The Key to Escape is a MUST DO for folks of all ages. I was lucky enough to be part of a test group (prior to the grand opening which is Saturday August 20th!). John and his team have put together a real challenging and fun escape room. For anyone that doesn't know about the Escape Room concept, you are in a room with 6 to 8 people (we had 7) and you find clues/solve puzzles/etc. which lead to opening locks, obtaining new clues, and eventually you put together your answers and find the correct combination on the lock to get out of the room. Now, mind you, the clues are not hanging from the ceiling in plain site - you have to think which makes it really fun. John is monitoring the room at all times, and if the group gets stuck, they can ask for clues and they will be given. If you start getting close to the end of the time limit (I believe it's an hour) then you will get some hints to be able to progress quicker and solve the puzzle. One thing that is really important to note - you are NOT locked in the room. The door you enter in remains unlocked at all times, and you are free to go out for a bathroom or water break, etc. I doubt you'll want to leave the fun, but there are no restrictions on doing so. I would recommend this to anyone above the age of 10. It is a great family event, and I'm also going to sign my company up in groups for a teambuilding event. John has a separate room with a conference table where you can meet and go over what went on while you were trying to 'escape', and he is also offering catering for birthday parties, corporate events, etc. First class operation - give it a try! Went tonight on a double date and this was our first time here. It's a great place to bring a group of people of any ages. No required dress code and no phones or internet necessary.. just need teamwork and your brain!! The owner is wicked nice and made the course fun yet challenging. Average time to finish seems to be about an hour for beginners. The only problem is it's a bit difficult to find and the entrance is on the side of the building. Big colorful signs would make it stand out to the public and encourage people to stop in on their daily drive. Also it might be cool if you had more props or even painted the walls to match the theme of the rooms. Although it might make participants think there are literally clues EVERYWHERE. All-in-all it is a great time and we are so excited to see what the newest room (in the works) has in store!! read more

Had a fantastic time at Key To Escape in Nashua today! The Cuckoo's Nest was a lot of fun. The 3 of us in our group were able to make it through with just a few minutes to spare. The staff is great. They are very personable and help add to the experience of the room. The room that we tried was very well laid out, with great puzzles, and the furnishings and design really set the atmosphere of the experience. If you like escape rooms, or have never tried one and are interested in giving one a try, I'd highly recommend Key To Escape. We'll be back for more fun, and look forward to see what the new room will be. read more

This is one of the best rooms we have done. We completed the Cuckoo's nest. My family and I have completed over 30 rooms and this is easily within the top five. The gamemaster gave the perfect clue, and one time a lock did not open the way we were playing with it and he put on the screen that the code was correct. This is huge as it shows how much he was paying attention and that could have really impacted our results. I love the real puzzle aspect and that the entire group could participate. Went with some friends. Without spoiling anything... we were concerned it would be too quick and easy but our concerns were dashed within the first few minutes. High production value, great hosts, entertaining puzzles, tricky but not impossible, basically the perfect balance between challenging and satisfactory. They know their stuff! Our group of 6 women had a terrific and challenging time when we tried the Western Room. We did escape and had fun figuring out what the different clues meant. When we needed some assistance, Cory was very helpful and give good hints. We want to return to try another room. The facilities were very clean with ample parking and good directions on the website. For her 12th birthday my daughter wanted to try an Escape Room with her friends. The House In The Woods kid-friendly level was the perfect balance of challenge and success for 12 year olds. Lara was great to work with -- from registration to game play to set-up the party room we were using after we "escaped". This was one of the best escape rooms I've ever been to. The outside does look a little shady at first but as soon as you step inside it looks amazing. The room was so cool and had so many puzzles. We went for my sister's birthday and had so much fun! We were a group of 6. I wouldn't suggest a group larger than 6, at least not in the submarine room. 6 of us felt just right in terms of splitting up tasks/clues. We all had a great time! This was so much fun. We were a group of 20 and we wanted this to be a competition and boy was it! We had so much fun working together and trying to beat the other team. We had a blast at this place! The staff was super friendly and they really made the whole experience much more fun! They were very into it, and that made us more into it as well. My husband and I tackled the Western Whistle with 8 minutes to spare and LOVED it! We've been to several different escape rooms but Key to Escape is by far the best. Hand-designed rooms and amazing puzzles. Highly recommend it if you're looking for a fun date night, or group night out! read more
