Beyond happy with the photos we had taken by Rachel! My husband and I did IVF to get our precious baby girl. I wanted to celebrate a moment in our lives that was long awaited with maternity photos. Then Covid hit and everything shut down. I was disappointed about so many things including the inability to celebrate this pregnancy in any way I had hoped. We have never had professional photos taken and I regret not having them for our wedding. When things started to open up I made a post on my neighborhood community page trying to see if there was any way to make it happen. I got lots of responses and GOT Photography was one of the most recommend. I contacted her along with a couple other photographers. She was the most prompt. I also looked at her website and some of her work and realized I had admired he work before. I thought for sure she was going to be way our of budget. However comparing her pricing to what the other photographers quoted me she was right in the same price range but at the higher end. I feel it is justified one thing I feel is important is veiw the photographers work get a good feel for what they do and make sure you like there style. We were able to schedule a date a couple weeks before my due date. Well my daughter ended up showing up 6 weeks early and spent 4 weeks in the NICU. While I was in the hospital I sent a message to Rachel and she was so kind. She waited for me to contact her to reschedule. She ended up needing to reschedule us and I understood and was totally fine with it and my husband's schedule was in the air so I had to contact her to reschedule and when I did she ended up being open that evening. When we showed up she was friendly and made the whole thing much less ackward then it could have been. When she got the proofs back to us we loved all of them and almost bought them all. Wonderful experience from start to finish. Rachel was responsive and helpful when finding a good day to get the pictures we have been wanting. The photo shoot was fun and relaxed. Usually I feel so uncomfortable in front of the camera but we all just felt like it was a day out in the woods. Rachel is the best photographer we could've hoped to have. We booked a family photoshoot with her knowing our dog was having health issues. The same day we were supposed to shoot, we got the devastating news our dog has cancer and only a short while left. Rachel was understanding and compassionate beyond what we could've hoped for and offered to reschedule for no charge. Having MANY friends who are photographers I would have to say GOT Photography is at the very top of the list not only in quality, but in her willingness to go along with special requests, come up with creative ideas and fulfill requests that most photographers simply wouldn't even consider. Rachel was recently asked to hide in the dark so a gentleman could get the special moment of proposing to the love of his life forever recorded! The photo is incredible and I happen to know the couple is most pleased not to mention grateful for the memory they will forever have. I saw a comment stating the folks wanting photos done of themselves acting out scenes from a play they were in then complaining they weren't given direction by Rachel. Well, it confused me because unless she knew the play or were directing the scenes, her "lumbering around" as it was stated so tactlessly was a preposterous comment making the review appear silly and immature. If someone wants to be photographed acting out a play by someone other than the director, they need to hire someone who knows the play. Otherwise how could they be expected to give direction or suggestions for posing. No, all I've seen from this photographer is phenomenal work, high quality photos, extremely happy clients and even folks who are planning to fly from other States just to work with her. Rachel is personable, talented, professional, reasonably priced and as I am the President and founder of one of the she has donated time and photos to to raise money for dogs in need, I find her work impressive and her skill to be above and beyond average. She is willing to give of her time and do her best to accommodate all requests. Rachel says that she prefers email correspondence but doesn't have the best response time. A week before the shoot, I emailed her to confirm the date and time of the shoot, as well as get the address for the location that she'd like to meet. As a prior photographer myself, I would always reach out a week prior to confirm dates and times and to show enthusiasm for the scheduled shoot. I think Rachel is new to the photography game because she seemed like she was in a rush to take the photos. (Granted, it was freaking cold outside and I didn't want to necessarily waste time either.) My husband and I are comfortable in front of a camera and don't need much direction when posing and interacting. I made sure that we faced her and smiled numerous times but, when providing proofs, she didn't give us an option of any photos where we were both actually facing the camera. Almost every picture was a kissing shot or a candid/moving shot. Although the pictures came out great, our parents would probably not want a bunch of kissing shots on their mantle. Other than that, she was great. Very personable. The photos are great quality and the touch ups are flawless. She does a great job and I think that, with a little more time, she'll work out the bugs in her photography experience. I would definitely consider using her services again in the future. read more

Meh. We booked a family shoot through Groupon. It was for a mini-session. PROs The price was VERY reasonable The turn around on the pictures was fast CONs She wasn't helpful with the posing. We were just kind of lumbering around without any help as to what looked good etc. Pictures didn't turn out great. I ended up not buying any prints. Communication was tricky. I had to leave multiple messages to schedule our appointment. At one point I canceled the Groupon thinking her business was defunct. (Which lead us to booking a subsequent session with a photog that worked better for us so it worked out) The business seems new and lacks the level of professionalism I'm used to. Bottom Line This seems to be a new business facing some growing pains. With time and experience it could work out. If you're working with a small budget maybe take a risk but don't expect much. read more

The good reviews are not believable, after my horrible connection with Rachel. My encounter with her quickly dissolved and I didn't continue any further agreements. She comes across as an angry person, very argumentative with threats. Don't think about mentioning her faults, she gets very nasty. I was afraid from myself and my family. The last encounter left me hanging up on her. I went somewhere else, this could have been a Holiday spoiler. read more
