Jeramie was amazing from start to finish! We loved his personality from the moment we met him at a wedding expo. We immediately knew that he was our guy. He is professional, incredibly friendly and down-to-earth. Most importantly, he really knew our venue, from how the sunlight would hit the mountain at different times of day to the best way to avoid the wind. On the day of the wedding, Jeramie really showed his creativity. He took some super-fun shots of both sides of the bridal party, from the guys playing poker to the gals on the ski lift. He kept our energy up all day and made the whole experience fun and happy. Jeramie seems to know all of the vendors in town, too. He coordinated with our florist and baker and even followed up with our baker after she left when we had a question. Unsurpassed venue knowledge, a keen eye for great shots, and a personality that kept us laughing even when we were tired - Jeramie has it all. We can't recommend him enough! read more

He spent countless hours going over details and made sure all our photo requests were met. Jeramie has now been the photographer for two of our daughters' weddings. I find it hard to believe there could be a better wedding photographer. He could also be a stand-up comedian. He makes what could be a tedious process fun for everyone, and also very subtly gives directions to everyone so the photos come out looking as good as possible. Everyone at both wedding loved him, and if you are getting married, you should ask about hiring him. His fees are very reasonable and the quality is outstanding. read more

We had an absolutely phenomenal experience with Jeramie! He did family photos for us, along with some very sentimental shots, which all turned out amazing. We even experienced high winds and having to reschedule THREE times due to weather, and he worked with a complicated calendar to get it in AND get our photos back to me ASAP. I contacted Jeramie after seeing his work on social media over the years. My daughter is graduating from high school this year and I'd been looking forward to hiring him. I wanted something very different than the standard yearbook picture and very personalized to my daughter. I wanted something hanging on my wall that I could look back on in 20 years and remember exactly who she was at 17 years-old. I told Jeramie what I had in mind and did my best to describe what I had envisioned. He did not disappoint! Not only are her portraits exactly what I asked for, he executed my vision even better than I'd seen it in my mind. He was very professional- you can tell he's had more than a little experience getting great posing, lighting, and background, and making his clients feel comfortable in front of the camera. I hope he's still around when my next 3 kiddos become high school seniors! read more

The second I saw Jeramie's work I knew we had to have him for our wedding. Backed by an award-winning reputation, his electric energy and artistic eye had us laughing and smiling all day, leaving us with the MOST UNFORGETTABLE wedding photos. That's just Jeramie. Not only did my husband and I love him, but so did my guests and my other vendors. Jeramie and his team understood the mission and delivered with style and pizzazz. And to say he went above and beyond is an understatement... This man was sprayed with champagne by the bridesmaids, risked his life on a ladder with our videographer to capture the perfect wedding dress shot, and even followed the bridal party down a mine in an effort to capture our special day. If you need to choose one vendor over all others, I highly recommend Jeramie Lu Photography. He was, without a doubt, worth every penny, and it was such a comfort not to worry about my wedding day photos. His team was professional, communicative, and had an uncanny ability to make everyone on the other side of the lens feel comfortable. I can't wait to work with him again for future milestones and family photos. read more

Let me start by saying that I HATE getting my picture taken. That being said, Jeramie made me as comfortable as I could possibly be during this experience. He made me laugh right from the start so I loosened up, and gave me great directions on posing for my headshot since I didn't know what I was doing. Jeramie is the ONLY photographer to work with in Reno! He is that good. I feel bad I'm only writing this review three years after our shoot on Veterans Day 2021. His MUA, Tina is also really nice and helpful. During the shoot, Jeramie was outgoing, helpful and coaches you so you are comfortable. I felt like I was talking to someone I've known my whole life. Previously, I was working with a former Hawaiian based photographer who also relocated to Reno, but his editing was subpar in comparison to Jeramie's expertise. Jeramie's images landed me work very quickly. Thank you!!! read more

I am completely blown away with Jeramie's services. We had the opportunity to meet and have him and his team shoot our wedding in October of 2023. With a few meetings before the big day Jeramie was able to figure out our style and vision for the shoot. We had soooo much fun throughout the entire shoot. There were none stop laughs, talking and good times for the entire wedding party with Jeramie, he helped with any nerves we had and really helped keep the entire thing on tack and time. We got so many innovative shots we never would have thought of and as for the serious shots, Jeramie truly captured my wife's beauty and somehow made me pretty handsome as well. I recommend Jeramie's services fully and will absolutely be booking another session with him in the future. read more

Not being from Lake Tahoe, we were shooting in the dark for a photographer. We Found Jeramie online with a google search. We liked his website and photos so hired him for our wedding. Literally, overnight, the COVID limitations changed everything including our venue and we ended up postponing the wedding in June yet went forward using Jeramie for a "family photo shoot." He was so easy to work with and his personality made it such a memorable experience. We all loved him and we love our photos. This experience went from being a disappointment but added a very special memory to our Summer of 2020! Jeramie is hands down the expert you need to capture your event. One of the most important things to my Husband and I when we first started wedding planning was to find the most top-notch photographer. I asked a good friend, who is also a wonderful photographer, who she would recommend, and she mentioned Jeramie Lu would be awesome for our wedding. Throughout the wedding process and chatting with multiple vendors, Jeramie's name was constantly brought up as a source of connection. Not only did he take the most beautiful wedding photos but his leadership in helping coordinate the day of, his connection with my guests and our vendors, and the encouragement and support through the entire wedding process is more than what we could have asked for. Considering a photographer like Jeramie is well worth the cost. He captured the moments we wanted to last forever, so well, that we can. Thank you, Jeramie! read more

There are too many good things to say about Jeramie and his photography! First, Jeramie (the person) is incredible. He's gracious, patient, organized, kind, and hilarious. We hired him for engagement photos after meeting him at a company holiday party where he stole the show. The pictures turned out amazing and Jeramie made the process easy and enjoyable! We then promptly hired him for our wedding. Throughout both processes, Jeramie was communicative and patient with us. He was also very generous, trickling in little personal gifts and surprises along the way, making everything exciting and adding a very human touch to our stress-filled wedding planning. He was also willing to travel to our wedding venue in Monterey (through a snowstorm as it turns out) in order to make our day perfect. We truly couldn't appreciate him more! As a photographer, Jeramie is professional, detail oriented, highly skilled, and has an important and uncanny knack for making the subject of the shot feel at ease and natural. As people who don't love getting our photos taken, this was really critical for us, and something that we didn't ever really consider. He has a natural ability to make things fun and relaxed, which comes through in his shots. He also captures the unique style of his subjects-we were completely blown away by how perfectly and uniquely "us" our photos turned out. Jeramie was integral in helping us carve out our wedding timeline (beyond just the photo shoots) and he coordinated behind the scenes with our day-of coordinator and other vendors to ensure that things went off as smoothly as possible (which they did!). Both our day-of coordinator and hair and makeup team went out of their way to tell us how amazing Jeramie was as a photographer and to work with-both industry professionals expressed that they had never had a photographer be so engaged with the entire vendor team, reaching out to sync with everyone ahead of time and seeing what they needed so that they day would be seamless. He also worked with us to create a custom photo package that fit our budget, and was very helpful and flexible every step of the way! Most importantly, the photos look incredible! We couldn't be happier with the way he captured our unique style and the sweet, intimate and special moments of our wedding. He does a hugely impressive job of blending staged photos that look like something out of a beautiful film, with candid photos of speeches, dancing, drinking, and laughing throughout the event, always with the perfect lighting, and making the subject look like a model. Simply put, Jeramie is the complete package! Stop your search and hire him immediately for your wedding, engagement photos, or any other event/occasion. Booking Jeramie Lu is the best decision we could have made for our wedding! read more

What can I say about Jeramie? Literally the best photographer in Reno and beyond! He originally did my daughter's wedding last year and today he did family photos for us. Honestly I don't even know where to begin with how amazing this experience was for our family. Growing up I never had family pictures done so when I started my own family I knew it was something I wanted to give my kids. I was nervous and didn't know what to expect, but Jeramie was the absolute perfect balance of playful and professional. He explained to us that family photos are more about the moment and the experience in the moment rather than just what you wear, which honestly I was so stressed about. He made us all feel so comfortable and the way he interacted with our kids and was so awesome to see! In hindsight it doesn't matter what you wear it matters who have to catch the moments. So if you're looking for an amazing experience which in turn gives you AMAZING pictures.. this is the photographer for you!! read more

Jeramie created an extraordinary experience from beginning to end. He always responded within two days of reaching out, and communicated regularly throughout the entire pre-wedding process. Everything he does is of the highest quality, and when I saw the photos my mouth dropped to the floor. Our sunset photos were especially out of this world! He's fun, friendly and really makes you feel at ease during the session. His studio is well equipped and relaxed. What a great experience!
