Our DJ, Andrew and his trainee, Caleb were amazing! They had gotten to the venue for setup just before we did. Andrew was highly detail oriented and was able to get on page with us quickly if there was a lull or questions. His talent was further exemplified when he took on a 'wedding coordinator' role and made sure to either keep us on time or communicate with us about the timeline and if we wanted changes. He and Caleb really helped make our day special. From Caleb signaling to everyone that it was their turn to go down the aisle, to both of them checking in and asking if we needed anything. The communication was proactive and consistent. I truly believe they helped change the course of our day for the better with their generous service and their pure kindness. We have been so impressed with McClain's and I know our guests had the BEST TIME, in part because of this team. DJ Spencer is the fun, outgoing, trendy DJ that everyone needs at their wedding! Our communication with him from the beginning was great. We spoke with him on the phone about his style and approach to DJing before booking with him. He convinced us that he was the right DJ for us with his confidence and passion in DJing and his knowledge about the types of songs to play to keep everyone happy and to keep the party fun throughout the entire day! We heard again from the DJ company about a month before the wedding to start filling out a planning worksheet. This worksheet covers every song request (for both the cocktail hour and the reception), and every "do not play" song. It also asks detailed questions about every aspect of the wedding to ensure everything goes according to plan (ceremony songs, announcements to make throughout the day, order of toasts, cake cutting songs, etc.) and asks about the timeline for the day. This ensures the DJ arrives prepared for the day! We had a phone call with DJ Spencer the week of the wedding and told him to play music at the reception that would keep the party fun and keep people on the dance floor. We gave him a guideline of the songs we like, and he delivered! He was able to mix songs and keep it super fun! We had so many compliments from wedding guests over how great the DJ was. My wedding planner always told me that the guests of a wedding remember two things about a wedding: whether or not the food was good, and whether or not they had a great time. I wish I could give 10 stars! Damian and Kaden absolutely knocked it out of the park! Damian was a great MC and kept the energy up! We had very specific Spotify playlists that we wanted played and they had it lined up exactly as we wanted! We had rain, hail, and wind on our wedding day in Reno at the Elm Estate, and it did not affect Damian and Kaden at all. They were well prepared, and the ceremony + reception audio was crystal clear and loud. They even brought DJ lights that I was unaware of that really added to the reception! Oh my GOSH. I cannot say enough great things about Tracy. First of all, she is affordable. She has this super easy website that allows you to make payments & pick your favorite songs to be played at your wedding. She sets everything up in an extremely organized manner for each different thing you may or may not want a song for such as cake cutting, garter toss, etc. Not only is she an awesome Dj, but she acts as and MC, too! She is humorous and keeps the wedding fun as she announces things for the wedding. To top it off, Tracy got out on the dance floor and showed us different dances!! I cannot say enough nice things about how Tracy DJed my Marine grandson's wedding to his beautiful Marine bride! She corralled a crowd that went a bit off track, kept us entertained and played incredible music! Initially, I was super impressed. Tracy was prompt in communication and helping me upload the songs for our wedding, as I had some issues finding some less known songs. I was excited we chose them. Unfortunately, the event itself and the post event response changed my satisfaction . DJ Danny was friendly; but he appeared a novice. He has lots of potential. He just wasn't fully able to command/read the room. We never had a mic check, so the lapels and mics weren't working properly during some of ceremony. He was suppose to dismiss tables for dinner, but he didn't, so my bridesmaid helped with flow. However, the most disappointing part is their response as we shared our concern. They initially were receptive, but then they talked to venue (which is understandable and vendor relations, we get), but it then shifted blaming the bridesmaid for not following schedule, the venue said he was helpful setting up chairs/tables (which were already set up at 9am but even so, we are paying for DJ service, not set up crew), and it was communicated, "it sounds like you are money hungry couple. read more

Tracy went to our venue (Plumpjack) the week prior to our wedding just to familiarize herself with the DJ setup locations and took a video tour for the DJ that would ultimately be at our wedding. We hired Tracy to do our wedding back in May. My only regret is that I didn't leave the review sooner. Simply put, Tracy and her assistant made our day. We had some day-of challenges (40+mph winds at our ceremony site) so we had to call a last second audible and move the site to the other side of the house, chairs, equipment, and all. Tracy made it seem like no big deal and not only helped, but helped keep us calm in the process. From there, she really helped the flow of the night, and was pretty much the quarterback out there all evening. Unfortunately the music played for a wedding I attended was terrible. Several songs of super outdated music, culturally lacking. Weird to not see anyone dance, especially when this was a dancing crowd. Per request of dj, after several request from many in attendance, I went around with a pen and paper and took requests. Seemed excessive. Also ran around looking for an aux cord to ultimately hook up a phone for music. Overall disappointed in music service. I am a DJ myself (Bilingual Disc Jockey ) and when ever I am invited to some event where I am not the DJ, I always criticize the DJ; I don't tell them I keep it to my self. I have to say it was a fun party, Tracy has a fun personality and she got a lot of the people on the dance floor to do some line dances with her. Most of the people already know the steps to the dances, but is good to see the DJ leading the line dance, it makes it more fun and it helps those who do not know the steps.
