Chef Wes and Lluvia were absolutely amazing! I wish I was a better writer to describe everything…read moremore than "amazing" and "the most delicious thing I've ever eaten" but I don't. Instead I will tell you to just go ahead and boom Chef Wes. We booked him for my dad's birthday. He called to help with the menu because everything on his website sounds divine. And I said that. While we originally picked like 8+ items from each course, we ended up with 3 appetizers, soup, salad, surf n turf, and dessert. It was too much food but there is not a single item I wouldn't order again. We had coconut shrimp, bacon wrapped scallops, and tuna cups for appetizers. I don't even like shrimp that much but omg he may have converted me. Or ruined me because no shrimp will ever come close to tasting that good. The second course was cuban black bean soup and wow! I could've finished with these 4 things and still given a raving review. We weren't planning on soup because it was so hot but I'm so glad we did! Make sure to get the cuban black bean soup. Then we had Watermelon salad that was the perfect amount of fresh fruit over mixed greens and a balsamic dressing. Yum! Our entree was surf and turf. Since we didn't catch anything fishing, Chef Wes picked up fresh Mahi Mahi and topped it with a delicious salsa. The filet was cooked to buttery perfection. The green beans were so garlicky and crunchy and delicious. We had potatoes that we thought would be a nice addition but we're actually seasoned amazingly and was one of the best surprises of the entree. Then when many of us were stuffed to the brim because it was all so good and we couldn't stop eating, we had the Mangoes morada. Fresh Mangoes over ice cream topped with cinnamon sugar almonds and a grand Marnier and chocolate drizzle. The cherry on top of a perfect evening. Chef and Lluvia were just so friendly. We really enjoyed their conversation during our m3al. They timed courses well. We had a few breaks to rest between the later courses and a bit longer before dessert. Lluvia left our rental spotless. She was just so great. I cannot say anything better about our experience for the night. Make sure to book Chef Wes for any meal while you are in the keys. He is worth every penny. Thank you for such a great experience!

Our appetizer was called lobster in the reef-lobster in tempura on a bed of seaweed salad. Yum! The salad was nicely done filled with nuts, cheese and pears. Sides were mushroom risotto and asparagus with the most superb yellowtail fish with a mango salsa and banana topping. So unique and the flavors were robust. We had to take a slight break before diving into the lava cake finale. Good thing we have days left to rest after this wonderful food coma. Thank you to Chef Wes and Jenn.

A cute small little outdoor restaurant away from the madness of Duval Street with delicious food…read more There is a indoor bar but its seperately owned which is weird and the kitchen is an outdoor kitchen in the backyard behind the bar which for sanitary reasons I do hope it has pass the health code regulations test... The bathroom is an outhouse next to the backyard kitchen and is somewhat clean... I had to dock a star for health code reasons... They do say the best cultural food never pass that standard but still I do feel uncomfortable with what I eat from a kitchen in the backyard next to an outhouse. Anyways service is excellent from the hostess who kept refilling our water to our server who constantly checked on us and gave us excellent recommedations. He also had this cute European accent. Also the bus boy was ever so kind too when removing our plates and getting new ones. Lobster Mac and Cheese (5/5) ok by far the best I ever had. The portion is really small for the price dont get me wrong but worth every bite. The cheesiness and the breadcumbs blended perfectly with the lobster and pasta.. yum! Still wish they gave us a little more. Rack of lamb (5/5) I had it cooked med. It was soo tender and juicy. The vegetable I could do without because it was overcooked but the mash potato was soo creamy and good. Seared ahi tuna (4/5) this was my roommate's dish which I only had two bites and thought it was was seared perfectly and really fresh. I cannot rate it highly since I am not really a tuna fan but I did find it good. Overall the food and service was good and I would return. I am still sketchy about the sanitary conditions of the kitchen.... so I dont know if I should recommend undercook food but it is eat at your risk. Unfortunately I noticed alot of places in Key West has sanitary conditions that is questionable

The interior of Grunts dates back to the 1800's. It is filled with lots of old time memorabilia including a jukebox and coca cola machine. You have to get coins from the bartender to operate the coke machine. (Very old school). When we were deciding on what to eat the waiter made some recommendations. When I showed interest in the Lobster Mac and Cheese he informed me they can also make it an entree size even though it is not listed on the menu. I was sold. We accompanied it with the Fish Taco appetizer. Perfect amount of food for the both of us. The Fish Tacos were not Mahi Mahi but a local fish called Basa. It is a very mild fish which is perfect in the taco. It is served with avocado, spicy chipotle and a mango papaya chutney. The Lobster Mac and cheese was a food org--m. With large chunks of spiny lobster, white Truffle oil. It is topped with Panko breadcrumbs and baked to perfection with a nice crust on top. Both items were so filling no dessert was necessary. The waiter kept coming back to take our plates and I was still using the bread to sop up the cheesy goodness. Grunts is a cannot miss if in the Key West area.

She left me with ZERO time to book someone else and completely RUINED our plans. I was DEVASTATED! To this day she has never called or texted. I booked a private dinner for my family of 12 to be served in our large rental. It was a busy time between Christmas and New Years and we both understood this and between emails and text messages worked out what we needed. Just a few details left and I told Cynthia I would be in the Keys Friday Morning. Our last communication was Thursday with no indication she was not interested in catering our dinner. I contacted her Friday morning at 9:30am when I landed in Miami as our private chef meal was scheduled for Saturday night in the Keys where we were staying. I texted and called 3-5 times throughout the day with ZERO response. Cynthia COMPLETELY GHOSTED ME!!!! We had a sunset cruise booked and then home to our beautiful rental. Impeccably Gourmet RUINED our experience. She never called, texted or emailed to cancel. Friday night I sent a text asking her to please verify if she was coming or not. NO ANSWER! Saturday morning, the day of my booked private dinner, I was left with no other choice but to send a text stating since she was ghosting me, I assumed she cancelled the event. Again, NO ANSWER. We had to make last minute dinner plans at a restaurant for a party of 12 in the Keys on a Saturday night. Soooo difficult and totally devastating. I would not trust this company to follow through. I do not recommend hiring Impeccably Gourmet. This review makes me sad, I would have loved to have written a rave review. Edit: see the most recent text screen shot. I also have our emails I can post if you'd like. You were totally on board for catering my dinner. I asked if you needed a deposit and you never asked for one. Your wedding was Jan 1st. You never called or texted me on Jan 2nd, or Jan 3rd. You also never gave me any indication you wanted to cancel my dinner. You simply ghosted me.
