I totally disagree with the 1 star review. Both my husband and I have used KW Computer Doctor for my PC and his MAC. Alex was great, he did have my computer for 3 days, and that is what I agreed to. The charges are based on how quickly you need your computer back, and this is clearly stated in the contract you sign. You can pay more if you need immediate service. I didn't but my husband did when his hard drive blew after a black out (very common in KW). Alex went out and purchased a new hard drive and stayed late into the night to fix the MAC within 24 hrs. Whenever we have questions we just telephone and he or other technicians answer immediately, it is like having a local help-desk for free. I brought my computer here because I was able to actually speak with someone in person. Other computer numbers that I called in town were either disconnected or no one ever called me back. The lady was very nice and friendly, she told me exactly what the story was. Within 24 hours or less my computer could be fixed. I also had them back up my data in case something happened to my computer. They never recommended extras, only what I asked to be done. My desktop crashed this morning and as any one with a computer nowadays knows, I was concerned as to what to do and where to take it. A good friend told me about this place as he was very pleased with their service. I called, spoke with Beth, who said she would call Tim to let him know I was on my way. Expecting a 2-3 day wait I was "out of business" without computer access. Tim was extremely helpful and 3 hours later I received a call saying it was ready! I have taken numerous computers to Computer Doc for repair and have always received the greatest return on my investment. There have been times when I have thought I would have to trash a computer and buy a new one but the wiz's at Computer Doc have raised my PC from the dead and saved me major bucks and major hassle! I had what I thought was a complicated and unsolvable issue. Alex at the Computer Doctor was patient and courteous, and didn't treat me like a total idiot. Computer Doctor had my machine for a few days, and when I got it back, all of my photos and contacts were back and my computer runs much much better. I went back to Computer Doctor and had them fix my broken iPhone screen. The price was fair, the quality of work was excellent. I don't want someone to explain every detail to me. I just want them to take care of it. That's just what CompDoc does, they take care of it for you so you don't have to worry about it. Our office computer crashed, our IT guy was stranded out of state because of the hurricane and KW Computer Doctor came to our office with minimal notice to set up and install the new computer. I only know enough about computers to be dangerous, but I can tell you this much, he went above and beyond "set up and installation". They saved us a lot of grief. Thanks to the team at Key West Computer Doctor for fixing my broken iPhone screen. While on vacation, I dropped my phone and called KWCD to see if they could get me back up and running. They told me to come over immediately and had the phone fixed in less than 20 minutes. They were very friendly and had prices competitive with other similar businesses.
