We hired the Hytch for our wedding at the Sierra Water Gardens in Reno, and WOW what an experience working together. It really was great working with the ladies throughout my entire planning process. We held a very small ceremony and reception, under 30 guests, and pricing was affordable for us, compared to a larger gathering. From the beginning of the planning process communication had been great, I gave them my Pinterest board, and we had a few meetings leading up to the big day. They partner with local vendors to get the flowers and decor that we wanted, and I did love what everything looked like on the big day! What I did not like was not knowing what the decor would look like, until I showed up for my wedding. Additionally, in the bridal suite, my dress immediately turned black on the bottom because the floor wasn't clean, or even swept up, so dirt got on the outside of my dress, even before I even walked outside. That was really disappointing for me. This is an outdoor venue, so if weather would ruin your day, be warned that they don't have heaters or anything of the sort aside from the gazebo covering. They offering different services, depending on what you want, but for our wedding, we had a good time at this beautiful venue.

YOU HAVE TO GET MARRIED WITH THE HYTCH! We got married at Sierra Water Gardens which is a secret tucked away piece of nature with water features next to Truckee River. They were super helpful, super responsive, and just made the day feel incredible. They let us bring in champagne to toast with. Our coordinator Meghan video taped the whole thing on my cell phone as a last minute request, Ashleigh (photography) was just awesome at posing us and making us laugh the entire time, and Darren our minister was so thoughtful to tailor the 'sermon' to reflect the two of us. You can not find a better deal that you'll feel amazing about. I miss the experience already. DO NOT HESITATE TO HIRE THEM! I'm serious...check out their garden!

If you want a seamless wedding day you need to book with the Hytch! Yeliz assisted us with the timeline and vendor recommendations and kept us on track leading up to the wedding. Not to mention this was a destination wedding with everything getting booked sight unseen so there was a lot more stress and factors. Gina assisted with our rehearsal as well as the day of coordination. My husband and I got married at Tahoe Blue Estate and their familiarity with the venue helped as well! The day went absolutely perfect thanks to Gina and her team! Once I got into hair and makeup in the morning I was completely hands off. Gina took care of all of the vendors coming in and out and all I had to do was get pretty and enjoy our special day as I anticipated. It was a stress free day which was amazing!! The decorations were BEAUTIFUL and exceeded my expectations. We can't recommend the Hytch enough! We are so thankful for their amazing work!

My husband and I got engaged in October of 2024 and planned to get married summer of 2026. At random we decided to tour the beautiful location of The Hytch at Sierra Water Gardens and we fell in love with it! The amazing Yeliz and Gina told us that they had an opening in July of 2025, and we were nervous about moving up the date so significantly. The Hytch at SWG team (Ashleigh, Yeliz, and Gina) absolutely made it happen and absolutely exceeded expectations! They supported us every step of the way, and brought my vintage garden wedding dreams to life! I started my new job as a nurse the week of my wedding, and they took all of the stress off of me! They helped me incorporate my vintage china and vintage thrifted glasses into the wedding, and used my grandmother's crocheted tablecloth that she had made for me prior to her passing in the most beautiful and memorable way! Ashleigh was the most personable photographer with so much knowledge in her field! She made my husband and I feel so comfortable and got our sneak-peak images to us in less than 3 hours after the ceremony! The team was in charge of picking the florals and decorating, and myself, my husband, and our guests were blown away! I told Gina I planned to get my bouquet preserved, so she ensured they were kept safe and in water! My husband and I forgot to get the fruit for our planned "Summer berry water", and Gina went out of her way to go to the store and get fruit, which did not go unnoticed and was so kind of her! We look through slideshows of our photos regularly and reminisce on how perfect our wedding was. We would absolutely recommend this venue and this team to anyone, we are already brainstorming ways to book this location for future events! Thank you The Hytch at SWG team!

Seamless, detailed, and helpful are the ways I would describe my experience with Yeliz and Addie. They made wedding planning an absolute breeze. Even with all the unforeseen circumstances of a wild fire in 2021, they were able to reschedule and assist me in every way possible. They brought my vision to life through phone calls and a Pinterest board! I am still in shock over the beautiful reception and how every detail came together. Planning a wedding from a distance can we extremely overwhelming but these ladies are pure magic. We had the pleasure of Addie being our officiant and I was brought to tears with her sweet words. She kept it short and sweet just as we had requested. From flowers arrangements to decor, everything about that day was absolutely perfect! I can not recommend The Hytch enough!

This review was for an elopement adventure with makeup. We set our date in November of 2020 and we were married October 2021. 15 guests in Donner Lake. We had a friend of ours officiate the ceremony. Everyone braved 46° weather and we celebrated with an intimate gathering of family and friends. To the HYTCH Crew, day of coordinator Gina, makeup Hail Mary by McKenzie, and photographer Kendall - Thank you ALL for everything. Thank you, thank you, thank you. The flowers and boutonniere were both beautiful, the location was awesome, the communication was great throughout the entire process, and we were able to have the intimate ceremony with our family and friends that we wanted. Keep kicking a$s and taking names. You're and amazing group and provide an amazing service. Thank you!

Absolutely stunning, when I walked into our venue on our wedding day I was shocked at how gorgeous and picture perfect everything was. The communication throughout the process was 10/10 these wonderful ladies really are professionals at what they do! The price for this venue is literally the best in town, throughout this process there was pretty much no stress on my husband and I they really take everything out of our hands and just provide everything we could have asked for and more. I'm beyond satisfied with our wedding!

I can't say enough amazing things about The Hytch. I found them on Instagram when I knew we wanted to get married in Lake Tahoe. Since we live in Maryland, it was quite daunting to plan a wedding across the country. Once I found Addie and The Hytch, it was like all the pieces fell into place. Through them we found our venue, photographer (thank you Ashleigh!) and hair and makeup (thank you Savannah!) vendors. It was a breeze planning with them and Addie was so responsive to all of my questions and concerns. The decor and flowers they provided were unreal. The entire day was more beautiful than I could have ever dreamed because of the attention to detail and care from Addie and team. I can't thank The Hytch, Ashleigh and Savannah enough for making everything about our wedding so special!

Yeliz (the owner) is awesome! I wanted to propose to my long time gf, and Yeliz made everything easy. Venue: Looked amazing! I did it at Sierra Water Gardens. I had never been there before, but once I walked inside, I fell in love with the pond, the dock, and nice atmosphere. Even friends of mine that lived in Reno all their lives wanted to know where I proposed because the venue looked like I was in some forest. I literally didn't have to decorate much because of how romantic the venue is. Decorations: Like I said, the venue was awesome, so no need for decorations. Yeliz was awesome as she had hookups to balloons, flowers, cupcakes, anything you wanted. I ended up getting help from Balloons by Court which everyone loved, and hanging up my own pics I ordered. Music: I made a playlist on Apple Music, showed it to Yeliz, and she made it happen exactly when and how I wanted to play the music! Photography: I had my own, but Yeliz has a list of professional photographers & videographers to help capture moment. For pics I had Jae Sison, and hired Tweaking Reality for video which Yeliz recommended. They all did a great job and I am satisfied w/ both the pics and video. Basically, if you are planning any event (party, proposal, wedding, or fundraiser), call Yeliz! She is super easy to work with, can help with ideas, decorations, and recommendations for nearly everything. I'm glad I was able to find her through Yelp!, and I'm glad my proposal turned out well. I would recommend her to anyone and ask for her help again in the future! No regrets at all.

This team deserves more than 5 stars! They are very responsive with my emails. They make you feel so welcome and loved that added more magic on our wedding day. They provided planning, officiating and photography all in one package at a very reasonable price. Ashleigh took our photos and was able to send us some sneek peek photos on the same day hours after the wedding which is a plus because we are all excited to share it on our social medias I will surely avail their services again on our vow renewal

Yeliz & the Hytch are amazing. I contacted them in March right before Covid became a pandemic, I can't recall how I found them. I think I googled around and was looking through the Knot. I really liked the personal and modern look vs a couple other elopement companies I found. Anyways, after they replied to me in March, my planning got put on hold due to the world seemingly being on hold. Then as months went by, I still saw there were able to complete elopements and posting on their FB and instagram,. My fiance' and I did not want to wait indefinitely to be able to get married, so I pursued the Hytch again in mid June. Yeliz replies to every message every single day, no matter the time(you can tell how hard she works, and late as well). Once I described my ideal setting to her, she knew right off the bat the location she wanted to suggest. I started planning 5 weeks before the big day, I should say, I gave all my ideas to Yeliz and she planned the whole thing. There were a few times where I felt like I would have to just have faith that it was going to work out, she does all the planning effortlessly, it seems too good to be true. We chose the pop up wedding; I had a hair and makeup girl show up to my airbnb with the flower crown I chose, cherry bomb catering catered our food at the wedding which was both easy and tasty, (FYI the only recommendation I have here is to make sure you include beverages like water, and ice for the champagne), our bouquet and Boutonniere were taken care of, we had an amazing photographer included in the package. Yeliz was even our officiant. We had a very small intimate immediate family only pop up wedding. The only thing I'd change is to do it again so I could experience it again.

Jessica is very organized, detailed oriented and knowledgeable about everything wedding that she made the whole wedding planning thing seem easy! My fiance and I were so impressed after the initial consultation and knew we had to have her as our planner. Right after we booked OUATE, my fiance and I had a meeting with Jessica and basically told her everything we wanted, what we didn't want and what we dreamed of having but didn't think we could afford. She also had us fill out a questionnaire to get a sense of our style, get to know us and get an idea of what we envision for our dream wedding. After reviewing everything we gave her, she created a design board with everthing we had talked about. I loved how we got to go thourgh and point out what we liked and what we didn't like. This gave us a great sense of what our wedding was going to look like. Since I had a very hard time picking a theme and staying with that direction, this really helped me get on track and focus on one thing at a time. This also really helped me stop stressing and feeling overwhelmed and let me enjoy the wedding planning process. As a bride, I knew I wanted to be involved in the fun stuff but not the boring, budget related stuff. Jessica was amazing at handling all the stuff I didn't want to do or did not know how to do. We gave her our total budget and she planned around that very well and helped us stay on track. She also did all of the orders (which were a ton since we had our wedding at private estate and had to bring everything in) and delt with the most of our vendors. She has a great working relationship with a ton of wedding vendors in Reno that she was able to get things done and get them done fast! And she had wonderful recommendations for our wedding vendors. We loved them all! During the whole wedding planning process Jessica and her sister, Cassie kept us on track and made sure we were getting things done when they needed to be done. I loved how they took all of my ideas and wishes and made them happen without any questions. The whole time, they were professional but so nice and fun to work with! It made wedding planning a lot of fun! The day of the wedding, I had absolutley nothing to worry about. I sat in the house and got ready while Jessica, Cassie and her team set everything up and dealt with all the vendors. The wedding was not too big but the whole production of it was a lot! We had a ton of flowers, a fire pit, a dessert bar, photo booth, a lounge and a ton of details such a signage and personalized items. Jesssica and her team were so organized and executed everything PERFECTLY! It was above and beyond anything I had even imagined. They took my vision to the next level and made it better than I could had ever wished for. Jessica and Cassie kept the wedding on track the whole night and everything went off witthout a hitch. My husband and I nor our wedding party or family had to lift a finger, it was amazing! We got to spend our time enjoying ourselves while OUATE delt with everything else. Jessica, Cassie and the entire OUATE team are amazing!! They made planning our wedding an absolute joy and I would HIGHLY recommend them for wedding and party planning. Here is why Lindsay is worth e.v.e.r.y. penny: From the moment I picked up the phone for our consult, Lindsay was on my team. Her warm demeanor instantly makes you feel like you're talking to an old friend or family member. She is organized, professional, and experienced: she knows the ins and outs of the industry and maintains good working relationships with local vendors. Her services range from month-of-coordination to full service wedding/event planning, so she truly can meet every couple's needs. She listens to your vision and gives helpful suggestions along the way that still allows you to feel like your event is a personal one instead of "cookie-cutter" or what the vendor wants.... Something that sets Lindsay apart from other vendors is how she keeps an open line of communication to all of her clients, even if you've booked her for month-of-coordination like I did. Despite being incredibly busy, Lindsay was always willing to answer any of my questions promptly throughout my planning process. She also recommended some truly amazing vendors that we cannot imagine having our wedding without in hindsight. Hiring Lindsay was best decision I made in our 15 months of planning because it wouldn't have all been possible without her. 3 stars for the business. 5 stars for Sierra and Robin! Overall, I was very happy with how my…read morewedding turned out. There were some hiccups along the way, but overall, a pretty smooth event. Initially, I was not planning to have a day-of planner because my wedding was at Round Hill Pines, and staff does about 90% of set up. The only thing I really needed help with was decorations. I had enough family and friends willing to help; however, I was going to be 7 months pregnant during the wedding, and I didn't want the added stress of assigning duties to my family and friends and making sure they knew what time to be where, and what to do. Anyway, I hired Plan Your Day, and I was paired up with Sierra. Sierra is awesome. Super approachable, friendly, easy to communicate with, and great to work with. Unfortunately, I had to postpone my wedding due to the Caldor Fire. Sierra said they would roll over my payment to a future date, which was great. Then I am informed in early December 2021 that I'd need to provide a date for my rescheduled wedding by December 31, 2021, or I'd be charged $1,000, or my agreement would be terminated. This was not how the contract is worded. I was rescheduling my wedding, and the Event Rescheduling provision says, "If Client(s) reschedules the Event Date, written notice must be given to the Planner of Client(s)' intention to reschedule the Event Date and if known, identify the new date for the Event ("Rescheduled Event Date")." The contract says, "if known" and I didn't know what the new dates would be when we rescheduled because there was a huge fire in the area. Sharae informed me that she gave me a courtesy of 4 months to provide a new date for my wedding, but the Rescheduling provision does not say when I needed to provide the "rescheduled event date." The contract says, "If Planner is unavailable to perform the Services for the Rescheduled Event Date, then it will be deemed a Termination by Client(s) as outlined below." Either way, Sharae gave me 2 options: A.) Since you have asked for an extension through January or February to provide dates for a rescheduled 2023 wedding. Without a signed written agreement or modified agreement containing 1-2 dates that the wedding will be postponed to, on January 1, 2022, your contract will be considered terminated. But, a new contract will be introduced, signed, and an additional $1000 retainer fee will be applied towards your new event date. This new contract will be signed and due by January 1st to allow for the extended time frame to provide 1-2 rescheduled dates. B.) Without a signed written agreement or modified agreement containing 1-2 dates that the wedding will be postponed to, on January 1, 2022, your contract will be considered terminated and no additional services will be provided. OOOK....with my newly acquired mommy brain, basically, if I didn't have a signed agreement by New Years, I'd either lose my $2,200 that I had already paid or need to pay an additional $1,000. No thank you! I rescheduled my wedding before Sharae's New Years deadline. Fast-forward to 2023 and I'm working with Sierra again, which I was happy about. She was great to work with again, but she seemed to have a lot on her plate. I wasn't too concerned because I had been in close contact with all my vendors already, so I was mainly relying on Sierra for decorations and the ceremony. Unfortunately, Sierra informed me that she would not be there for my wedding, but she did provide me with an amazing replacement - Robin. I was a bit nervous because I never met Robin until the wedding rehearsal, and I didn't know what her background was in event coordination. Robin is superwoman! She handled the flow of the ceremony and kept the wedding events on schedule. A few of the place settings got mixed up, but it wasn't a huge deal. I was also supposed to have 2 people staff my wedding from Plan Your Day, but Sierra said the other person was not available and they could not find a replacement. The issue with that is I paid for 2 vendor meals for Plan Your Day, at $90 per head, and it was too late to deduct a meal. Would I recommend Plan Your Day to others? Unfortunately, I can't say I'd highly recommend Plan Your Day to others, as a business, but I would mention them as a worthwhile company to consider. Did Robin do a fantastic job? Absolutely! I'm not sure if she is a regular employee of Plan Your Day, but I'm glad she was there for my big day!

A very frustrating way to plan a destination wedding. Instead of running our 100,000. 135 person wedding on the actual day of...our planner Taylor Lorz was only there briefly in the beginning, then left and handed it over to her assistant. The 86 candles we had on our beautiful tables never got lit the entire night. Very dissapointing. Her assistant just shrugged her shoulders when I asked her about it.

My fiancé and I held an off-site ceremony and reception at the Ehrman Mansion in the Sugar Pine Point State Park, on the west side of Tahoe. Given that it was an off-site location, there were so many additional details that required our attention that Felicia notified us about and then took control of (in a good way). Although we did not always agree with all of her suggestions (she's sort of a "throw it at the wall and see what sticks" kind of person), she was always extremely receptive to our input and never gave us any pushback if we decided to take another route. She fixed issues the day-of that we weren't even aware of until after the fact, which made our day all the better. Felicia is friendly, hardworking, and we would wholeheartedly suggest her for you wedding coordination needs. Felicia Gantar was worth every penny.
