 5-Stars.

Then came the scare tactics. Without a key, towing the car could cause damage so they have to use a truck with "special tools." AAA only pays up to $100 of the tow anyway and their contracted locksmiths are shady. To Yelp I go! Yelp sent my request to a few companies. Three called. One said he could get me into the car but couldn't make a key. Another said he was too busy. Sonkey was the easy choice! Christopher was very nice on the phone which is important when you're stranded downtown at night. He gave me a fair price ($250). I know because I called around to compare. Another company charged more for "programming" the key fob. Chris also provided status updates. When it took longer than the 45 minutes he'd quoted he let me know how long it would be. No-one does that. When Chris arrived he put me at ease by telling me about himself. He's a producer, musician, song writer and makes worship music. Sometimes his son works with him. Hence "Son"key. Payment was easy. Use Zelle to avoid credit card fees. Most importantly he made me a key fob that was as good as my original. I've had some really raggedy replacement fobs so that's a blessing. He provided an invoice too. In short, I saved Sonkey in my phone in case I'm ever in need of a locksmith. Extra points for supporting a small, black owned business. 100% recommend!

I called Urgent at 11 yesterday morning and the locksmith (Ryan) was at my house an hour later. After his arrival, I decided to switch out the deadbolt & add keyless entry. Ryan suggested I go purchase the system of my choice & he would return the same day. I drove to a big box store & after texting him several of my choices (while still in the store) he confirmed what would work best. RUN THE OTHER WAY…read more Moved into a new build and called this company for a rekey. They got the rekeys done, but didn't tell me that two of the doors they rekeyed had faulty door handles. Also suggested I get deadbolts AFTER they completed services and I paid. Would have been great to know that before I paid for 10 locks to be rekeyed. Rushed off to the next job and was terribly rude about it. Save your money and go elsewhere!
