The management in this location mishandled my business account…read more They essentially stole over $1000 in overdraft fees and would not allow us to block charges when we had moved to a new bank. I had to run around between multiple locations. Many managers from different locations said this could be refunded. But the managers at this Wallingford branch had no empathy and were disregarding of the issue. This game of chasing my money was costing me expensive time that would have a better return when I focus on my business. So I had to stop with it. Just putting this here so others do not get played with in the same way. We were good customers for over 2 years and wanted to change banks. Because of this we lost over $1000 in fees to this location. Please refund.

Since the rate was extremely low I decided to just withdraw my money. The representative then said did you get a letter offering a better rate? I showed my letter, and there was no such better rate in it. She said I could give you a better rate. That's funny because just a minute ago you gave me your best rate. Since I was able to get a better rate elsewhere, and I was tried of the games they play I said just close the account, and give me a check. She then said their check writing machine was down at all locations, and I won't be able to get my money until the machine is fix. I advised that my debit card was expiring next month and I had not received a new one or notification a new one was being sent to me. She did say it would be sent this month. She did proceed after speaking with the teller whom I made my deposit and inquired about my debit card. She had me come over and input a PIN number and I said, usually cards are issued a couple of months prior to expiration. Her reply, No they are not. I said, ok that's been my experience with credit cards. She said give me 3 minutes and your card will be printed. I walked back to the waiting area and thought just give her patience and grace as she may be having a bad day, since she was giving attitude from her initial can I help you...what happened to it ,to no they are not. She approached shortly with my newly printed card and said you can't use it until after 12 and I thanked her and said have a great day. At this point, she greeted the next customer in the waiting area warm, friendly and accommodating. So upon leaving she seemed to not be having bad day I was just the wrong hue. Don't know her name but she had dark hair and the other person in another office had lighter hair.

It's why I've never needed to make a change to any other banking institution.. In the past two weeks, they've begun using high technology to eliminate the need to fill out deposit/withdrawal/transfer slips. One tells the clerk what you want to do, and how much, and they have a palm print reader to substitute for your signature. Pretty cool!

Just went to cash…read morea check made out from BOA account from my town's Electric company and they want to charge me an $8.00 fee!!! Seriously?! I was a customer for over 20yrs until about 9yrs ago when the last straw was they charged me $5.00 fee to notarize a letter of donation of my car to the CT Humane Society. I was still a Customer and they charged me a fee when no other bank does that! If I wasn't in a rush to have my car picked up that day, i would've gone to my car insurance company or the Post Office. But I had no choice that day. I was a freakin customer and they charged me!! Wouldn't even make a photocopy for me, if you can believe that! So that was my final straw. I was, a few yrs ago, still able to cash checks there that were from BOA with no fee but now suddenly there's a ridiculous fee. These banks are crazy!! Never ever ever in my life will I become a BOA Customer again!!! Oh and Wells Fargo won't accept cash either unless you use their ATM as I found out while trying to deposit almost $1,000 into my mom's account for her as she's 85, disabled and unvaccinated.
