Asked Key Cycling to tune my bike, re-wrap the handlebars, change the inner tubes and stem on my tires, polish it up and get it back ready to ride. My bike is a Klein road bike that is about 16 years old and the owner/guy in the shop who was really nice did a fantastic job and had it ready within 24 hours. And everything was done for about $180. So I'm out on the road enjoying the beach and the scenery around Key Biscayne. read more

Andrew was AWESOME!!! I ordered bikes and he delivered. I made a mistake by not making sure he understood what type bike we wanted. He said keep the bikes and try them. Very friendly service and amazing bikes for rent. You can pay $20 for 2 hours or $25 for the entire day. My friend paid $25 for the day and got a cannondale bike, this price includes a lock and a helmet. I brought my own bike with me but wanted them to check it out because my brake was making a funny sound. They checked it and fixed it for free. We rode around key biscayne for the day and both my personal bike and the rental bike were amazing. I will definitely be back and recommend this bike shop 100%! read more

A common theme I sense on this island either those that love/work here is that they seriously lack customer service skills. I don't know if it's a cultural thing or if I am just sensitive to it since I too am in the industry. However, if you are in a retail type environment, then not being an @$$hole to your clientele should be paramount. Key Cycling had bikes to fit all of my family (2 adults, a 10 yr old and a 6 yr old) and none could offer this. We had an amazing day biking all over the island and it would not have been possible without Key. Get in and get out with what you need. Don't make pleasantries a priority. Went for Valentine's Day in a bike ride around all of key biscayne. The staff at Key Cycling was I credibly friendly, parking was easy, and the bikes were in great shape! Easy going and friendly staff. Great service. Great bikes. The bikes rode smoothly and were in excellent condition. We had to leave Key Biscayne two days early due to an unforeseen issue at home and even though the shop is closed on Sundays, we received fast and clear communication from the staff with detailed directions on where/how to leave the bikes for drop off on a different day. Rented a bike for the week as my primary transportation while vacationing on Key Biscayne. Got a flat tire while riding on the bike path just west on Virginia key, called the shop and the owner, Sergio, grabbed a replacement bike, hopped in his truck and came right over. I just read the two 1-star reviews below and am really surprised because we had a fantastic experience with this shop. I called several times over a 1 month period before our vacation to south FL and every time the person who answered was always helpful. Not chatty, but polite and answered my questions. When we arrived to rent bikes I explained that we wanted to rent at least 1 bike and 1 tow behind wagon for my husband and older daughter. The guy helping us (I think the owner) was confused about why we weren't getting a bike for me and my younger daughter too, and I explained that I didn't think we could fit it all in our rental car (a small SUV) and that we would have to try and rent bikes from Shark Valley where we were going. (We didn't want to rent all the bikes Shark Valley because my older daughter was too big for the Shark Valley bike seats, and my very tall husband wanted a bike that actually fit him). The guy then spent a very long time figuring out the best system for our family, including seats for both kids- no tow behind wagon. He knew the trail we were going to and assured us the kids would be happier in seats where they could see better (he was very right about that). He also helped us fit two bikes into our rental car so we wouldn't have to arrive early to Shark Valley to secure a bike there. This was no small feat. We had to remove both wheels off both bikes so he gave us a tutorial on how to get the wheels back on. And he didn't just do this in the store, he walked out to our car to make sure everything worked before actually charging us anything. Then when signing the rental agreement he spotted us 15 minutes on the 24 hr return time, rounding to the next hour. We returned the bikes the next day exactly at the hour and he never even looked at his watch. I don't know for sure but I think if we had been a few minutes after the hour he wouldn't have charged us for another day. The bikes themselves were fine, nothing to write home about but they were rentals after all so I wouldn't expect first rate. They worked fine, had gears which was nice (the bikes at Shark Valley were just cruisers), comfy seats, and a very reasonable price. We were very happy with this shop and felt lucky to have ended up there, definitely recommend! read more

Friendly service. Perfunctory bikes available at reasonable prices. You do not need the whole day unless you have plans to go sleep on a beach. Key Biscayne to Miami can be cycled end to end and back in 2 hours by tourists from D.C. But get the helmet and lock. read more

Key Cycling saved my @$$. I bought a bike on craigslist....what a mistake. After spending about $100 to fix it up on my own, I realized my $50 craigslist huffy was just not going to get me from point A to point B in time. I threw in the towel. My goal is to ride my bike about 9 miles to work everyday. After talking with Sergio and Pablo I understood that I needed something that will get me here quickly and comfortably. With no pressure at all, they recommended a few bikes within my budget, and went out of their way to help me pick the right bicycle for the job. I realized I had bought a Medium frame bike on craigslist and what I need is an XL. I was impressed with the fact that they new the specs of every bike I asked about (weight, brake system, top speed, suspension, etc..). The shop is well organized and has a wide variety of bikes and accessories. They even prepared the bike for me to ride home that same night within a few minutes. Adding Front and rear L.E.D. lights so I could see and be seen by cars. These guys really love what they do & care for their customers, and it shows from the moment you walk in the door. I needed a bike for my first triathlon and was recommended to Key Cycling by the fine folks at Mack Cycle. I called to inquire about available bikes and spoke with a salesman for about a minute about available bikes. When I called back five minutes later to reserve one, I got no answer. So I tried a couple more times. On the third try, suddenly the guy picks up the phone and screams, "I saw you calling! I'm busy! I'll call you when I have time!" and slams the phone down ... I'd avoid these guys. Total clowns. read more

Went in at 10:30 today and rented 2 bikes for 2days. Rode everywhere on the key in 5 hours. Called back at 4 pm (they close at 7pm) to tell them we will be returning them this evening before closing and was told thats fine but they wont refund the extra day as thats how they do business. Makes me want to dispute the charges so they get nothing at all. Stay away and use Mangrove rental instead. read more

Recently I took my bike for a mantainance, they charged me $50, wife went to pick it up, bike was with the brakes all mess up, back red light that i got for Christmas was missing and the seat was broke a tape on tape to correct the cut seat was place, when i returned the bike complaining about the 3 issues, owner recognize the back light and replace it with a new one, so i mention the seat and the bike not been well adjust so I have to leave the bike again, today I went to pick it up break was OK but no support on the seat, owner was convince thats the way the bike was because his mechanic say so. is not about the money, the seat is no more than $20, but is the accountability and quality of service, avoid them at all cost, here the customer is never right. read more
