It is basically one of those hole in the wall bars, but it is actually located in a small arcade that runs down the side of Glenfernie railway station. I stumbled across it one afternoon, wandered inside and ending up having a great conversation with the bar tender. When it comes to beers, they have some pretty good ones of tap, however, while it didn't seem to be much at first, when I discovered the basement I literally fell in love with the place. That basement is so laid back and relaxing, and it just feels like one of those places that I could spend hours in with a group of friends.

There's also some decent beers on the menu for those who want to cobble together their own boiler-makers. The set up is great and the inventory on display behind the bar simply mouth-wateringly impressive. One thing was that there didn't seem to be any whiskey 'bible' listing exactly what they had. Understand the logistics of keeping something like that up to date with prices and new inclusions etc can be annoying, but it would have been fun for us to read over, whiskey in hand, looking for the next one to try. I'm sure the staff - all very friendly and welcoming, with table service - would be able to help steer you toward something to suit your tastes and price range, but I do enjoy the tactile experience of flicking through a full drinks menu.

That's the wow moment when you don't want to sit outside neither are fond of the dim-light inside space. They offer good selections of wine and beer. Backyard offers the atmosphere for a fresh and delightful conversation with your friends meanwhile it he inside space provides a bit of magic for romance. When you just want to drink all these factors become pretty important. Comprising of a few different levels, an outdoors area and a lot of seating, Nevermind pulls steady crowds and has a really nice atmosphere. I've never felt uncomfortable or picked up any dodgy vibes. Its just a nice location and is filled with seemingly nice people. Due to the large amount of couches Nevermind is the perfect location to catch up with friends or even hold an event. The only thing I have a problem with is continuously walking up and down stairs to get drinks but it doesn't seem to bother me too much once I've had a few.

My dining partner and I decided to go with the tasting plates ( we did a bit of research and looked at other restaurant review websites) We had the Oysters with champagne sauce ( $4 ea), beetroot with white anchovies ( plate of 6 or 8), salmon terrine ( 3 dollops served with witlof salad and croutons), garlic prawns( 2), saffron arancini ( 3 pieces) and aubergine filled with tomato ( 3 pieces). A few items were not available which was disappointing and suggested that the kitchen could be a bit more organised??
