They are good photographers, but when I called for a new appointment they said you can just walk in with no appointment. So the next day (Wednesday) I walk in as instructed. Well, as it turns out, they are not open Wednesday unless you have an appointment. I am not a mind reader, and you would think that by calling in advance I would be told what to do by the owner. I took in a photo of my mother that was disintegrating and it was restored beautifully! It did not look at all as if there had ever been any damage. The photo was from the late 1930's. I also got copies of several photos from the early 1900's and he also did a beautiful job on those. I highly recommend this shop! They do excellent work. read more

I don't think the photographer has 10 years of professional experience, I don't think the photos on their website are photos taken by the people who currently run it themselves, and I would also be surprised if the reviews posted here on yelp are in reference to anyone currently running this place. I hope none of what my gut is telling me about this place is true but I'm sorry to say I get a someone bought the location and name along with 10 years of built reputation and reviews because "photography is so easy, anyone can take a picture" type vibe. Or maybe it's just we got a new photographer, either way it was a little disappointing. Why do I say this? Because the photo was ok but he made the subject look fat when they are definitely not fat. He didn't know how to photograph an individual from a flattering angle. Which is red flag number one of a photographer that lacks skills, a true professional photographer knows how to pose a subject and place the camera at just the right angle to flatter the subject. Idk, do photographers generally photograph from below a subject? I was always under the impression that above is more flattering. The studio is there, sure, he might have a good camera but it was honestly the same as if I had rented a studio and brought a friend who doesn't know jack about photography to take the photos. read more

I gotta say I was very nervous of how our photos will come out since we are newly to the area not sure what type of service we was gonna come across. Superb service for non US passport photos. If you go to FedEx they only do US passport photos and look terrified when you tell them the head dimensions are the same, it just needs to be trimmed differently. Discovered this place recommended via the Australian embassy website. Located in a little mall strip next to a car washing place. The photographer was waiting for us as I had called in about 45min prior to check if they are open. Photographer told me they would open at 11:15am (new hrs due to Covid). I checked to see if he could take Australian passport photos. He assured me he could. We all turned up, my husband sat down with a white shirt on, the photographer asked him to cover his white shirt due to the white background. A jacket goes on and photographer asked me to adjust my husband's collar jacket. Appreciated the tip. I mean, this picture would be on our passport for 10yrs! After that, a picture was snapped. My turn, snap. My daughter's turn, photographer recommended flyaway hair to be flattened/straighten down. Pose. No smiling! (Ahhh, it's hard when daddy makes faces at the kids). Snap! Son's turn - again, no smiling! And snap! We waited about 5-10min for the final results. He had a template for international passport sizing. Makes it easy to get it just right. Before we left, I had him measure for me the photo sizes. Everything was perfect. read more

My husband had his passport photo taken here and so did I. The lady is very patient and she knew very well about how to take the pictures. My hair covered my eyebrows and she told me to comb my hair a little so the picture would be qualified. Though I had the photo taken more than three times, she is still being very patient. I didn't like my first picture and she was not satisfied with the second and third, so it takes a little long to have the picture taken. But it takes less than five minutes to print and cut the picture once a picture was chosen, and I am very satisfied with the picture I got. Their service includes one photo for a reasonable price, including consultation, staging, lighting, posing, multiple shots to choose from, selection process (one photo is selected, but they will give you an option to select more at a reasonable up-charge), Photo Shop touch up, then final delivery of photo by email. This studio made my passport photo process very simple. For its cheap price and quality, there's nothing to complain about. I went to Walgreens when shopping around for photos and they used a cheap camera with no professional lighting, ultimately creating a poor printed photo. Magic Touch used DSLR w/ flash and let me review my photos and re-take if I wanted before printing whereas Walgreens took one without a review and just handed me the final product. read more

My husband and I came here 2 years ago for family photos with our, at the time, 3 dogs. I can't remember the guy's name who took our photos, but he was fantastic! My dogs are extremely energetic and did not cooperate as well as I had wished they had, but the photographer was absolutely patient with them. We contacted Magic Touch about taking the pictures for my daughters wedding 6 days before it was to take place at the Atlantis casino. We were all coming from out of town and wouldn't be there until the day before. I also contacted many of other photographers and Magic Touch had the best package, and for at least $2,000 cheaper than the rest. Kirby had us stop by the studio the day before and went to the casino to look at where the wedding and reception were going to be. Kirby and another photographer were at the wedding for about 8 hours and took pictures of my daughters wedding preparation (getting dressed up and made up) with her mother and brides maids, the wedding and the reception. The pictures came out fantastic and the package even included a canvas picture of our choice, all the files of the pictures, a guest book, and a wedding album all for $1250. You just can't beat and the service was exceptional. Don't think you have to spend a million dollars to get priceless wedding photos. Thank you Magic Touch! read more

I took my kids to see Santa at shoppers square today after calling and asking how busy it was, how the Santa was and if taking my own pictures would be allowed. I was told that the Santa was great, there was no line and if there wasn't anyone waiting, taking my own pictures would be fine. ..... Santa was ok , we were the only ones there and I asked again if taking my own pictures was ok and was told sure, sure go ahead. While taking pics of my kids ( 2 and 5) with Santa the lady asked me not to use the flash and I turned it off. After they got off Santa's lap I was asked to look at the pictures the lady had taken and did. While trying to decide what pose I wanted I was told I need to make my decision, to which I said don't be rude, there is no one waiting and I am making my decision. Right after my reply I asked if I could come back in a bit and was told no so I said ok and thanks and started to walk off, the lady told me then and only then that I had to delete the pictures I had taken and had asked twice if I could take. I told her no and started to walk off. She then told me that I was stealing and that I had to and that I was teaching my children to steal. I told her over my shoulder that I wasn't stealing and that I wasn't teaching my kids to steal..... and then the entire time we were walking away the man with the lady taking pictures was yelling thief, thief, thief and walking out of the area toward us. He was yelling so loud it stared drawling attention to us and the lady finally told him to stop. My kids experience of Santa is now being yelled at and being told their mother is a thief. I immediately calling the shoppers square number to let them know what was going on,.... I talked to the lady that I had talked to the first time I called and told her all of the above to which she said sorry and asked me to say it all again on speaker phone to the manager. I did and the manager told me that she didn't mean to discredit my story but that she was going to get their side of it and call me back. I told her ok and let her know that I would be writing this review of what happened as NO Childs experience of visiting Santa should be negative. As soon as I told her I would be writing a review she got nasty and told me that in that case there was no reason to say anything to them and hung up on me after she quickly said thanks and have a good day, click! So I called back and told them who I was again and that it was wrong to get angry and nasty towards a customer when calling to let them know of a horrible experience they had in their business, that it was simply bad business. That conversation was short and after telling me there was nothing else to discuss the lady said sorry like it personally pained her. I couldn't believe we had this experience visiting Santa and that this is how the management handled it. Had I been asked not to take pictures of told I would be expected to buy a picture if taking my own I would have not done it, but that was not the case, I asked twice and twice was told it was ok. A bit of insight..... these photographers rent year round from shoppers square, they have a photography studio there and do all the special event photos there so beware!!! read more
