    Dirty car

Horrible car wash. Does a decent job on part of the car. After I was done, the bottom half of my car still looked like it did before I went in to the wash. $17 is way too much. The ceramic has no time to coat the car because it is immediately rinsed off by the gushing water. I travel the state of Indiana for work. I wash my car once a week. This is, by far, the WORST car wash I have been to in the state. If you value the money in your wallet, keep it and drive on by this waste.

It wouldn't show me the video and never took accountability. What a scam. Literally, the service attendant flagged me in and I was uncomfortable doing so but you kept pushing me and next I know I'm in the car wash. Can't see the car in front of me and I feel a bump: So they show my insurance cover the video and blame me. I never got to see the video and I'm not sure my insurance company did either. The manager quickly came out and stopped me from taking pictures of the car that I supposedly hit and taking pictures of the area in the accident. It's all set up to prevent paying. Car wash is a scam. Recommend when they flag you in you wait for car lengths and then go in instead of letting them push your capacity and if you hit somebody in front of you paying for it like I did.

I asked for their cameras and then they said it was their fault. They offered $9 for all. I rejected it, it was offensive. Second time I went there with a new car and a temporary plate, the plate was gone after the washing. Nobody told me not to get a wash or that it could be damaged. They didn't even allowed me to file a claim. It will ALWAYS BE SOMEONE ELSE'S FAULT, NOT THEIRS! Cancelling my subscription and not going back again.

I wasn't looking forward to cleaning it off. The grittiness of the soot had me envisioning scratches in the Clear Coat. I stopped at a pressure wand car wash and it took about 50 percent of the soot off. My plan was to use Mikes. If that did not get it I would go with a clay bar at home. Well, Mikes got the soot off, but it took two passes. First pass all the grit was gone. There was an oily residue left. It came off with a microfiber cloth. The tires were a different story. "Sheila"--my GPS unit--took me down unpaved gravel and dust roads up in far NE Indiana. The black wall tires took on a gold color. First time through Mikes, it left a polished gold color. Shiny gold. Kind of looked like something from the Goldfinger movies. Second pass the following day--I was back to normal again black walls tires. Car vacuums have a charge of two bucks. We were on the ultimate plan so it was gratis. Four stars because I had to go through it twice. I'm not sure what would have happened if it took it through twice on the same day. So I didn't. We went back a second day.

Nothing gets all the dirt removed from all the nooks and crannies. Also from the body to the underneath like a good spraying. And the liquid wax being sprayed will get into every part. This is better than a good hand waxing in my option. A few years ago, a lot of owners of high-end conversation vans would go there. Until the Kelly family of dealers decided to upgrade from the top of the line "blushless spray wash" system. To a newer "economy brush" system, to be honest the 14/69 car wash cannot compete now. After going through the 14/69 with my van I still had different colored soaps? On the vehicle, with the rear doors still showing unwashed dirt areas. Also mostly, it had ripped lose part of the mudguards going down the sides of my van! It was not designed for something that big. The (dare I call it soap), was so strong, it would (remove) any of the hand wax I had put on. Right down to the paint? Was this to try to maximize the short length of the car wash? The new Mike's car wash, at the Glenbrook Mall can beat it. Mostly length is the reason, in my option. The brushes need a longer "tunnel" to clean a vehicle. Any full size car or van will be well cleaned, at this Mike's location. Afterward if you buy a high quality wax (meguiar's) and spread it over the top and hood of a van. It will last the whole winter without coming off. This is what I do with my van. The paint is "saved" from the winter. Or on any vehicle, the wax should not come off. Except if you go to the 14/69-auto body wash.
