My fiance and I were so impressed after the initial consultation and knew we had to have her as our planner. Right after we booked OUATE, my fiance and I had a meeting with Jessica and basically told her everything we wanted, what we didn't want and what we dreamed of having but didn't think we could afford. She also had us fill out a questionnaire to get a sense of our style, get to know us and get an idea of what we envision for our dream wedding. After reviewing everything we gave her, she created a design board with everthing we had talked about. I loved how we got to go thourgh and point out what we liked and what we didn't like. This gave us a great sense of what our wedding was going to look like. Since I had a very hard time picking a theme and staying with that direction, this really helped me get on track and focus on one thing at a time. This also really helped me stop stressing and feeling overwhelmed and let me enjoy the wedding planning process. As a bride, I knew I wanted to be involved in the fun stuff but not the boring, budget related stuff. Jessica was amazing at handling all the stuff I didn't want to do or did not know how to do. We gave her our total budget and she planned around that very well and helped us stay on track. She also did all of the orders (which were a ton since we had our wedding at private estate and had to bring everything in) and delt with the most of our vendors. She has a great working relationship with a ton of wedding vendors in Reno that she was able to get things done and get them done fast! And she had wonderful recommendations for our wedding vendors. We loved them all! During the whole wedding planning process Jessica and her sister, Cassie kept us on track and made sure we were getting things done when they needed to be done. I loved how they took all of my ideas and wishes and made them happen without any questions. The whole time, they were professional but so nice and fun to work with! It made wedding planning a lot of fun! The day of the wedding, I had absolutley nothing to worry about. I sat in the house and got ready while Jessica, Cassie and her team set everything up and dealt with all the vendors. The wedding was not too big but the whole production of it was a lot! We had a ton of flowers, a fire pit, a dessert bar, photo booth, a lounge and a ton of details such a signage and personalized items. Jesssica and her team were so organized and executed everything PERFECTLY! It was above and beyond anything I had even imagined. They took my vision to the next level and made it better than I could had ever wished for. Jessica and Cassie kept the wedding on track the whole night and everything went off witthout a hitch. We purchased time to consult with Allison on details months before. Each piece of advice came from tons of experience and expertise. She guided us toward and away aspects that were best for us. --Meeting us at the venue to look for possible ideas, flow of the event, seating charts, etc. Plus advice for day of set up. --A 'ring blessing,' an important, yet difficult-to-coordinate ritual of passing our rings around on a ribbon pre-ceremony. This turned out to be a beautiful, unifying aspect of the day that couldn't have been pulled off with our coordinator --Since my husband and I couldn't be dragged from the dance floor to cut the cake, our coordinator had the great, spontaneous idea to have our brother (baker of the cake) bring it to us on the dance floor. We now have these fun, silly photos of us feeding each other while dancing, something many guests thought was a rehearsed performance but was actually just a wonderful spur-of-the-moment event! --Our day of coordinator brought us drinks and food, ensuring that we ate. Upon reaching out, Allison responded immediately to provide more information on their different services and what to expect with each. She was very responsive to all our questions and her communication skills were exactly what we were looking for as our wedding day wrangler. With the services that we went with, most of the magic started a little over a month before our actual wedding day. Allison collected all our vendor contracts and worked in parallel with our venue event coordinator to ensure that no detail was missed in the planning process. She created our wedding day timeline and communicated with all our vendors directly to make sure everyone was on the same page. Allison reminded us about items we had overlooked and continued to stay in close contact with us leading up to the big day. In addition to running our rehearsal, Allison and her assistant Lindsey were present for our entire wedding day. They worked seamlessly with all our vendors in the set-up of our decor and made sure everything ran smoothly and on schedule. Dorie was kind enough to let me customize my package. You will be keeping the price point of course, but she was nice enough to let me swap things like providing my own flowers and trading those fees for more photos instead. I have to say, she captured some of the most incredible moments and I could not have asked for anything better. We got married on 8.26.2021 and it was in the midst of everything bad in S. Lake Tahoe. We originally lost our spot we booked a year in advanced, (Emerald Bay) but Dorie did everything she could to make sure that she was able to find a spot that was still open and available so we did not lose out on the opportunity to get married since it was coming down to the wire. (2 days after we left everyone was evacuated) To chime in with people are saying in regards to Dorie and her attitude. Dorie is a professional and she is a bit older. She has been doing this a long time and she knows what she is doing and how she wants it done. Her issue is with people not listening to her, people not following the instructions they were told, people being in her personal space, and things like that. People tend to not realize that when she is taking pictures, they close in on her because they want to get the shot too and it leaves her no room to move and she has to tell people to please back up over and over. She has to remind people "this is what we are doing or this is where we are going" and after 2 or 3 times yes, the annoyance is on her face and apparent and I honestly don't blame her because it does take a long time. We arent natural models so yes, we dont always get the poses she is asking us to do or what she means and she does get frustrated, I could see she was a bit annoyed with me and my husband because we are not naturals LOL. Overall it was a wonderful experience and she did every and anything she could to make it a great day despite the natural disaster around us. I would highly recommend LOTSW to anyone.
